This flat iron is the best I have ever bought. I bought this for myself and my teenage daughter has taken it over. She won't use any other flat iron after using this one so we take turns in the morning. This is a must have for a sleek straight look. I am buying another one as a gift for my daughter and my sister! Buy it and you will not be sorry!

i have frizzy / wavy hair and having used other straiteners, have found these to do the job quickly and it lasts, i used them on a friend who has thick frizzy orange hair and they did the job as well as her hairdresser who used a blow dryer - very highly reccomended

Initally I really like this product but after a month I can't stand that it does not have temperature setting. My hair is thin and sometimes it does a good job with curls and other times I have to go over and over and over my hair. Finally, I suggest you buy another product. This is a waste for me and I am already on a mission for a new flat iron.

I did research on the GHD vs. a CHI. I had a CHI for 5 years and it was fantastic. It finally died after I've dropped it so many times. I was concerned about all the comments I saw on Folica about the CHI breaking or not working after only a short while and was worried that Farouk had slacked off on their QC of the CHI. So I bought the GHD. This product bills itself as the Holly Grail of ceramic straighteners. It is a great iron. But for the price, I thought I would see a significant difference in it vs the CHI. I do not. It works great, but if you get the same results for half the price, why not buy the CHI. I'm keeping the GHD in case I have some kind of epiphany about the product that I have not seen after two weeks of use, but same yourself some cash and just get the CHI.

I expected this straightening iron to be better than any I had ever tried. Not the case. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed after all the outstanding reviews and the cost of it. After spending all the money on this one, I found that I did not like it nearly as much as my CHI iron which had shorted out after using it almost daily for 3 years. I turned around and bought another CHI for half the price of the GHD and am much happier with it than the GHD. The GHD is made just slightly smaller than the CHI and it gave my hair an odd bend that I didn't like which had to be due to the size of it since this doesn't happen with the CHI. It also made my hair full of static electricity, which shouldn't even be able to happen considering all the product I use! Overall, I now can not understand the rave reviews. I will stick by my MUCH less expensive CHI iron from now on.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get Sedu or GHD but after much consideration I decided to buy the GHD. The first time I used this product I thought there was really nothing special about it. It seems to work just like my $20 ceramic revlon hair iron. I even thought of returning it the 1st 3 days that I've used it. As it turned out, it takes a little bit of time before I saw how incredible my new GHD flat iron works. Maybe I was scared to burn and damage my hair in my first few uses because the iron gets really hot w/ no temp setting! But as I got the hang of it I started to realize that it's not even close to the ordinary flat irons I'd used before. This GHD hair tool really makes my hair smooth, straight and shiny. My only hope is that it will last long. For a little less than $200 it's not cheap but with the results I get it's all worth it.

I recently moved to Florida from the UK. Upon arrival i was distraught at the horror of my GHD's not working. First & most important job at the top of my list was to invest in an american model. I asked endless people and they had never heard of GHD?? WHAT!!! Anyway, finally fell upon this site n thank god. I am now awaiting the arrival of my 2nd pair of GHD's. Im sure i will be just as happy with this pair as i am with my UK pair. I will know be proud of my frizz free hair again

I have the european version and since moving to the states wanted the correct voltage version. The speed at which my order was processed was incredible. My sister put the exact same order in a week later and is very pleased with hers also as we have the same fuzzy hair - it's now sleek and shiney!

I live close to the ocean and have really curly hair. The GHD is the first Straightener I have used that actually keeps your hair straight even with extrem weather. I will not change to any other product.

I bought this for my wife. She used my sisters GHD straighteners while we were home in the UK this past summer. She has even taken them in to let her hair dresser try them out. She thinks they are the best straighteners she has had and will highly recommend them to anyone.
They need to start selling them in Canada!

I bought GHD because I heard that it works the best on your hair. I'm happy with the results, but I think that my mother's Chi straightener, which is substantially less expensive, does an equally good job. So of the two, why spend more money?

OMG! GHD is def. the best thing I bought and trust me I've been everywhere and spend my money on everything. I have thick, curly, long hair and this product works wonders!!!! Humid or not, your hair will stay straight and shiny all day long. So instead of buying all those other products that might give you bad hair days, go ahead and spend money on this great product!!! You will not be disappointed, TRUST ME! It is worth every $$$$!

I have naturally wavy/curly long thick hair, but I just don't like how it looks on me, so I always wear it straight. I know how to straighten hair really well, which makes me very demanding when I go to hair salons to get it done, and I barely ever go because I think I do a better job at it. I am not a hairstylist, but when my friends want their hair straightened, they pay me to do it. 3 weeks ago, I somehow herniated a lumbar disk and because of the pain, I can't straighten my hair myself, so I've been going to the hairstylist for the past 3 weeks. It can make a hole on your pocket pretty rapidly if you have to spend $30+ every 4 days to get your hair straightened. So I decided I needed to buy a new straightening iron that would get the job done correctly in less time, so that I could do it myself without hurting for too long. Tne one I had, an ION straightener from Sally beauty supply, is not as great, so I only use it for touch-ups afrter blow drying my hair straight. I live in Puerto Rico where humidity is 100% most days, so I knew I needed the best flat iron out there. Well let me tell you, I am more than pleased with the results. It used to take me 1 hour to get my hair perfectly straight, and with the GHD iron, it only takes me half an hour and my hair looks 3 times better, and it lasts longer straight! This iron leaves my hair super straight, and very soft. Humidity hasn't been a problem at all. Folica was excellent, too, I received my iron much sooner than I expected! Trust me, I am crazy about straight hair, and this one gets the job done perfectly in record time!!
You have never tried a flat iron like this before!!!

The GHD is the best straightener ever! Out of 5 stars I would give it a 6! I absolutely love it. My mom would always tell me that there was no such thing as the perfect hair straightener but she was so wrong! This one is perfect. Out of all of the flat irons I have tried including Sedu, Conair, Hai, and many more this is definently the best! I really hope you take my advice and that is this.... If you are looking for a hair straightener buy this one!!! By the way I have the thickest.. waviest hair you could ever imagine. My Hai straightener would take me around 30 minutes to get it to an okay straightness. This one takes me around 5 minutes and leaves me looking like I have natuarally straight, shiny and very beautiful hair. BUY THIS TODAY!!! Trust me I know that many people have said great things about other straighteners and I believed them. I bought alot of them and they are nothing compared to this. It might say good things about other but I have tried them all but I must say this is the BEST!!!

I recently purchased a Solia flat iron based on the consumer reviews because I was interested in a CHI, but a lot of the reviewers claimed they stop working after a year or so. I am not happy with the Solia as it seemed to make my hair more frizzy after using it then it was before. Also did not stand up to humidity. I was told by hairdresser to make sure I purchased a solid ceramic flat iron. After she used her flat iron on my hair I couldn't believe the difference vs. the Solia. I decided to look at reviews of ghd flat irons and they all claimed it worked just like a professional iron. I decided to take the plunge of $190 ($180 after $10 off) as I was thinking about having my hair professionally straightened for $250+. Well, what a BIG difference vs. the Solia. My hair is perfectly straight and does not frizz during humid days. It is well worth the investment. I was a little reluctant about purchasing it because it is set temperature, there is no temperature dial, which I was used to on my other flat irons. But it's so much better that way because you don't have to fiddle with that control. Just turn it on, wait a few seconds for it flash that it's ready and start ironing. Works like a charm!!! I'd recommend it to anyone who has frizzy, curly, wavy, etc. hair. Don't waste your money, like I did, on other products!!!
