i have been using an FHI straightener and loved it! but it seems to be loosing its touch after much use. i just bought this ghd. it is AMAZING! so straight, heats up fast, great for curly looks, and it runs smoother over my hair than any iron i have ever used! (and i'm a hair stylist so i've used alot!) it is TOTALLY worth the money!!!!!

All around best flat iron I have ever purchased. Definitely worth the money - I bought mine 3 years ago, and it is still working like it did when it was brand new! Love it!

I have very, very curly hair. I didnt try to straighten my hair until I was in college. I used crappy straightners that would take hours with multiple girlfriends working on different sections of my hair. It was an all night ordeal. For a girlfriends wedding I tried the Chi and it worked fine but it took until the next day for my hair to to look how I wanted it. For Christmas this year my mom bought me the GHD and I absolutely adore it! I am sooo happy that I found this product! It takes me 1/2 hour to straighten my long and very curly hair all by myself, and it looks great that night! My hair is left smooth and shiny! For anyone who has curly hair out there and has had bad luck with straighteners, put your trust in the GHD, I promise you wont be dissapointed! I am so grateful for this product!!!!

This pink set is a steal, since you get a heat-resistant carrying case with separate sections for storing the iron body from the cord, and you also get a heat-proof mat for putting down your iron while styling and two adorable jumbo hair clips as freebies! And they're all PINK!
But in all honesty, this hot iron is simply amazing. I was looking for a round-bodied iron that could flip and curl as well as straighten, and I found it. With a little practice, I've been able to make unbelievable curls that stay (and I'm an opera singer -- these curls have lasted through four hours of hot stage lights!), not to mention stick-straight or flipped styles that last through heat and humidity until the next time I wash my hair. :)
The most amazing thing about this iron, though, is that after using it my hair actually looks healthier! I recently fried my hair with a cheap-o blow dryer, so the next day I used a deep-conditioning hair mask, let it air dry and then styled with this iron. My hair is smooth, soft and shiny again! I was unsure of the GHD straightener but after I put my hair to the test, I had no doubt that I absolutely loved this sweater. I went from the 2 inch turbo chi to this. The Chi that I was using was over five years old and has had it's share of straightening life. I was told that Chi wasn't the best brand anymore but the GHD had taken it's place in ratings. No doubt about it. I absolutely love it. It's worth the price! Even though the GHD is a 1' it doesn't take me anytime to do my hair. Just once pull through and it's straight as you like. It even curls the ends extremely well!! Two thumbs up!!

these straighteners are not woth there money at all thay dont straighten my hair at all. dont buy this product if your hair is really curly and thick.

I love this straightener.
It beats other so called "amazing" straighteners, such as chi, to the curb.
My hair stays straight for daysssssanddayssss! Eliminates frizz & flyaways! And that kink in the ends of your hair? GONE! Just perfection.
The STRAIGHTEST my hair has been, and ever will be without damage or chemicals!

This is the best flat iron yet. Yeah, use to have a chi but it doesn't compare to this. It leaves my hair looking supper straight, healthier, and softer. Love the color, case...everything. I've even curled my hair with it and it really does work great. It creates the kind of curls I've been trying to get since forever. I'm going to return the hot roller set i just bought because the ghd gets the job done. I would recommend this flat iron to anyone. It's a bit pricey...but believe me it's worth it.

I've had this flat iron for a little more than 3 months now, and it's SO amazing. It still seems brand new. It heats up in like 20 seconds, and even beeps when it gets hot. I love how it has an automatic turning off thing after 30 min, because I tend to forget to turn it off. The only problem I find with it is that it takes a little longer for me to straighten my very curly hair with this than it did with, for example, my old Sedu. But it's worth it. My hair stays extremely straight for days. I love it!
If you're willing to spend this much money on a flat iron, then definitely go for it!!
GREAT! But probably only worth it if money is no object OR you have difficult hair

Irons I have tried and compared in order: andis, Paul Mitchell, chi, babyliss, maxiglide, sedu, solia, fhi, and finally, ghi. I REALLY did not want to like this iron, but I have thick, wavy, difficult hair and this was the only iron that gave the best overall end result. I would give the FHI second place and would recommend it to someone with easy hair that doesn't want to spend this much money. FHI was a very good iron, and left my hair very shiny. So what finally sold me on the GHD? My right side has always been my worst side to style, and while the first 8 irons all straightened my hair, my right side always came out looking like a bunch of split ends, even after several passes. The GHD was the ONLY iron that left that side COMPLETELY smooth, and after only one pass. Also, my ends didn't come out looking dry with the GHD. Someday I would like to try the Metropolis with it's great warranty and the HAI based on price and reviews. For now, I will stick with the fuchsia GHD! :)

I have straight hair, but the ends of my hair tend to bend a little and since I have always had layers, it makes my hair look wavy. I have tried many hair straighteners, including CHI, but nothing could straighten out the bottom of my hair, and it always had a bend in it. Last summer I visited my aunt at England, and there I had a chance to use her ghd hair straightener. It worked wonders for my hair, and I knew I had to have one. But not having enough time to shop, and being really busy, I wasn't able to buy one there.
I asked my hair stylist here about ghd, and she said that she could order me one for $315. That seemed like a lot of money so I decided against buying it. Then I came across it at folica and ordered it right away. My straightener arrived at my door step within 72 hours of my placing the order, so that was very impressive. It actually got here when I was getting ready for a class, so I had a chance to try it right away. It worked wonderfully, and I had the bottom of my hair straightened within 5 minutes! I don't need to use it repeatedly on the same section of hair to straighten it, and I don't need to slide the hair through slowly. Just a fast slide once on little sections does the job. And it also leaves my hair really smooth and silky!
The straightener is a bit pricey, but it has two years of warranty on it and if you really care about your hair, it is a great investment.

okay, i am a teenager, and we alll know how picky we are and we alway have to look good, and getting ready in the morning for hours.. i straighten my hair every single day and i just recieven my new pink ghd today and omg i love love love love love it! its so amazing you dont have to keep going over it and over and over 1st wipe and pin straight... and whats so amazing i can also creat perfect curls with this for days when you want a more pretty hair do... you'll love it and its so pretty :D

this straightener works epically.. if ever such a word exists.. i works really well.. i used to use a target straightener that works pretty well for the 30 dollars that i would spend on it.. and i would compliments on my hair and how straight i could get it.. it did work well... but it had a few exceptions, like in any degree over 65 it would start curling under, and all the work it took to get it straight was useless.. and then if i laid on it wrong, it would start to crinkle, and if it was humid, well we all know the outcome, and when i woke up the next morning, it would take me another like 20 minutes to get back to perfection... it just wasn't worth the time. i just received my straightener yesterday (august 26 2008) and i couldnt be happier.. it is now the next morning, and my boyfriend thinks it feels just like i did it yesterday.. and it looks exactly the same.. i am thoroughly impressed.. for someone that is sooooo picky about their hair, and i am impressed. granted the smaller blades take a little longer, but the result is completely worth it. i would highly recommend this to anyone.. (you can get the same straightener brand new on ebay)... GO GET IT NOW..

when i saw it at the store I thought it was expensive but now that i compare it to your website when it doesnt even include shipping cost I think they are a bargain!

I bought this because I thought it would be better than any hair iron i ever used before...well, I used it for a week to test it out and it stinks! Dont waste your money if you have thick hair or hair longer than shoulder length. I was sad because I liked the pink!!! Oh well...

I love my GHD mk 4 hair straightner... I'm able to choose my hair syle in the moarnings without paying over $50.00 at a salon. I have had 5 other straightners and I found this one to be the best. woooo hooooo !!!!

I have very curly and thick hair. My first upgrade was a CHI and I loved it, but the GHD is a step beyond. My hair is the healhiest it has ever been (I color and hi-lite). It is shiny and feels awsome. I love my GHD and even ordered a back-up in case one day it breaks.

I have the HARDEST time getting a flat iron to keep my hair straight ALL day long. This is by far the best invention yet. Not only does it work like a pro straightening hair, BUT...
IT CURLS AMAZING!! SERIOUSLY!! I bought a T3 curling iron, and ended up returning THAT because this GHD works even better!?!? Its the best thing you could buy, an all in one 'styling iron' they call it. You need to get it and at least try it because your hair will never look the same!
