No need for salon ever again!

I actually tried waxing the land from down under with a different GiGi wax before (a month after going to the salon), and that was the most horrible idea I have ever carried out. It ripped off some skin in some sensitive areas, and I was in pain for a week, and I thought "great. I have to spend $50 every month just go have this done?" So I did some research on Google, and this site popped up, and I found this specific wax to have the most highest ratings, so I tried it out. Fast shipping, by the way. It took me a total of two minutes and 15 seconds to get the wax to be usable though, but the process was surprisingly fast, painless and clean! I would suggest people to start the process from the lower parts though, just because you have to pick at the wax at the side and if there's hair that's partially stuck to the wax on that particular side, it'll be painful when you rip it off. And yes, you don't need a strip as long as you wait for the wax to cool off and be pliable. Also, apply thick layer of wax, or else it will rip/break off in pieces and you would have to spend a long time picking at the pieces. I love this product so much, thank God I don't have to go back to the salon ever again!
Good product, would buy again.

Have never had a professional wax or used a hard wax on my own before, so I was a bit nervous to try this. Overall I would say my experience was a good one. It took me a while to get the hang of how thick a coat of wax I should use. Also took me a while to find a happy medium of when to pull the strips off - kept pulling them off soon or ended up waiting too long, but eventually figured it out. The pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, so that was a plus. I worked with small areas and only had to pluck a few leftovers once I was done. I would definitely recommend lying a bunch of old towels or newspapers on the ground before using just in case you drip any on the floor. I cringe to think what would have happened if this wax had hit the floor or carpet. Overall a good product. I imagine it will continue to get easier with more experience. Definitely have enough to use 3 more times. First time user friendly.

I had never tried a waxing kit before, this kit was my first attempt. Never again will I buy a waxing kit, I guess I will be sticking to Shaving and Nair.
There are too many lotions that go along with this product and when I finally got to the waxing it removed all of about 5 hairs. I noticed a few reviews suggesting this product to be 'pain free'... as it would be expected, it hurts. Anyways, I don't recommend the product, go to a salon for a wax.
Loved it!

I loved this product! I was a little nervous at first because I have always gotten professional waxes, but haven't been able to afford them lately. I didn't know if it would actually work. It took the hair off very easily, and I had less irritation than when I get it done at the salon. It was easy to use, but it got a little messy. Not a big deal. I'm sure I'll get better at doing it the more I try. I took everyones advice to overheat the wax so it would last longer, and that was definitely smart. I only had to reheat it one time. I don't know if anyone has any pointers for doing a whole wax, not just a brazilian. Can't wait to try it again!
love it! going to purchase again now!

This stuff works just great. TIP: Use it with strips even though it's stripless wax.
This stuff is great, i did my own braz wax for the first time, and it was fast and fairly painless. I took an aleve a half hour before hand, i used numbing spray, (don't know if that helps or not) and just followed the directions. I put the stuff in the microwaves for a little over 30 seconds, but only the center was liquid, so i had to stir it. Just put it on in the direction of the hair, put a strip over it, patted it a little bit, pulled it off, and it was so no big deal what-so-ever. I love this stuff, I will never go to a salon again. I used half of the 8oz, so i figure i have one more to go. Only $7-10 a wax!! great deal.

I like this product because it is easy to use and with the least pain. Also it slows down hairs’ growth. It gives a silky touch without affecting the skin health.

Recently, I have developed an expensive habit of getting a brazilian bikini wax every 3-4 weeks. At $40 per wax, this was getting very expensive. I saw lots of good reviews on this site so decided to try the Gigi kit at home. It worked amazingly! My very first time using it went very smoothly (no put intended). As other people have said, I initially had to heat the wax longer, for about 1.5 minutes, and had to reheat the wax twice before I finished.
I am extremely pleased with the results. They are better than the results from the professionals from Brazil! When they waxed me, they had to pluck many leftover hairs and I had to do more plucking when I got home. With the Gigi kit, I missed very few hairs and had to do very minimal plucking. And, I had enough wax leftover to do at least two, probably three, more waxings. Discovering this kit is sure to save me hundreds of dollars over my lifetime!
I recommend this kit to anyone, but I would recommend going to a professional first for a few reasons:
1. You can get used to the pain that comes with waxing and decide if the results are worth it (they are!).
2. You can observe what the waxer does and mimic this when you use the kit at home.
3. Every time you wax, the hair grows back finer and finer. So, if you get a professional wax, then wait for the hair to grow back and then try it on your own, you will be working with thinner, less coarse hair and it will be easier to do a thorough job. I hope this helps everyone!

This is by far the worst wax product on the market. It is incredibly messy and does not harden properly. And once you manage to remove the wax, it leaves a sticky film that is quite uncomfortable. Do some research and experiment with other waxes in the market, just stay far away from gigi's.
Love it!

Best wax kit I've ever used, although it could get a little messy. I thought it was going to be a lot more painful, but it didn't even hurt. Most definitely will purchase again!!!

This product is aweful. I do waxing daily, and thought I'd try this out on my self before I used in on someone else. After burning the heck out myself and getting it all over the place, I thought maybe Im an idiot and dont know how to use it. So I waited for it to cool down and then it was a big gummy mess. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!!! But as for this web site. I will use it more often to find out info. to help me out..

I had really bad luck with this. It was hard to heat to the right temperature and it was extremely messy. It did remove hairs but not nearly enough to make it worth it. It takes a long time, the wax hardens and breaks if it sits for too long and when it is at a usable temperature, it's like stringy gum that gets everywhere.
However, on the plus side, even though I didn't like this particular product, this site does deliver it's products quickly and I would recommend ordering from this site.

possibly the wost beauty product I have ever purchased. First, I couldn't get the wax to heat to the correct temperature. It was either bubbling hot, too hot to put on skin, or too cold and unspreadable. When I finally WAS able to put it on. It turned basically into dried up gum. Instructions said to flick up the edge and quickly strip off. To say the least, that was impossible. It kept coming off in pieces. And when I was able to get it off in one strip, it removed 3 hairs at most. I would not even recommend this product to my worst enemy.

Before I bought this product I looked at the reviews to make sure it was a great product. Well I was wrong on my judgement. It was very painful because you have to try and get the piece of wax up in order to pull on the hard wax.(I think every one agrees that is more painfull to pull 1 or 2 hairs slowly than just a lot in one quik stroke) The hard wax breaks into pieces when you are pulling on it. In other words you wont be able to pull a whole strip off with out the wax breaking. The hard wax breaks as you are pulling and pieces go every where. Because the wax breaks so easily it leaves a lot of untouched hair. So after all the work their was so much hair left that I had to shave.
The wax off lotion didn't work very well, I had to keep on rubbing to try and get the wax off. My area is very irritated.
I tried diferent ways:
1. applying a thin layer just didn't work at all way too messy
2: a thick layer worked the best but still left so much hair behind that if I tried to pluck it. I would be an all day project, so I had to shave and it was still messy.
3: I also ried the wax hotter or colder to see which one will pick up the hair better, neither worked
That is my opinion I think that these reviews are not real and honest... Hope this helps every one. If you are going to buy wax buy it with muslin strips, it's way less messier. At least the wax stays on the strip and does not break into pieces

I waxed for the first time this morning. It was not nearly as painful as I thought it would be. I heated up the wax in the microwave and then used a candle warmer to keep the wax warm. It worked great. I will definately purchase this product again.

I truly believe you should have it professionally done. I found it impossible to do by myself. however, the product itself was good... you can use it for other easy to reach areas.
Good to have if you are in a jam.

I found this product to be ok.
I will use it again as a last resort, but I much prefer the kits with the meslin strips. I found the wax hard to grab onto.

I've used this product especially for what it's designed--the bikini area, and I have to say that it's great. What I loved most about it was the fact that you don't need to use wax remover strips, and even though it took a couple tries to get it right, after I got the hang of it it really was a breeze. I could do my bikini area in about 10 mins or less (if I'm in a hurry), and it's not as painful as having it waxed in a salon. I also heat the wax up until it's runny and wait for it to cool off and solify into more of a pasty substance, and have found it to work best that way, and you also have to make sure that the wax cools off completely before pulling it off or else it'll a) make a mess and b) be more painful to pull off that way. The little jar lasts forever too--I think I might have used up one jar in a year, waxing about every other month or so. I highly recommend this product for at-home waxing.
