Flip, twist, straighten and curl with this technologically advanced 1 3/4" ionic flat iron. Model 405RFI.

Dry, damaged and frizzy hair has a positive ionic charge. In order to balance that you need a negative ion ceramic plate to neutralize the charge in the hair and thus create smoother, shinier and calmer hair.

Caution:

Avoid any direct skin contact with the ceramic plates while they are hot. Never leave iron on when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Never place your iron in water. If iron falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water. Do not set the iron on delicate cabinet surfaces or near any flammable materials. Set the iron on a damp towel or place in an iron holder between uses. New wrap cord around the ceramic plates until the entire iron has cooled down.

 

Styling:

1. Begin by taking a small section of hair and running a comb through it to separate the strands.

2. Place the combed section of hair between the ceramic plates starting as close to the scalp as possible. Close the iron with a light grip.

3. Pull the iron away from the scalp and let the hair glide through the plates. You should not feel the iron gripping or pulling on your hair.

4. Repeat this process throughout the rest of your hair.

5. In addition to straightening your hair, your FHI styling iron can be used to create many different styles. You may experiment by twisting your wrist to flip, twist, and curls your hair.

Temperature: A steady red light means the iron is in the process of heating up. A blinking red light means that the iron has reached the desired temperature. No red light (with the switch in the on position) means that the iron is in the process of decreasing the temperature to a lower setting.

Great straightener for thick long hair!

I previously bought the Sedu and before that I had a Babyliss. I loved my Babyliss, but one day the light just went out after having it for 3-4 years. I wanted to try something else so I bought a sedu because of all the great reviews. It was lightweight and easy to maneuver, but the quality was low and after the 3rd time using it, it just stopped heating up. I replaced it with an FHI and have been really satisfied with the results. I have thick long hair and the width of it is perfect and it gets hot enough to make my hair really smooth. I have had it for a year and a half and it seems like it is getting hotter, not cooler, the longer I have it. A great straightener for the price. I would highly recommend!

So silky smooth

I have very wavy African American hair. I usually use a Hai. However my daughter who is a cosmotologist flat ironed my hair with this iron and I could tell a difference. It left a silkier feel and really nice shine that I did not get the the Hai. However, this iron left this curling iron smell to my hair. Which my daughter says many women noticed when they had their hair flat iron. It goes away after a day...but I did notice that. But the shine and feel are awaresome.

I have had this straightener for over 6 years and still works great!!!! I was thinking about getting a new straightener just because it's so old but after reading other reviews about how long other peoples irons have lasted makes me reconsider getting a new one. I would recommend this iron to anyone that has think wavy hair!

The platform is better

Like most people I did alot of research when buying this flat iron. I ended up buying three different FHI flat irons. I bought the one with the variable heat and I wasnt impressed so I returned it and got the technique with one heating range that one was good and alot better than the variable heat BUT the best FHI that they have out there is the platform FHI flat iron. This is the upgrade to the technique. I am black with a relaxer and because the platform is so good I have decided to grow out my relaxer. I hope this helps someone!!! Get the PLATFORM FHI

I am a hairdresser, so I bought 1 for home and 1 for work. Usually my flat irons stop working, but not this one. Great iron for the price and leaves my hair feeling smooth and silky. Clients love it too!!
