Honestly, to say that I love this flat iron would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! I am a female who LOVES hair and I love doing hair (not professionally but a lot of my family members) and I would recommend this flat iron to ALL women who love flat irons. I have used a CHI before and it is amazing, but the GHD is ALSO a wonderful product! I've also used hot tools (which works fantastic for me) and Conair (it's good but it pulls) and the GHD by far is the best....I can create curls that make it easier to maintain and they don't fall out until I wash them out...I am a true GHD believer and I hope that if given the chance a women takes it and buys her very own, it is WORTH the price!
P.S. We have to maintain ALL our hair care products!!! Yes things are bound to break, but they can last a VERY long time if you take great care of them!!!

The first time I saw this product I was in a salon. The guy that did my hair was great! I thought there was no way my hair could come out like that if I did it myself. Because thats always the way it was. UNTIL NOW!!!! My hair really does come out just as good when it was done by a pro. I used to go 2x a week to straighten my hair. Now, I rarely get my hair done unless its for highlights.
I've tried so many straighteners, and this one takes the cake.

Absolutly loved this straightner! My old cheap straightner took about 5 minutes to heat up and like a half an hour to straighten it. But the GHD heats up in like 10 seconds and it takes me like 5 minutes to straighten my hair and it does it 10x better! Totally worth the money! :)

this flat iron is the most amazing thing ive ever bought. it makes my hair straight & shiney. i love it. your hair will silky also after using this. it heats up in no time and keeps your hair from frizzing out in humidity, AND IT CURLS TOO!

I am 13 and have started high school this year,
and OMG when I used all my birthday money from like
2 years to buy the straightener
I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY I was tossing up between a silver bullet
or a GHD but when I realised my aunty had one and she used it on my hair definately made the decision easier
I go to school everyday with beautiful hair
that is NOT heat damaged and I don't always straighten it
The GHD allows me to curl and create waves as well
I'm never going back to my old hair straightener (WAHL Cutek) My other one was good but You might as well say I used a 20 dollar hair straightener compared to the GHD
I reccomend to all, As for the FOLICA service
I cannot comment as I only bought mine from a store
but judging from the other reviews It sounds like pretty good postage & quality

I recently just bought the GHD model from a local salon here. My hair is natural curly and frizzy but when I use this iron it makes it look smooth and soft! If you are going to buy a good flat iron do not buy a cheap one, they are a waste of money and is dry heat. You need something with steamed heat..and this GHD is awesome!

I have bought many flat irons in the past ranging from 20-50 dollars. I was so fed up with the amount of time it took me to make my curly hair straight using those irons and it was still frizzy. I decided to go all out and buy the GHB iron. A hairstylist recommended it to me. I LOVE IT!!! It takes about 10 mintues to do all of my hair where it took like 40 mintues to do it with the other irons and it looks 100% better using the GHB. I would recommend this flat iron to everyone! Thanks! :)

Omg! I absolutely love this flat iron! It was my first expensive iron. It REALLY gets your hair straight. Even my tips, which were extremely fried, were flat and smooth. All of my hair is very smooth! My hair has a lot of movement. It will cause your hair to be flat, but if you tease your hair, you'll be fine. It's a lot better than the store brand flat irons, and I recommend it to anyone!

OKay I can only say this because i actually have this GHD model! AND I can honestly tell you its okay! What is 10 times better than this iron is the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Straigtening Iron! The babyliss straightens the hair soooooo much better, and if you have extra kinky hair or curly hair then you would definatley want the babyliss because it heats up to 450 degrees, i only heat mine up to 375 degrees my hair is wavy and frizzy but not that bad, but i can honestly say that the babyliss works much better than the GHD, I hasnt been out that long the model that i have and its only a matter of time before word of mouth gets out and people start discovering it... so if you cant decide which iron to get and if you have thick wavy or curly hair then trust me get the babyliss here is the link

I loved this product, however for the amount of money I paid in shipping I received my GHD late. I thought the price was good, but shipping was horrible. I love this GHD, I had a CHI but the GHD is way better because of temp., heat up time and it's tiny size. Recommend over the CHI.

It bothers me that people have so many negitve things to say about a wonderful flat iron. If you take care of it properly & seriously learn how to use it correctly you might not be so disappointed! One would think it doesnt take a Scientist to flat iron hair but there IS a Science to doing it correctly! Call it what you want-but do it right & you might not have so much to say!

I've tried all the big names. I had a Chi for 3 years, then moved to London and had to get a UK straightener. I went for GHD because of its reputation and I'm very glad I did. I've been using it for almost 4 years and it's still works perfectly, just as good as my Chi did. I have very fine hair with loads of frizz that has been highlighted and color treated. This tames it without causing any noticable damage. I recently tried buying a Sedu iron to keep at my parent's place in the States for when I visit and returned it promptly. Compared to Chi and GHD the quality and workmanship was cheap and shoddy looking. The plates didn't lay flat against each other making it impossible to get a decent straightening. I would definitely recommend the GHD as the best of these three top seling brands.

I had these GHDs in the UK & when I moved to the US I just had to buy a pair - GHDs are THE best hair straighteners in town!

I decided to buy the GHD after reading the reviews. I had the Sedu (that I absolutely loved by the way) which after just about a year was dying on me - The power would flicker on an off and I think there was some bad wiring in the plug. Anyway... thank goodness because the GHD is AWESOME!! My hair has never been shinier. It gets just as hot as my Sedu and my hair looks better than ever. I have naturally crazy curly frizzy hair and I always had to crank up the Sedu to almost the highest setting to get it smooth. This thing is incredible. I only use the Phyto Defrisant styling product before drying and then the GHD and life is good.
IF I COULD HAVE 0 STARS I WOULD!

I considered ordering the GHD last April but decided to get the Sedu instead because I didn't want to spend the money. I was very happy with the Sedu. It didn't seem to cause as many split ends as the Chi I owned before it. But, when the Sedu broke after 8 months I decided to get the GHD. I would have never guessed that it could have been so much better. My hair is perfectly straight and I haven't had any problems with split ends plus it has a natural bounce and shine that wasn't there with the Sedu or the Chi.

Pic 1 is it all brushed out and combed straight up! Pic 2 is it right after I flatironed for the first time ever -- it took like 30 mins maybe from start to finish.
I have all natural african american 4a/4b hair basically kinky coils with small pencil sized curls. It is thick, it is a lot of hair and it has no relaxers no chemicals of any kind. So I really put my GHD to the test.
I was scared at first of completely burning my hair so I went through it way way to fast and it still straightened it amazingly well, silky soft and so straight. But the second time I did it I really took my time and VOILA! There was the swing the bounce and the "straight look".
Once that was over -- I washed n' conditioned and curls were back. This product gets an A+. I only took away a star for the price. It is a lot of $$$ for the average girl. But it worked. So I guess it is money well spent.
DO NOT BUY THE GHD STRAIGHTENER

I Bought the GHD around 6 months ago... When i first tried it, was OK... from there on, It burnt my ends and would do heaps of damage to my hair. After 6 months it broke I was happy coz i got my money back... so I bought a PAUL BROWN Straightener for half the GHD price and was 100x better than the GHD. I do recommend the PAUL BROWN. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY THE GHD

I bought this flat iron in May and it broke 6 months later, just like the CHI. It costs more than the CHI but isn't at all better.
