No Good For Me

Beyond the fact that waxing is painful (we all know that), I found it worse without the strips because I could not section it off as well. This seemed to hurt MORE, but maybe that was because it wouldn't pull off as fast as the strips, and it was like pulling a band aid off slowly. Plus the wax hardened too quickly, and the wax-off is a joke. Also, all the products except one smell nasty and gave me a headache. I'm going back to strips.
Worked great but be careful!

This is the best wax I have ever used. I would caution, however, that the wax takes much longer than 30 seconds to melt. I tried quite a few times while reheating to break the surface of the wax and couldn't do it. I was heating in 30 second intervals and took the wax out at one point to try to stir it, I broke the surface of the wax and it splattered all over me. Thankfully, I wasn't burned but my shirt was ruined. Just be VERY careful. Next time I will heat it a few times and just let it sit for awhile before trying to stir it. Also, I would have to say that it is very messy and somewhat runny. The results, however, are fantastic and quick!

I was a first time user of this product, and I was quite satisfied with its final results. this product is easy to use, and it's not messy unlike other products fo the same type. And anybody can use it, as it's simple.

I was a first-timer for bikini waxes (at home or otherwise) and found the GiGi Brazilian Bikini Wax kit to be pretty good! Reading reviews of others helped with using this product, I recommend you do the same. My only complaint is that it hurt...a lot. If you've done this before, I'm sure you can stand the pain and you'll like this product.
I love this Wax!!

This is by far the best waxing kit that I have used. The hard wax makes it easier to clean up than other waxing kits. It hurts the first time, but not nearly as much as other waxing kits that I have tried have. It works best if you take the wax off before it cools completely - it takes the most hair out and the heat numbs it a little. It is quick, relatively painless, and inexpensive and I have already recommended it to all of my friends. By the way, who gets wax from a brazilian waxing kit on their cat??
Good stuff!

While waxing isn't the most fun thing to do, this stuff seems to work pretty well for an at home system. I'd much rather do this myself than go to a salon and pay 3 times as much as this product. I'm becoming a regular user!

This is by far the best wax kit I have used. The first time you use it, it is painful, but that is expected. After that, it doesn't hurt as much when you do touch ups. I didn't think it was that messy, it was actually pretty easy to work with.

definatly a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it very easy! make sure you let the wax harden enough because it wont rip out the hair it will just pull apart. definatly good value, ive used it 3 times already stil at least another 2 left!

I love this wax system. I love the fact that you don't have to use strips. That alone reduces what is already a messy process. I didn't have a problem pulling the wax off at all. Make sure you put it on thick enough. Make it thicker at the end that you wish to start ripping off the wax. If your layer is too thin there is no way you will get the results you want.
The wax itself is great. But the other products you can probably do without. The pre-treatments are nice, I particularly like the oil. But the creme that is supposed to help you remove excess wax is useless. It just doesn't work at all. The truth is, instead of using the creme included in the box, baby oil, or even petroleum jelly, just use acetone. Yes acetone is a miracle solvent and will remove the was in no time. Use cotton balls drenched in nail polish remover to swipe the excess wax off. Or, just fill a bowl/container with nail polish remover and submerge whichever part of the skin has the excess wax in it. This really help because I have long nails and found that some wax did manage to get on my hands.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it will take more than 30 seconds to heat the wax, I'd say 1 to 2 minutes. But be careful because when you remove the wax from your microwave, it may not look melted from the top. Just poke through the layer that remained solid and you will discover that the bottom layer is melted through. And use caution because I didn't realize this at first and it was only after a tested the wax with the wooden applicator and had boiling hot (yes, it was boiling) wax splash all over my right hand did I get it. Luckily, I didn't really get burned because the wax cooled so quickly on contact.

very messy product. 30 seconds to melt in the microwave was a joke. it was more like two minutes. once the product is applied, it definetly sticks, but the pulling off process isn't that good. it breaks really easy and is hard to get a good grip to pull off. the only thing that i liked was the wax off product. after the mess it was good to take off. a lot of the hardened product is left behind, so the wax off was great. i will not purchase this again.

i have searched far and wide for a hard wax that isn't painful and works well. this stuff is wonderful. it's actually a creamy green color instead of a dark honey color. i'm not sure what makes it work so well, but it rips the hair out effectively and leaves nothing behind. fairly pain free as well! i usually don't even bother with the pre and post waxing formulas as i find that a coating of jing jang creme afterwards works better than their lotions. something to keep the hair from growing back so quickly might be nice.
Ouch, but worth it!

I really liked this product set. All the products smell good, the wax heats up nicely, and they worked awesome! It is a little messy, but cleanup is easy. It's not quite as painful as some imply. I felt like I really pampered myself with all the side products that are included when I was finished! I will definitely continue to use it.

I found this product excellent to work with and throughly removed all the hair with no more pain or discomfort than at the professional salon, and I can buy over 4 wax kits for the same price as one BB wax at the spa. Well worth doing it yourself! I've tried other products but couldn't remove the hair-it was a nightmare! Not with GiGi BB Wax kit though, it was a breeze. Getting the excess wax off after I was finished was a bit of a pain-the wax off doesn't work that well. I am going to try using baby oil next time (I have found it works well to remove excess wax). I also read on the package that petrolum jelly works too, so try that also. I really recommend this wax product and have already told my friends about it. Try it, I'm sure you will agree.
GiGi Wax Kit Great

I have had a hard time finding a place in my home town that will wax a male. I bought GiGi Brazilian wax kit. It is great, instructions could be better. Had to heat it up more that they suggested. Go about 45 sec at a time, stir and maybe heat more, when very soft like honey you are ready. Spead a litte on, try to get a blob on the stick to spread. Then spead over a area about as wide as two fingers and as long as what the spreader stick is. Fan the area to cool and when it is firm hold skin down in direction hair grows. Pull up against direction of hair. There is plenty of product in the bottles and the jar of wax. I had only stopped shaving for a week and got good results. After removing the wax I placed it on a wax paper. When I was all done I put all the wax back in the jar and heated it so it would soften and go back in. I think I can get at least five uses out ot the kit. I will buy more, sure cheeper than the spa. Now I need to figure how I can get my wife to wax too. Then we could wax each other. Any suggestions? At any rate great product and next time I think it will be even easier yet.

I just got the kit yesterday and immediately tried it out, but i was very disappointed with the instructions. How exactly do you peel the wax off? I know you put it on thick and let it dry till it's pliable, but how do you peel it up from your skin to create leverage to yank it off?? When I tried it, I peeled a little bit from the end up, yanked hard and only a tiny chunk came off.I gave up after about 15 minutes, because I don't feel like yanking off a thousand little pieces when I can get it off in about 10 clean strips. How do you get it to come off in a strip?? for all you people who are RAVING about this product, can you give me a little bit of advice as to how you got the product to work so well?
First time I have done a bikini wax on myself

I have read a couple of reviews of bikini wax products. The GiGi Brazilian Bikini Wax seemed to get good reviews all around, so that was the reason why I bought it.
Since this was my first time to use such a product, I do not know how well other bikini wax products perform. Nevertheless, I found the GiGi Brazilian Bikini Wax to perform very well. It really grabbed on to the hairs. So, if you make a mistake, you have no choice but to yank it off. Else, you have to spend at least 30 minutes in the shower or tub to melt/soften the wax off.
As for the pain factor, I think, it is normal that pulling your hair off can be a painful experience. Some areas seem to be more sensitive than others. I was starting to sweat from the pain at some point. It was funny that screaming seemed to help ease the pain. (Laughing.) To manage the pain, work on tiny sections at a time. It is time consuming, but it really did help. This is strange, but... I used masking tape to section parts off. Try it! It worked for me!
As for the cons of this product, I needed to re-heat the product a few times to keep the consistency. Other than that, I am pretty happy with the product and I will be using the product again.
Enjoy!

I have got great results using this product. I'm not sure why other posters didn't have much luck with it capturing all of the hairs because that's one of the things it does best with me.
Some things that I've noted -
The wax takes much longer in my microwave to heat up than the directions indicate it should. I get the best results when the wax is pretty darn warm & very fluid. If the wax isn't melted enough, I've found that it doesn't adhere to the hairs as well.
I often have to take several breaks to heat up the wax again.
I have not had a problem with it being messy. The wax is a bit stringy, so I kind of twirl it on the applicator until all the stringy-ness is gone, then I apply it.
Sometimes the wax does tear off only in little bits rather than as a full strip. Try changing the thickness of the amount you put on or vary how long you wait until you pull it off & that might help.
It is painful, but I never expected that ripping out hair *down there* would be anything but painful! The results are worth it though :-)
In summary, I love this product, it's saving me tons of money and I'm telling all my friends about it.
