I bought this on recommendation of a friend. It was a little messy at first, because I didn't heat the wax enough. I found that I had to OVERHEAT it, then let it cool down to the right consistency, and even then, I had little green strings of wax all over the place. The results, though, were amazing on my underarms. The bikini line had to be gone over a second time, but I am quite pleased with the results. One week out, and I am just now starting to get the finest of regrowth. The redness/puffiness was also gone within a few hours, instead of a couple of days like some waxing I've had done.
Best you could ever hope for!

I've been waxing for many years. The thought of a brazillian is daunting to say the least, but I purchased this kit after reading the reviews and hoping for the best. Still, I was skeptical. This is an amazing wax kit. If you use all the bottled products in the order they suggest it is virtually painless and no red dots-believe me, I know! If you have problems then you probably don't know how to wax because this stuff works great. I'll buy more and wish they would make the same thing for legs, but in a bigger size. Very happy with this stuff.
For first timers and people confused with hard wax removal

For the first time using a waxing method the hard wax...was kinda of a pain. what i didn't understand was how you removed the wax without the use of strips...this made it much more difficult and uncomfortable. When removing the wax you have to literally pull the wax itself off...this was torture and very messy. I also had to keep re-heating the wax because it would harden up very quickly. I would also suggest removing small areas of hair when you apply the wax and work from the outsides of your thigh and then inward...its less painful and don't wait till it hardens to pull it off..you'll remove more hair if the wax is still somewhat warm. Besides the waxing part being annoying and frustrating the lotions that came with the kit were great, and make sure you use them, they really help and smell great. If your a first timer i suggest getting it professionally done or use a wax kit with strips and wait till after you get your period. For someone like myself who's bikini area gets very irritated from shaving, waxing kept me almost bump free and it lasted for weeks as long as you do it right...so if you can commit yourself to a few hours in the bathroom..you'll be happy witht the results. good luck!

After I read all of the glowing reviews on this product, I thought it was definitely worth the price. That may be, since it is only 14.95, however, there are drawbacks to this kit. When it arrived, about half of the oil had spilled in the package. I followed the directions to the letter. It doesn't say how you are supposed to get a grip on the edge of the strip of wax once you are ready to remove it. I tugged at the edge to get a good enough grip to pull and the pain in that was way worse than pulling the rest. I felt it would be great if they had some helpful hints on methods of use. I also had a hard time trying to figure out whether the wax was hard enough to pull off. Maybe with more experiene, I will feel differently.

I had never waxed any part of my body until I used this product. Although I am not experienced in waxing at all, it was very easy to use and was very effective! I used it on my armpit, and it took almost all the hair with little pain. clean up was also very easy. the 4 special lotions come with the wax were awesome too! they have wounderful tropical scents! I don't know why I did not use this product earlier instead of everyday shaving!!!
I was skeptical, but not anymore

I am 40 years old and had a brazilian wax for the first time recently in a salon. I personally thought it was worse than a gyne. It was invasive and uncomfortable (lighted magnifying glass!). Since I enjoyed the results afterwards, I decided not to go to a salon again and chose to try this product. I read the reviews first and was a little skeptical, but went for it. When you think about it, there is no way to get around the pain of the whole concept. If you follow the directions to a tee (which are hard for my 40 year old eyes to read) it works great and smells good. I will definitely buy this product again and avoid going to the salon. It does works best if you have about 45 minutes to yourself, a lot of light and a full length mirror to sit in front of on the floor.

the first few times i think i was doing it wrong and got about 1 hair each waxing, but after i got the hang of it it got most of the hair from the specific area off, but still left a good amount that i had to get out the tweezers and start getting them one by one and took about an hour to do so, and i am not that slow, so it's not really a bad product imo but that great either, worth the money i would say

I agree with one reviewer that the formula has changed. It used to be much harder when it set and this new formula is much more sticky. It takes longer for the wax to dry and it is harder to pull off the wax because it never fully sets. I have tried many different products such as sugar based and wax based hair removers. This product is by far the best because it actually removes the hair~ all of it! A few tips~ be sure to use the Oil that comes in the kit- it helps to numb the pain. Also, the "slow growth" is great to use after every shower to extend the life of your bikini wax. You also may need to microwave the wax for a bit longer to get it to the right consistancy- but be sure to never put on the wax dripping hot or it will burn!

After reading most of the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive to try the product, but after weeks of putting it off. I tried it this evening, and although it did hurt a bit. All of the hair came off without much attempt. I am very happy with this product, and I will definitely continue to use it.

I would rate this product above average. This was the first time I have brazilian waxed and for my first experience it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The product was very easy to use and apply. No mess, no fuss, just a nice clean area that lasted for almost three weeks. How wonderful it was not to have to shave three times a week. I would highly recommend this product and have recommended it to my friends. Also, there is enough of the product for me to use at least two more times.

I used to love this product. However, i recently purchased 2 kits and the formula has changed. The new stuff makes a huge mess and the wax doesn't harden like the old formula. I am extremely disappointed and i really wish this is just a bad batch...
Permanent removal has to be the best, but in the meantime...

I used this product for months to rid myself of bumps and ingrown hair that followed shaving my bikini line. I got great results. My bikini line was left smooth for about 2 weeks before I noticed any growth. I also noticed less irritation when the hair started growing back. The only thing about waxing is that you have to let the hair grow back to a certain length before you can wax again. I would not recommend this product to those with a low tolerance for pain-it does hurt. It can be a slightly messy process, and you have to set aside about 30-45 minutes (if not an hour) to complete the process. I stopped using the product because although it was cheaper for me to do it at home, going to a salon was so much easier (no mess, 10 minutes max).
Better than anything I've used so far

I have tried other waxes. This one was painful without the oil-USE IT! When I remembered to use the oil, it worked great! Took all of the hair right outta there! I was even able to wax places I had never been able to wax before. On top of all of that, the hair didn't grow back as quickly as it had with other waxes. My hair grows back extremely fast. What normally lasts 4-5 days of silky smoothness, with this stuff lasts 2-3 weeks. For those of you with normal hair growth, this stuff should last pretty long. Although there isn't much in the jar and I will be reordering, there is enough for more than a few waxings. I will be using this product until I find something better. A bit messy, but nothing extreme. Nothing a piece of newspaper under my feet won't fix.

My experience with Brazilian waxes started, of course, in a salon. After a few sessions I decided I was ready to take the matter into my own hands, and for nearly a year was a loyal and devout user of the Surgi-Wax Brazilian kit. However, on a whim I decided to try the GiGi kit and see how it was.
I was ASTOUNDED. The wax was much gentler and workable than the Surgi-Wax, and didn't dry in three seconds like the Surgi-Wax did. The products smell heavenly, and the coordinating elements of the kit all help to condition the skin.
With some spots I discovered that the wax didn't get the hair on the first try - however (even despite the golden rule of never repeat-waxing), the wax was so gentle and the trauma to my skin had been so little that I could easily go over the same area two or three times with no problem.
This product conditions, moisturizes and pampers, and if you are experienced with waxing on your own, I more than recommend it.

I have done the salon and the home kits and no matter what they say they all have pain. You are pulling the hair out from the roots. However the oil that comes with this kit seemed to have made a huge difference for me. I had forgot to apply the oil in one spot and it hurt a little more than all of the other areas. Also I was very pleased that it removed all the hair so I didn't have to repeat an area. I am very pleased with the product. It did take much longer to heat the product up than the instructions said. Oh for the messy container once I was done I waited for the wax to harden and I broke it off and put back into the container and the lid closed with no problems. (something I have run across often)

I have always gone to a professional to get all my waxing done, however, I recently experienced a large increase in my bill due to rising overhead costs. As much as I didn't want to seek other ways to solve the waxing issue, I decided I must or else my pocket book would be empty.
After reading many comments about this particular product I decided to purchase. I have not been dissapointed at all. When all the reviews said it didn't hurt as much as others I was surprised to find it was less painful than other products I'd tried before. I must say this product is wonderful.
As everyone says, a bit messy, but who wouldn't expect that with hot wax. I found it to be very manageable and easy to clean up. Great product-very satisfied customer!!!

I just used this kit the other day and I can say it was worth it for the price you pay, especially if you're not totally sure this is something you would continue to do on your own vs. getting it done, like me...it's worth the $15 I think, whether you like it or not. I can tell you that it does what it says, without the strips! You have to be quick when pulling it off because it drys fast, so I don't know if I could be any quicker with the strips. I used this on my bikini area and it worked just like it said it would. From the root, no red bumps, silky smooth skin. The first application was painful, but when you see the results, you wanna finish it and it doesn't seem to hurt anymore. I love it. I'm looking for a warmer right now so that I can use it for my legs as well, the microwave application drys it out a little faster, which tends to become messy. But yah, I say it works and it's worth it if you're just wanting to try it out. If you like it and your patient, buy a warmer and quit spending money at the spa. Good luck.
