all you need to do is buy a power adapter. i bought one a few years ago when i traveled to europe and the adapter came with a few different plugs for different countries.
i don't know what canada's outlets are like, but an adapter should be fine.
sorry i couldnt be more helpful. | ghd over corioliss
I'm so confused. I'm trying to buy a straightener (obviously), but i've heard that corioliss is made by ghd. i tried the corioliss once and it seemed to work fine. I'm trying to compare the products to make the right decision. Anybody have info on both for me? Question posted by kae Thu Jun 22 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Simon at Corioliss ltd

Corioliss R better than GHD, NO Corioliss are NOT made by GHD, we use much newer technology than GHD " The new religon for Hair" im sure that would have been correct back when Jesus was walking about !!! | | Reply by Helen, ghd Customer Service

corioliss is a horrible straightener!!I used it once and it completely dried my hair. I don't know if the company is the same but I don't recommend the corioliss. You might as well go for a Sedu or Solia. | Iron to buy?

by using any hot tool on your hair, you are taking out the hairs natural moisture, no matter what the manufacturer says! the natural moisture in your hair is what keeps it shiny, and keeps its style, along with the cuticles of your hair. you always need to use products, or your hair will dry and split. never forget that. use a cream when blowdrying, then a mix of serum and hairspray in your palms rubbed through the section. finish off with serum and hairspray.

I have also asked this question to a friend how said she uses her straightener to curl her hair. I have not tried this yet, however the description she gave me involved the hair being wraped around the iron, and pulled through as if you were curling ribbon. | | Reply by Alex, CA stylist

This iron creates beautiful curls. The trick is, start at the root or midshaft, then twist the iron so the top is now upside down, basically 180 degrees. Then, just slowly glide down and when you reach the ends, the hair will be curled, with no creasing or crimping. This is what makes this iron so different from all the others, the curls look like a curling iron made them. And if you want larger curls, just twist the same way, then twist the opposite way and back and forth, you can create gorgeous waves and thick curls. | why?
why does it say under the warning " do not use in bathroom?" did they mean not in bathtub? and how new is GHD flat iron? Question posted by Kristy Thu Jan 12 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Xanthia

In the UK, there aren't any power outlets in the bathroom (except for shaver sockets) due mostly to EU regulations. The bathrooms are very small and moist, and generally lack countertops. You can't even have a real light switch in the bathroom (we have silly pull cords). The voltage used in the UK is higher and more unstable. So they literally mean don't use it in the bathroom.
GHD's have been popular in the UK for few years now. | breaks easily?
i've done lots of research before buying my ghd. my question is whether its true that the immediate cord coming out of the flat iron really breaks so easily? i've noticed many people seem to have this problem. and it has been suggested to me that i shouldn't roll it up after use,or when stored. i should rather just leave the cord freely. any suggestions? No matter which type or brand of straightener you get, the cord is likely to break. That doesn't mean it WILL break, just that it could. It mainly occurs in swivel cord straighteners(even though you'd think the cord would 'swivel' to the right position as NOT to break. I had bought a pair of GHS/HS+ straighteners, the cord in the first pair came loose (got them replaced) and it happened again in the second pair, actually causing the plug socket and the straighteners to 'explode'. The best thing to do is leave the cord straight when in storage, or fold it up. Never wrap it around the straighteners.
Hope that helps | Plug/adaptor

Max temp on the uk version is 210 celsius, so I would have thought that the us version would be the same. |
