This is the most amazing hair removal product I've ever used! If you follow the instructions by applying the lotions and all, the wax takes off ALL of those coarse hairs. It even hurt less than other wax products I have used before! The only thing you should be aware of is: it does not remove fine/thin hairs--it is meant to only remove those thick dark coarse hairs. It really is an awesome product!!
Will repurchase!

Great stuff! I achieved salon-quality results with this kit and will definitely repurchase. The brazilian waxing was done in half an hour and i did not have to reheat it in the microwave. Not sure if it is the right way, but i overheat the wax till it turns runny, then start using it as soon as it cools to a thicker consistency. Also make sure the wax cools and solidifies considerably before pulling it off. You cannot imagine the pain of removing the wax from a botched attempt. Also, melted wax on the fingers is incredibly hard to remove.

i had my hubby use this product and it worked great. this was a first time waxing experience! even know it hurt a little, it: the results were totally worth it! my skin was irritated after the waxing but only for a few hours. only one thing it did not get all the hair (as it said) but it almost got all of it. so i will defintly be waxing the rest off soon with this same product
Great for ARMPITS too!

NOTE: I purchased a Gigi Brazilian kit including the warmer, not the microwave version. That made things much easier. No running to the kitchen half-naked to reheat the wax.
The wax worked very well on my bikini area so I waxed my armpits for the first time - a couple hours ago! I'm a dark haired lady and even if I shave daily, my armpits always have a dark shadow from the hair below the surface. Not any more!
I let the hair grow for about a week and a half, showered and blow dried the area before applying the wax - just to be sure there wasn't any perspiration. I covered the whole patch of armpit hair and ripped it off. I'm impressed! There were, maybe, 7 or 8 hairs that I had to tweeze out afterwards. It's only been a couple hours and the redness is already gone. My 'pits are a bit tender - but that's expected.
This wax is the best available. Yes - it does hurt, but not nearly as bad as other products I have tried. Also, for me, it is much easier without the wax strips.
A word of caution - do not leave the wax sit for too long. If it hardens, you will have to pick it off in little chunks - along with the hair that comes with it. That is by far, more painful than ripping off the strip of wax all at once.

I actually did this (the waxing) for my wife. I had misgivings, but now that I've done it once, she is willing to use this product (read: have me do it) the next time as well. She has never had a 'professional' waxing, and never will as long as she can use this.
I found that heating it in the wave takes a bit longer than the instructions said. I also found that the temperature range between too hot to apply and too cool to work is rather slim, so next time I will put the wax mug in a container of hot water after it is microwaved to extend its working time.
The only areas where it did not take well were those where I trimmed the hair too short (between 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch long is best, IMO) and those where the wax had cooled too much.
The included lotions are great, and plenty of wax is supplied for one waxing. The final Slo Gro lotion did an excellent job of calming the skin. The pain factor is there, for sure, but she is willing to do it again since the results are so good.

This stuff is amazing! It's not rocket science on how to use this stuff, and it works like a charm!
The only thing I have to say is that when I was heating it for the first time I had to nuke it for about 2 minutes. It says on the label to not heat it up for more than a minute, because it might be too hot to administer, but the temperature was fine it was just being able to break the top layer for the first.
Other than that I have had no problems with this stuff. You heat it up, wipe it on, wait for a few minutes and peel it off! I also didn't feel nearly as much zip to it as you would with a typical strip wax.

I like this Gigi wax system. It smells pretty good and removes the hair in the first try without sticking to your skin. I am not sure that the Slow Growth lotion works but it smells great. But don't misunderstand me, waxing hurts. Just take an aspirin or drink a glass of wine before you start. Play some soothing music and set aside 2 hours for the process.
good stuff

I read some reviews that were posted before i bought a product and the way people judge it by having pain using this wax. Now this particular wax and ANY other will cause pain. I mean it is absolutely understandable that this process is not easy, especially if you do it yourself. Other then that this is a good wax. Easy to use. Hair dont grow as fast as if you shave. So overall it is a good choice to make.
Well worth the price!

It is easy and effective- well worth the price. The only negative criticism is that the tub of wax does not last as long as the pre-wax and post-wax lotions. I, unfortunately, could only use it once but there was enough lotion for at least another waxing.

With me this product did not work at all, the wax wouldnt even stick to me so I could actually get on with the waxing. Bad product and the consistency of the product was horrible. Didnt work for me at all. But I do love other Gigi products.

I was really pleased with this stuff! I liked it more than the Naughty Nad's stuff I've used before. The wax heated easily in the microwave and held it's heat longer than other waxes I've used. The pre-hon and prep oil included in the kit really protected my skin (unlike Nad's which takes a layer of dermis off!). I had much less pain, redness, and irritation than usual after waxing. All the lotions are top-notch and smell really nice. If you've never done a home wax job before, it might be tricky (just because home waxing is tricky the first few times) but as an experienced waxer I found this kit easier to use and more effective than any other kit I've tried. It's worth buying and trying!

This is the best bikini waxing product I have ever used. I think you need to microwave it a bit longer than the instructions indicate but once the wax is soft, it is very easy to use. It is a fantastic product!!!!!!
DON'T USE if you're used to strips

Right now I am trying to recuperate after using this awful product on myself. As a person who has done self bikini waxing dozens and dozens of times, I strongly urge you not to use this product. Go out and get the regular wax with the strips. It is impossible to tell when this hard wax is ready to pull and I ended up having tons of breakage and lots of leftover spots I will have to tweeze or shave. I never have this with the regular kind. Also this hard wax is *incredibly* messy, it gets all over everything and DOES NOT COME OFF! I've tried the remover, I've tried oil, and right now I don't know what I am going to do to get this stuff off me. I am throwing this crappy wax it in the trash can.
It works

This is the only wax product I will use for the bikini area. The pre-ep oil takes the sting out of the removal and it cleans up nicely. I've had bruising and skin abrasions from other products but not this one. This saves me a great deal of money by not having to go to the salon. Great stuff

I've never had a brazilian wax done in a salon and thought I would try it myself at home instead. I had no idea that I would have so much difficulty inflicting pain upon myself. It works but I found myself holding one end of the wax strip for a looooonnnnnggggg time before I could bring myself to pull it. It does work but the more I did the slower I got 'cause it hurt! BUT I'm gonna try it again anyway! I seriously don't want to go to a salon and have someone else do it.
A great wax, with great extras included in the package

I've used several different waxes for underarm and bikini (not brazilian) waxing, and this was by far the best. The wax heats up quickly in the microwave, no waiting for little pots on the stove (and risking a fire if you overheat it!). It is very thick and a bit tricky to put on, but I think with practice it will get easier. It comes comes off cleanly in one big piece. The cleansers and other extras included with the kit really seem to improve the results. The wax adhered to the hair well without sticking to my skin, and my skin felt nice and soft afterwards. This will be my wax of choice from now on.

maybe it was just me, but i found this product to be really messy and hard to use. it also hurt like nothing else. i would spend $54 ANYDAY to let someone else wax me. at least they can be fast about it, and easier too.
i guess it'd be better if this wasn't my first time doing it myself.
Not the easiest to use but satisfactory results

My advice: remember to use the oil before you start waxing! It makes the whole process much much much easier. There was once I forgot to use the oil and it was a disaster.
It's not the easiet product to use. It takes me 3-4 times to really get used to how a at-home bikini wax works. Honestly, maybe I am still a novice, it's nowhere comparable to a salon job, but it's good enough for me. It does of a satisfactory amount of hair. It can't remove the short and stubby hair in my experience.
Heat it up enough (of course not too hot) so that it's spreadable. I find that it's easiest to use when it's slightly liquidy. Apply thinly over the area, just enough so that you can't see the hair. Wait until the wax is no longer tacky when you touch it, and then peel! If you use enough oil, it's very easy to peel at the edge. Bring a mirror in the bathroom so that you can work the harder-to-reach area.
Lastly it comes with a slow growth lotion which I find it eases itchiness and redness after waxing.
In general, I find this stuff works, but it takes a bit of practice, a bit of patience and lots and lots of time.
