Product Rating: 5 Favorite Product so far
Reviewer: Al from PA  Thu Apr 24 2008

I tried this product on a whim and it was the best hair investment I could have made! Make sure you follow the directions on the back (just apply a little bit to damp-not wet-hair). This product cut my straightening time in half!

Product Rating: 4 I like it!
Reviewer: AAMU Girl from Detroit, MI  Wed Mar 26 2008

I have been using this for the past 2 or three years on and off and it is the only one that gets my hair soft and straight. I'm an African-American woman with naturally curly hair. I wash my hair and leave my conditioner in for like an hour or longer. Then I put about a quarter size amount (I have a lot of hair) and blow dry and I'm good to go. Works well!

Product Rating: 3 Don't Use Too Much
Reviewer: Kim   Fri Mar 07 2008

I have wavy hair that is curlier on the bottom layers, this stuff is okay, it doesn't work miracles, and I find that if I use more that just a tiny dab, my hair feels really coated and weighed down.

Product Rating: 5 Excellent product

Great for taming curly frizzy hair.

Product Rating: 1 A waste of money
Reviewer: ac   Thu Jan 24 2008

I have bought tons of different products to straighten my hair and thought this would work. It just makes your hair feel thicker and coarser. Did not straighten it.
I had high hopes since it is cheap but unfortunately does not work.

Product Rating: 2 Okay
Reviewer: Jen   Wed Jan 09 2008

I used it for awhile because I kept hearing such great things about Frizz Ease. I have really coarse frizzy hair and this worked okay when I wanted to wear curls, but when i tried straightening it made my hair feel greasy. Better to use if you want to wear your hair au natural.

Product Rating: 4 pretty good
Reviewer: Sarah   Sat Aug 25 2007

I have really thick curly hair and i wanted a product that will loosen my curls up a bit. it did just that. i noticed though the first time i tried it, you really have to put it on evenly or parts of your hair will be curly and other parts would be more wavy. it didn't really do anything much for my frizzes but you just have to put something else in for that.

Product Rating: 5 Hair straightening
Reviewer: Beatriz Rodriguez from Miami FL  Wed Sep 06 2006

My hair was totally unmanageable until I tried the products of John Frieda. I have very fine curly hair: the worst kind. The relaxing cream (as well as the relaxing shampoo and gel)have given my hair more body and shine, and it has done away with the excess curls and "frizzies." It's like a miracle, after trying every product in the market, FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT WORKS!!!

Product Rating: 5 Great for a tired perm you want straight
Reviewer: Darlene from Glendora, CA  Mon Aug 28 2006

Without a perm, my asian hair is fine and flat. My perm has grown out half way and I don't want another perm, since my hair damages easily.

This product is great- it nourishes and protects my hair while I blowdry it straight. It's not sticky or heavy on my fine hair (unexpected from a cream). My hair feels soft and manageable after use.

I'm extremely disappointed that John Frieda has discontinued the manufacturing of this wonderful product. Buy it while it's still around!

For those of you who have thick hair, it won't work. You'll have to buy the extra strength formula in the purple bottle (which is still on the market).

Product Rating: 3 not for THICK hair
Reviewer: Dawn from Long Island  Wed Jun 28 2006

It didn't really work for me. My hair is very thick and all though it blew out nicely it really didn't resist the humidity or flyaways. I think it is better suited for thin hair. If your hair is thick I recommend got2be sosmooth.
I should mention that frizz ease left no residue which many people find desirable. But remember if your hair is thick it probably won't help you.

Product Rating: 4 Getting many compliments!
Reviewer: Robyn from New York  Fri Jun 16 2006

I found this product after a month of rain and perpetual frizzy hair. I noticed a great improvement in keeping away the frizzies, and actually received numerous compliments since using it. My hair is naturally wavy, and I prefer to have it straight but full, and Wind Down does it. I also use Frizz Ease's gel to hold the style.

I saw a number of reviewers say that this product didn't work. If they have something better, I'd love to know what it is. Until then, I've been recommending Wind Down to everyone.

Product Rating: 1 Nothing happened
Reviewer: Tisi   Sun May 28 2006

I put it in my hair and it did nothing for my hair. My hair ended up the same way as though I did not use the product.

Product Rating: 3 It was just okay!
Reviewer: Arielle from Texas  Sun May 28 2006

This product worked better than a lot of others I've tried.About an hour or so when I was finished with my hair,It was frizzy all over again.I would recommened this before a lot of other products that I have tried, however it is not good in humidity.

Product Rating: 3 this is ok
Reviewer: yahida   Mon Apr 24 2006

you know.. the back of the container says that you have to blow dry your hair... but i think that it works better if you just let your hair air dry...at least for thin hair!
It does help the frizz. i like it.

Product Rating: 2 Frizz-Ease
Reviewer: Holly   Thu Apr 20 2006

This product did not work well for me. I have fairly thick and wavy hair and I bought this product. I was very disappointed because it just made my hair feel oily and greasy. It also weighed my hair down. Overall I would give it a 3 out of 10.

Product Rating: 4 Beats anything I've been using lately!!!
Reviewer: Mary from New Jersey  Sun Nov 27 2005

I have extremely thick hair!! This product doesn't improve the straightness, but it definately keeps it straighter longer. The smell is not amazing, but the product defanetly works. It keeps your hair soft and silky through out the day. I recommend not putting any near the root area, because i have noticed it makes it greasy!! overall, this is a product worth buying!!!

Product Rating: 3 OK... there's better.
Reviewer: CC from Los Angeles  Thu Aug 11 2005

Frizz Ease works pretty well if you want to straighten your hair, but if you have curly hair that you want to go curly for the day, it makes it look greasy and limp. Also, the smell's not that great.

Product Rating: 5 It's Excellent for Natural Curly Hair
Reviewer: Odessa Fraser from Nova Scotia  Tue Jun 28 2005

I've been using this product for the past 3-4 years and absolutely love it. Whenever I see someone with natural curly hair, I tell them about the product. It makes my hair feel extrememly soft, it helps define my curls, and it doesn't leave my hair feeling like a caked it with grease. Everyone tells me how beautiful my curly hair is and how much like a spiral perm it looks and I always tell them its the Frizz-Ease Hair Creme I use.

Product Rating: 2 It's ok
Reviewer: L.T. from New York City  Fri Jun 17 2005

This product really won't do all that much on natural kinky/corse African American hair. Unless you use super hot heat and pull the bejesus out of the hair.
