This product works great!! removes all the hairs. The wax is messy so you'll need to find a good area to do it in. Also the key to using it is don't let the wax dry too long give it only around 30 secs after you put it on to remove it. I wouldn't recommend this item for legs as its hard to do large areas with the wax, but if your looking for just something for the bikini area this is the product to buy. I will buy again and again.
Not worth it

This product is not worth buying. It only allows you to wax in small areas and the wax is a mess to work with. Little pieces of wax was everywhere. Strips work better.
Terrible

I thought this product would be quick and easy....no strips etc. But, it is terrible. It sticks like taffy and when it hardens you basically have to chip it off your legs. It took forever to get all the pieces off my legs. I tried allot to a little bit of the product and nothing worked. As a matter of fact I returned the product for a refund!!
Excellent Product

I used the non-microwaveable strip-free formula, and found it highly effective. It is better than the microwaveable formula, because the temperature stays the same during your entire waxing session. You just place the can inside of a standard warmer (I bought mine for under $20).
The key to this working is that the wax CANNOT be left on too long, otherwise it breaks when you pull it off. It can be used anywhere. It works fine on hairs that are a little shorter too (although it is better to let them grow).
One problem is that you can only do SMALL areas at a time,
but it is GREAT to do it in the privacy of your home, anytime you want!
Stop wasting time and paying too much at the salon!!!

Anonymous but neatly waxed!

I read all the reviews on this site before I bought my wax kit and thought, "yeah right, I'm sure these are all real, who has time to write reviews on waxing kits!"...but here I am! I am a VERY busy mom and physician, and on top of that I love to look my best but have little time for all the details at the salon...I mean weekly trips to the salon for hair, nails, and waxes is OUT of the question! I used to spend $85 every trip to the salon for bikini and underarm waxing just to have to go home and get in the bathroom light and see all kind of hairs left behind that had to be painfully tweezed anyway! What a waste! A few of my girlfriends waxed at home and talked me into trying it...so I asked my salon what brand wax they use and got on line and bought it - GiGi brand is used by MANY salons, probably the ones you have been giving money away to for so long!!! I got the microwave kit b/c I didn't want to have to do the whole warmer thing, and it works GREAT!!!! Just heat it in the microwave for a few minutes, stir, smooth on with the applicator stick, let cool for a few seconds or longer, then quickly pull against the grain of the growth - DOING IT YOURSELF WITH THIS KIT IS BETTER THAN ANY SALON WAX I HAVE EVER GOTTEN! The wax is very easy to spread, the consistency can be easily controlled by the temp to which you heat it, and the accompanying products are very mild and augment the use of the wax kit. Highly reccomend, will save you alot of MONEY and TIME (every bit helps, spend it on your family instead)!!!!
Easy and effective, no more muslin!

WOW! I have never waxed, ever, and I dove right in. The directions were easy and it was really simple to use. The wax took triple the time it says on the jar to melt (a matter of minutes), but that is the only complaint. A quality product that I will buy again!
2nd time at-home waxer

Yowch! Of course it's gonna hurt, but I knew that I just needed to get past the fear and did the yanking (with my right hand/arm) about parallel and in the opposite direction of the hair growth, while I pulled (with my left hand) the surrounding skin taut in the hair growth's direction. This is my 2nd attempt at waxing myself. The first time, I used a regular national brand that you can find in almost any store, and it was terrible. I found Gigi's to be so much better. The only downer is that I did have to tweeze a couple of the more obvious strays and left the inconspicuous ones well enough alone. I'm happy with the product. I would recommend this product to anyone that felt embarrassed about having to hold themselves in very questionable position before a professional (yet still a perfect stranger). I went to a professional once. While she had done a good job, I am still too much of a prude to be that naked and exposed to even a waxing professional. The good thing about that experience is that it allowed me to understand how I need to position myself and how taut is "pulling the skin taut." I definitely think this product is good, but I do also recommend 1st timers to go to a professional once or twice before doing this at home. ...Oh, one tip that I have is to be sure you put on a thick layer; just enough that it is opaque. Oh, don't wear tight pants afterwards, and (if possible) you might even forget about the underwear. Happy waxing!

Imagine candle wax permanently embedded in the hair on a sensitive body part and trying to remove it. If this wax hardens too much it won't come off in one piece, and the Wax Off lotion doesn't remove such large amounts. I pulled it off in tiny chunks, which felt like I was grabbing clumps of hair and just ripping it out. Then some of the hair began regrowing in just a few days. Undoubtedly I did something wrong, but the instructions were poor. Cloth strips seem like a much better idea to me.
It actually works!

I ordered this formula while deployed in Iraq. All it takes is a microwave and about 30 minutes to wax those unsightly pube's away. It's a hard wax so the pain is a lot more tolerable than the muslin strips.
Can't even melt it.

This product basically is a waste. Is there some sort of metal in the handle? I tried to put this in my microwave like it says you can, and my microwave started glowing red among that it was making a horrible buzzing noise! Then as I opened the door to it, a terrible burnt smell came out. I was very disappointed.

Excellent product if you like waxing. This really removes hair. Must heat up longer than recommended time, but this really works. Me - I just discovered I can't stand the pain of waxing and I am just giving up on waxing. But I recommend this for anyone who can take it.
Highly Effective Hair Removal Product

I am a licensed esthetician, so I am highly critical of hair removal products. Most are lacking something, some don't work at all. It's safe to say that over the years I've used everything, literally. (From laser hair removal, to creams, to waxing.) If you are able to do your own bikini waxes (some people ARE better off going to a professional) this is is a great product for home use. I was impressed that the wax DID pull out each and every hair. The wax was not messy. It was easy to use/apply. I actually recommended this kit to a friend who was using a different brand. Also, you aren't as red and bumpy as with traditional wax. Regrowth was finer. My skin was smoother after using this kit than it has ever been after ANY bikini wax. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I was. Will definitely purchase again!

I am really happy with this so far. I've used it once, and it works well. It's a little tricky to do it yourself in places that are hard to reach:) but otherwise no problem. I would recommend it.

Doesnt remove stubborn hairs for men. I put it on and when i pulled it off it only took out about 8 hairs at a time. Not the best for men!
neater than zipwax

This product is easier and neater to use than zipwax, not quite as "powerful" but neater and effective...wouldn't recommend "NADS" to anyone, a waste of time and money.

but this was a pretty good experience, compared to what I thought it'd be like! I can't imagine using muslin strips; this was too easy. And, of course, with a little practice, it will be even easier. The anaesthetic spray helped a lot, and I agree that the wax-off is probably not as effective as it could be. I'd recommend this for anyone, especially first time wax-at-homers.

This product is awesome. This is my second time purchasing this wax kit and I will be ordering it again and again. This product makes Bikini Waxing a breeze. I love it and now I have trained my husband to do it for me. He thinks the product is great too!
