This is an excellent product. Say goodbye to humidity frizz and hours of styling. I have shoulder length hair and can now rough dry it and straighten it in less than 10 minutes. Absolutely brilliant!

i am a hairdresser for 22 yrs. i have been searching for the advanced in technology for 2007. the ghd does not straighten as well as implied. it takes even longer because the temp only goes to 374 which supposedly is all hair needs to be at to straighten let alone stay healthly.yes my hair is shinier and if i use it to make natural curls on my cliets it is awesome, but to be straight and stay straight there's better out there. i hope this helps...you can always try it for yourself.

As a customer from the UK who travels a lot to the USA I struggled with my own GHD's as they were not compatible with your electricity supply and therefore spoiling my husband's and my vacation (because if I cannot straighten my hair I am miserable). Having purchased my new american GHD's I am thrilled and they also work here in the UK.
Many thanks for speedy service and good packaging (nothing damaged including the box).

when i first straighten my hair its pin straight and smooth and i LOVE it but then after like 20 min it starts to wave and frizz again. in other words it doesnt hold the "straight" in my curly hair.

Well all i can say is this is the kind of flat iron that is for girls with hair that is naturally straight. I'm a black women with that curly thick hair and my sister has that nappy hair. The only thing that was okay was the fact that it came with a instructionale DVD, the sad thing is the curls and waves and volume stuff worked better than the straight style. Also it gets complicated because if you move your the iron a little then you hair is not going to be straight but more wavy looking. Save your money for $195.00 i thought this was gonna be the best it's a wast.Your better off gettiing a solia 1 inch. It's like a GHD but better and Hotter.

I bought one of these in the UK and it was great. I fried my T3 trying to use it with the UK current. Bad idea. Anyway, I bought this one here and it was supposed to come with a lot of goodies including a cd with info about the product. The cd was not included when I got it. The flat iron did not have a temp control and since I didn't have the cd, I had no idea whether there was something I could do about it. The booklet that come with it only had info about other products, so I'm assuming the product info was on the cd.
So, if you are overseas, it seems to be a great flatiorn. In the US it may be too hot. Maybe it has something to do with the wiring? Maybe some info was in the cd, maybe not, who knows?

I have very curly hair that is unruly and horrible to deal with. GHD straighteners allow me to have beautiful straight hair that does not frizz after and hour. I have just moved to Canada from Scotland and one of the first things I did was hunt down a pair that would work over here. Lifesavers, I wouldn't use any other kind of ceramic straigheners.

Do not hesitate to buy this product, it's awesome. My cousin came to visit with this in her luggage. After one use of her's I just had to have my own. You get salon hair every time, REALLY!

This flat iron is al it says it is and more! the curls turn out amazingly perfect as if you had ised a courling iron. It strightens hair and keeps it straight all day. The number of styles you can create with this iron is phenomenal!
GHD flat iron is VERY GOOD!

A bought this flat iron 1 month ago, till now it is working really very well. I tried with CHI and SEDU before buying GHD, GHD is absolutely the best, at least for my kind of hair (thin, not curly, only waivy and frizzy if I don't stylish it). Also, I have to say that FOLICA has one of the best services that I receive in a lot of time, excellent company!.

I was not impressed by this flat iron. I own a CHI, and I bought the GHD thinking that it would be better. This was not the case, and I am returning it.

This is the best flat iron I've ever used! I have very fine hair but it's curly and fuzzy. I always struggle with obtaining a sleek, strait, smooth look and can never let my hair dry naturally. For the last couple years I've used the HAI flat iron and really liked it (except they don't seem to last long). After reading the ghd reviews I decided to try something new (the price was about the same). I am thrilled! The results are awesome and they last! I can pretty much sleep on my hair and with a slight touch up it looks great! Where as before by mid day I would ususlly be fighting with a wave or two... Don't worry about not having control of the temp. My fine hair looks healthy and shiny and moves beautifully! I also decided to try the sample products that came with my purchase (I'm really picky about my hair products). They are excellent and I suspect adding to the overall effectivness. This product is as good as it gets and totally worth the investment!

I just purchased my first GHD Hair Straightener. I was spending over hundreds of dollars on flat irons until I received this one. It heats up in seconds, you only have to iron on piece (not going over it again & again), leaves your hair so shiney, frizzless and healthy looking. Other irons I have had damaged my hair, this one is the opposite. I havent received so many compliments of my hair in so long. I never loved my hair so much until now. Its better to spend the extra money on the GHD rather than wasting money on other irons that dont last or work as good. Everyone will love this iron!!!!!! ***** Stars

I have been using this flat iron for a few weeks now after blowing out my Chi which I thought was very good...until I used the GHD. It heats up in moments, it is light, and it makes my hair look great without burning or singe.

This is the first GHD product I've purchased. I've been very pleased with the straightener. I've had 3 Chi's before this, and I honestly say that this one is holding up better than any others I've had in the past. The free sample products from GHD were also very great. When my current sample supply runs out, I'm going to buy more. Love the product!!!! Worth the extra money. Better than the CHI products I've had in the past.

The price is very steep, it did give me sticker shock!!! However, I have naturally wavy hair and NOTHING gets my hair as straight as this iron. It heats up fast and straightens my hair with only one run through very quickly. No other expensive flat iron has done this before. I'm very pleased with this product!!

I have really thick curly hair and every hair straightener I have used not only takes a very long time to straighten my hair but gives my hair a frizzy/straight look. With the GHD, I can straighten my hair in 10 min (without the frizzy/straight look). Not only am I able to straighten it, I can also put beautiful curls in it. I have eliminated two of my hot irons. I have to admit GHD is very spendy but it saves me a lot of time and the results are always beautiful. Because of the time I save on straightening or styling my hair is well worth the money.
