I first used this straightener when a hostel roommate in Australia shared it with me. My hair is extremely hard to manage and straighten, and I was amazed with the first use. It was almost 3 years after my travels in Australia when I bought one for myself, and I don't know how I managed without it. I've had it now for about 6 months. I can straighten my hair after a rough night sleep, or after having my hair tied up all day which leaves a deep kink. I would recommend this tool to any one with natually thick/wavy/curly hair who wants a quick and painless straightening job. It's amazing how great this tool is!

I'm from England where I first saw the GHD.. I'm so glad to be able to buy it here in the U.S. Its quick and easier than the chi and hotter, it doesn't damage the hair at all.. I would say its the best tool on the market until anyone brings out a better one. I'm so happy with my GHD. Hopefully everyone will have one here in the U.S. because know one know's about it LOL!!... Thats why I'm writing this...

I bought GHD Straightners about 6 years ago I am now on my 3rd pair but they are totally worth the money and make my hair so straight and shiney!! I would give them 10/10.

Just like most people who own this straightener, I used to live overseas in Australia. Everyone in the UK and Australia know this straightener is the only option. I always thought it was a bit too expensive in AU so I waited to come back to the US to buy one. I can perfectly straighten my hair in about 3 minutes. My old straightener used to take about 15 minutes and it was wavy again within an hour. The GHD straightening holds all day.. or even days. It doesn't pull any hairs out of your head either, the way my old one did. I definitely recommend this, its worth the $.

I have extremely curly thick hair and rarely straightened as it was a big production, my sister had a GHD in Europe and had recommened it as it saved time etc., so I was deligthed once they developed one to work on USA! It used to take me over an hour to straighten my hair now I've cut that time in less than "half" and have silky smooth hair! I would definately recommend it, the price is a little steep but once you break it down it's worth it :)

i really do love my GHD. i heard about the brand from a friend in the uk and was urged to try it.. WOW i'm glad i did! i have naturally curly hair and this straightener can tame it in 10min!! it is such a time saver!

GHD straightners are truly the best flat irons that I have come across. These straightners have been number one in the UK for years, and it is only a matter of time before they are number one in the US. It takes only a few minutes to straighten my hair, and I get salon looking results every time - sleek and soft. And what is more important.... MY HAIR STAYS STRAIGHT all day long. It may be expensive, but it is definitely worth it... especially if you straighten your hair most days. BUY IT... you won't regret it.

My hair dresser told me to get this. They sold it at my salon for $290!!! I looked on FOLICA and sure enough it was half the price!! It's a magic tool!! Get it!!!!! Also, I ordered my product yesterday morning and got it the next day!! FAST SHIPPING (2nd day air). Thanks FOLICA!!!!

This flat iron is the best I have ever bought. I bought this for myself and my teenage daughter has taken it over. She won't use any other flat iron after using this one so we take turns in the morning. This is a must have for a sleek straight look. I am buying another one as a gift for my daughter and my sister! Buy it and you will not be sorry!

i have frizzy / wavy hair and having used other straiteners, have found these to do the job quickly and it lasts, i used them on a friend who has thick frizzy orange hair and they did the job as well as her hairdresser who used a blow dryer - very highly reccomended

Initally I really like this product but after a month I can't stand that it does not have temperature setting. My hair is thin and sometimes it does a good job with curls and other times I have to go over and over and over my hair. Finally, I suggest you buy another product. This is a waste for me and I am already on a mission for a new flat iron.

I did research on the GHD vs. a CHI. I had a CHI for 5 years and it was fantastic. It finally died after I've dropped it so many times. I was concerned about all the comments I saw on Folica about the CHI breaking or not working after only a short while and was worried that Farouk had slacked off on their QC of the CHI. So I bought the GHD. This product bills itself as the Holly Grail of ceramic straighteners. It is a great iron. But for the price, I thought I would see a significant difference in it vs the CHI. I do not. It works great, but if you get the same results for half the price, why not buy the CHI. I'm keeping the GHD in case I have some kind of epiphany about the product that I have not seen after two weeks of use, but same yourself some cash and just get the CHI.

I expected this straightening iron to be better than any I had ever tried. Not the case. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed after all the outstanding reviews and the cost of it. After spending all the money on this one, I found that I did not like it nearly as much as my CHI iron which had shorted out after using it almost daily for 3 years. I turned around and bought another CHI for half the price of the GHD and am much happier with it than the GHD. The GHD is made just slightly smaller than the CHI and it gave my hair an odd bend that I didn't like which had to be due to the size of it since this doesn't happen with the CHI. It also made my hair full of static electricity, which shouldn't even be able to happen considering all the product I use! Overall, I now can not understand the rave reviews. I will stick by my MUCH less expensive CHI iron from now on.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get Sedu or GHD but after much consideration I decided to buy the GHD. The first time I used this product I thought there was really nothing special about it. It seems to work just like my $20 ceramic revlon hair iron. I even thought of returning it the 1st 3 days that I've used it. As it turned out, it takes a little bit of time before I saw how incredible my new GHD flat iron works. Maybe I was scared to burn and damage my hair in my first few uses because the iron gets really hot w/ no temp setting! But as I got the hang of it I started to realize that it's not even close to the ordinary flat irons I'd used before. This GHD hair tool really makes my hair smooth, straight and shiny. My only hope is that it will last long. For a little less than $200 it's not cheap but with the results I get it's all worth it.

I recently moved to Florida from the UK. Upon arrival i was distraught at the horror of my GHD's not working. First & most important job at the top of my list was to invest in an american model. I asked endless people and they had never heard of GHD?? WHAT!!! Anyway, finally fell upon this site n thank god. I am now awaiting the arrival of my 2nd pair of GHD's. Im sure i will be just as happy with this pair as i am with my UK pair. I will know be proud of my frizz free hair again
