I think this straightener is a little over priced, but the results are fantastic. My cousin has this exact one, and I always have some excuse to straighten my hair because it's so good! My hair has not been this straight- ever. I have thin hair and not a lot of it either, but my hair is unmanigable if it's not straightened. It can be sort of straight- meaning straight, then it has a bump, straight, and then it bumps (or flips) out again. Then it can be slightly wavy, or, on a good day, it'll look like I just came from the beach. However, this lasts for about a day, and then my hair looks awful, especially if I brush it. I've tried the Sedu, Chi, Corioliss, and several drugstore brand straighteners. This works better than them all. It took less than 10 minutes for me to straighten all of my hair, and it looked-and felt- so much better using this straightener. I love the features that the GHD has- It heats up super-fast. (like, less than 20 seconds) It stays the same heat while you're straightening your hair- so you don't have to wait for it to "heat up" again. It'll turn off in 30 minutes if you don't use it- which is useful if you're in a rush, cause sometimes you forget to turn your straightener off. The plates on the straightener actually move, which is really cool. You don't have to pull hard on your hair this way. Actually, you really don't have to pull on your hair at all. You straighten your hair so much faster with this. Before- it would take me 30-40 minutes if I wanted my hair to look good. Compared to 10 minutes? That's amazing. The price CLEARLY didn't scare me off- and it shouldn't scare you either! Think about how much money you would spend on straighteners that would sort of work, or work for a bit, and sooner or later you'd have a new one. The GHD is definitely an investment, and it's WORTH investing. I have had the Chi, Sedu, Infrashine, but none compare to the Ghd! It keeps your hair looking healthy, frizz free, shiny and does a great job straightening it. Also, I love the case it's perfect for traveling. First I would like to say if you are hesitant about getting a GHD because of the cost do not hesitate!!! It is well worth your money. I have had two chi flat irons before, and they do not even compare to GHD. Not only has my GHD lasted longer, but it straightens my hair better and quicker than a chi. A GHD does not pull or damage my hair as much as my chi did. Overall I absolutely love my GHD!
