This product does EXACTLY what you want it to do! ... I wanted Straight, smooth, frizz-free, shiny hair.. and that's EXACTLY what I got. Unbelievable results. No joke.

I have the european version and since moving to the states wanted the correct voltage version. The speed at which my order was processed was incredible. My sister put the exact same order in a week later and is very pleased with hers also as we have the same fuzzy hair - it's now sleek and shiney!

I live close to the ocean and have really curly hair. The GHD is the first Straightener I have used that actually keeps your hair straight even with extrem weather. I will not change to any other product.

I bought this for my wife. She used my sisters GHD straighteners while we were home in the UK this past summer. She has even taken them in to let her hair dresser try them out. She thinks they are the best straighteners she has had and will highly recommend them to anyone.
They need to start selling them in Canada!

I bought GHD because I heard that it works the best on your hair. I'm happy with the results, but I think that my mother's Chi straightener, which is substantially less expensive, does an equally good job. So of the two, why spend more money?

OMG! GHD is def. the best thing I bought and trust me I've been everywhere and spend my money on everything. I have thick, curly, long hair and this product works wonders!!!! Humid or not, your hair will stay straight and shiny all day long. So instead of buying all those other products that might give you bad hair days, go ahead and spend money on this great product!!! You will not be disappointed, TRUST ME! It is worth every $$$$!

I have naturally wavy/curly long thick hair, but I just don't like how it looks on me, so I always wear it straight. I know how to straighten hair really well, which makes me very demanding when I go to hair salons to get it done, and I barely ever go because I think I do a better job at it. I am not a hairstylist, but when my friends want their hair straightened, they pay me to do it. 3 weeks ago, I somehow herniated a lumbar disk and because of the pain, I can't straighten my hair myself, so I've been going to the hairstylist for the past 3 weeks. It can make a hole on your pocket pretty rapidly if you have to spend $30+ every 4 days to get your hair straightened. So I decided I needed to buy a new straightening iron that would get the job done correctly in less time, so that I could do it myself without hurting for too long. Tne one I had, an ION straightener from Sally beauty supply, is not as great, so I only use it for touch-ups afrter blow drying my hair straight. I live in Puerto Rico where humidity is 100% most days, so I knew I needed the best flat iron out there. Well let me tell you, I am more than pleased with the results. It used to take me 1 hour to get my hair perfectly straight, and with the GHD iron, it only takes me half an hour and my hair looks 3 times better, and it lasts longer straight! This iron leaves my hair super straight, and very soft. Humidity hasn't been a problem at all. Folica was excellent, too, I received my iron much sooner than I expected! Trust me, I am crazy about straight hair, and this one gets the job done perfectly in record time!!
You have never tried a flat iron like this before!!!

The GHD is the best straightener ever! Out of 5 stars I would give it a 6! I absolutely love it. My mom would always tell me that there was no such thing as the perfect hair straightener but she was so wrong! This one is perfect. Out of all of the flat irons I have tried including Sedu, Conair, Hai, and many more this is definently the best! I really hope you take my advice and that is this.... If you are looking for a hair straightener buy this one!!! By the way I have the thickest.. waviest hair you could ever imagine. My Hai straightener would take me around 30 minutes to get it to an okay straightness. This one takes me around 5 minutes and leaves me looking like I have natuarally straight, shiny and very beautiful hair. BUY THIS TODAY!!! Trust me I know that many people have said great things about other straighteners and I believed them. I bought alot of them and they are nothing compared to this. It might say good things about other but I have tried them all but I must say this is the BEST!!!

I recently purchased a Solia flat iron based on the consumer reviews because I was interested in a CHI, but a lot of the reviewers claimed they stop working after a year or so. I am not happy with the Solia as it seemed to make my hair more frizzy after using it then it was before. Also did not stand up to humidity. I was told by hairdresser to make sure I purchased a solid ceramic flat iron. After she used her flat iron on my hair I couldn't believe the difference vs. the Solia. I decided to look at reviews of ghd flat irons and they all claimed it worked just like a professional iron. I decided to take the plunge of $190 ($180 after $10 off) as I was thinking about having my hair professionally straightened for $250+. Well, what a BIG difference vs. the Solia. My hair is perfectly straight and does not frizz during humid days. It is well worth the investment. I was a little reluctant about purchasing it because it is set temperature, there is no temperature dial, which I was used to on my other flat irons. But it's so much better that way because you don't have to fiddle with that control. Just turn it on, wait a few seconds for it flash that it's ready and start ironing. Works like a charm!!! I'd recommend it to anyone who has frizzy, curly, wavy, etc. hair. Don't waste your money, like I did, on other products!!!

They work amazing! Not only are they straight within half the time of other straighteners but they also make your hair nice and silky! The only thing I didn't like was that the delivery company left them in the hallway of my block of apartments! Not very secure!

THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST THING TO HIT THE MARKET FOR PEOPLE WITH CURLY FRIZZY HAIR. I USED TO HAVE THEM USED ON ME IN THE U.K AND NOW I CAN DO IT MYSELF HERE THEY MAKE YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT AND SILKY WHATEVER CONDITION ITS IN AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST WALKED OUT OF THE SALON.

All I can say is that everything I read about this product is absolutely true! While there ARE other straighteners that do work equally as well to straighten my hair, the GHD straightener makes my hair feel healthier and it LASTS--I don't need to 'touch up' if I want to keep the look the next day...great product and definitely worth the money!

I have recently moved from Australia where I owned a ghd straightner but the voltage is 240w compared with 120w here in North America so I didnt have enough power to heat it properly, so after 4 days without a ghd hair straightner I purchased another for use here in canada - so now I have two, one for visits home and another for canada - and i wouldnt have it any other way.
I have very fine bleached hair, and the ghd makes it shiner and REALLY does lock in moisture.
You wont be disappointed!

I went to UK,so thats how I heard bout this, I didnt think it would be amazing, but oh my god, this is every curly-haired girls dream. This straightener is a godsend. I dont care how much it cost,it is SOOOOO worth it. and Im not one of those people that know they have nice hair to begin with, so it wouldnt matter whether or not they had this straightner, I have most thickest, curliest, frizziest hair out there, but this this does wonders. I am SOOOOO happy I got it, and recommend spending the money.

My GHD was very good to straighten my hair at first, but as time went of the plates started chipping, and it started burning my hair really badly, causing it to brcome brittle and thin. So now im trying not to use it, trust me yuor better of.

This is my second pair of GHD's. I have moved from the UK to the States. I had a pair in the UK and they are the best irons we have used. We did try another model but it was not half as good.

When I started researching hair straighteners, I couldn't believe all the positive things that were being said about the GHD. It really seemed too good to be true. My hair is quite thick with a medium texture--neither coarse nor fine--with one big wave right around jaw level and a troublesome curly spot by my left ear. When it's humid or rainy, it turns into a nest of frizz. I used to spend quite a while every morning trying to straighten it, and I spent quite a bit of money trying out different products that would control the frizz and keep it sleek, but nothing worked well. I was never able to get the results that I wanted. The GHD has answered all my problems. My hair is 100 percent smooth and shiny (I never realized how nice my highlights are!), and it feels so soft, I can hardly believe it's the same head of hair that I've had all my life. And best of all, the humidity can't touch it! Now I don't regret the time I spend on my hair (which is less now, thanks to GHD) because I know it won't be undone by a little humidity, wind, or sweat. Other nice features are: It heats up quite fast (50-60 seconds) and the size is nice because it's not heavy and you can get close to your roots. It's hot enough (374 degrees, I believe) to straighten my hair even when it's still a little damp, and I don't have to be as careful with how I blow dry my hair. You don't know what it's like to have smooth, straight hair until you've tried the GHD. It's worth every cent you will spend!
