The makers of Derma New sell the replacement pads in a kit that includes two pads and 75g/2.6oz Crystal resurfacing cream. . . . Works perfectly with the Gena Skin Spa Microdermabrasion System and the fit is VERY GOOD! Doesn't fall off! :) They can be purchased at Sally's for under $25. You can also go straight to their website and get 6 pads for $25 bucks . . . or search on this website for it. . .

I paid $30.00 for this at a Sally Beauty Supply store. How they can charge 200 is very shocking. All i can say is I paid too much.
gena and those pads that fall off!

i had the same problem with the pads falling off almost immediately. (i am a licensed esthetician) the product works wonderfully, provided the pads stay adhered. while no reason was offered for the failing adhesive, the company DID send a replacement pack for all mentioned in the email. the new ones work fine. perhaps the ones in the store (purchased at sally's for MUCH less than the listed price here..i think i got the entire system for 39.99 + tax) have been there for so long the adhesive qualities of the glue were reduced. at any rate, i'd buy replacements directly from the manufacturer in the future!

I purchased this product 1.5 years ago to get rid of my callouses. I paid about 50 dollars (sale) for the same kit at Sally's Beauty Supply. It was excellent, I'm a guy and use to have bad callouses, not any more. I wear sandals all the time now. If I paid about 50 dollars for this, how can they sale it for almost 200 dollars. Sick. The regular price a year ago was around 100... I'd check with Sallys to see if they have the same brand still.
me again -- another problem

I had written about the pads not sticking to the head a while back. Now, I am running into the problem with the actual machine. It seems to not hold the charge. It works while plugged in, but as soon as I unplug, the tool doesn't turn on. The charger cord is too short to be able to use the system while plugged in. I'm going to have to contact Gena again.
No refill pads

It works fine, but it is ridiculous that they are still selling this product knowing that you can't find refill pads anywhere. I don't think they are made any longer. I've e-mailed them asking where I can get them, I receive no response, obviously because there is no good response. I spent almost $200 on something that I could only use for three months because it ran out of pads!
I would love to buy from Folica again, but will not, because I do not believe this is ethical.
Shame, shame.
Amazing Results

I have been using this system for almost 2 years. If used as directed, the results are astonishing! Don't expect it to make a 60 year old look and feel like a 20 year old. Be realistic. It has made my face softer, cleaner and I believe is slowing the aging process. I need a good, healthy face system living out in the Arizona sun.
The pads don't stick!

Your skin feels nice and smooth, when the pad stays on. Otherwise, it slids off and your face is met with the plastic attachment. At first, only the foot pads stayed on... now, that doesn't even stick. I haven't been able to use the system on my face and body because the pads fall off within a few seconds of use.
Gena Microdrmabrasion

I purchased this kit after looking at many different models. The dermabrasion machine is well built and the ac/rechargable feature is great. The problem is the sponges! The adhesive used to attach the sponges to the machine does not stick. The sponges fall off of the pad within seconds of turning the machine on. I have not been able to use it at all. Very dissapointed- for the price, this was a very low-quality part. I can't even tell you how the microdermabrasion creams worked because the pads fell off before I could use it.

I have been using microdermabrasion for a few months now. I really like the Gena spa and I got it for a great price. My skin feels so soft and I like the hand held device. Seems to do a better job than using your fingers with the crystals. I am very happy with purchase.

I have had two units. They both stopped working within 30 days and I can't get any help. Maybe they will back up their product.
Seems great when it works.

The product works well...leaves my skin soft and smooth. I've been looking on-line for refill facial pads and have been unable to find any. For the price, I'd hate to think of the item as being disposable. If anyone knows where I can get refills, I would appreciate it. Someone mentioned Sally's, but refills are no longer available there. Please help!

I have been using this product for two years and I have had wonderful results! My skin looks so much better and smoother. I use it on my arms, legs, feet, face and hands. You can get this product at Sallys Beauty Supply so much cheaper about $50(two years ago)and can get the refills you need there also. I love the fact that you can recharge the hand held machine,I been recharging for all these two years and haven't had to buy new batteries. At least give it a try. Please remember about a two minute session is about all that is required on your face(I found this out the hard way!) I do this about every few weeks.
Beautiful skin in the first application

The first time I used my microdermabrasion kit, my skin looked visibly cleaner, brighter and healthier. Within the first month I had my mother, sister, and an aunt who lives 3k miles away from me, regularly continuing this regimen. My mothers age spots have diminshed, and blended into her natural skin color. My aunts heaving scarring from years of acne are slowly (but surely) resulting in even skin tone. And my skin, after years of living under the Florida sunshine (I've recently moved to Texas) is brighter than it has ever been before. Even my 15 year old sister has beautiful, glowing skin, and less apparent scarring from a serious case of chicken pox.
I suggest this product for anyone, it's really great. It also comes with sponges for the entire body, including rough areas like calluses, elbows and knees. However, I haven't used it often enough in these areas to write a sufficent review about overall body results.
One of the great features of the kit is the adapter, I suggest charging the hand surfacing tool for 45 mins before use. Gena Skin Spa also sells a dedicated facial Microdermabrasion kit, its cheaper, but it is battery operated and not as wise an investment.
The only downside is the cost of upkeep. Replacement sponges and the crystal creme are quite expensive. I also use the entire Skin Spa post-microdermabrasion skin care line (cleanser, mosturizer, etc) its a nice bonus, but not necessary. If you can't afford to buy the entire line, substitute your daily cleanser for something with a very mild formula-nothing with harsh exfoliants.
Gena vice I-Skin

I've used I-Skin and Gena and IMHO I prefer the Gena beacause the sponge head screws onto the handle so you don't get that maddening BUZZING that you do with the I-Skin sponge head which just snaps on. The Gena (at Sally's) is an excellent value at %69.99 considering similar products at ULTA go for approximately $140.00
