Advice

Honestly, if you want a good, painless suggestion....here's advice from the biggest pain chicken you'll ever meet!

First, I suggest getting a few waxes from a professional first.....WHY? Because 1 you can generally drink at these places....some wine or shots (pls have a DD) and 2 because they do it in about 30 minutes as opposed to you the first timer taking 3 hours with bald spots. 3, because after 3 waxes, your bikini hair is thinner & easier to wax. And 4 because you can WATCH what they are doing, how they are doing it and how long they leave the strip on, etc

After two or three waxes from a professional, you should have a good base to do it yourself......it's the BEST way to start!

easy removal
submitted by: Farzana, Mon Feb 19 2007

Immediately after applying the wax, use the edge of the small applicator to flick up around 1/4 inch at the bottom of the applied strip. When the wax has cooled enough for removal, grip the flicked up portion of the strip and pull against the hair growth. This should remove the wax easily and painlessly.
This tip really helps so if anyone is having problems with getting the wax off when cooled, please try it. This is a great product once you have got the hang of it so don't give up!

Minimize the Pain
submitted by: Gigi User, Wed Nov 22 2006

Waxing hurts. But I think you can minimize the pain. Just take a couple of ibuprofens or drink a glass of wine before you start. Play some soothing music, set aside 2 hours for the process, and burn some scented candles. Use a mirror. Wax small sections at a time. Try to figure out the direction your hair grows; put the wax on in the same direction it grows and pull the wax off in the opposite direction. Don't wax right before your period comes on--your more sensitive.

Make your pull tab bigger
submitted by: ephymeris, Wed Oct 25 2006
3 of 3 people found this tip helpful.

If you are worried about having a big enough "pull tab" to start your pull with, just gently tug the still slightly warm wax long-ways gently then press the wax flatter with your fingers to make a slightly bigger pull tab. Wait briefly for the wax to cool enough then hold the skin taut and quickly remove the wax as instructed.

how to take hard wax off
submitted by: jen, Tue Oct 10 2006
10 of 11 people found this tip helpful.

I have not used this product, but I am an esthetician and I can wax. You are using a hard wax, which you don't use the muslin strips with. Use a popsicle stick to apply, then leave the end of the wax turned up a little so you have something to pull. Then, pull straight back, not up as is the tendency. Then immedialty apply pressure with your other hand to the area. Hope it helps!

Cold Hands
submitted by: Stephanie, Sun Mar 05 2006
8 of 10 people found this tip helpful.

When I did my wax, I was freezing my a** off and so my hands were freezing cold. The wax gets brittle when it gets cold. A few patches I had to prepare myself and so while I was holding the wax preparing myself, it apparently got too cold and just broke into pieces every time I tried to pull... so just try to keep yourself warm!

Also, (not so great of a tip) but I found that working on very small patches at a time is useful, and it hurts less... even though it takes a while.

read the instructions

i swear the people having problems have not read the instructions. read them twice, then proceed.
also don't do home waxing, unless your have gotten it professionally done, anywhere, so you have an idea what it is suppose to look like.
oh, and stop b*****ing about the pain. ripping the hair out of you genital area hurts--bad--no matter what you do. you have to be really commited to hairless perfection to do brazillian. do it to look good in a tiny bikini, not for your boyfriend. you will hate him when you are done, you won't hate the bikini.

Good Luck!

Application technique
submitted by: Shanna, Sun Dec 18 2005
34 of 35 people found this tip helpful.

If you are trying to pull a strip of wax off and it starts breaking off in little pieces, stop. Apply more wax and let it harden. I found that when I did this, the new wax hardened onto the old wax and it pulled off much easier. When the wax is applied too thin, it breaks off in little chunks, which is painful. If this happens, just put some more wax on and then proceed.

Keeping wax warmed during application
submitted by: Kimberly, Sun May 01 2005

Use an electric candle warmer to keep the wax warm after microwaving, just place a piece of aluminum foil between the warmer and the container of wax.

This product is great!!
