FHI Heat has set the benchmark once again with their Platform Series styling irons. FHI Platform Series has made available their patented Nano Fuzeion Technology. Through this technology, negative ions are now suspended directly over the plates, maximizing the ionic effect resulting in even shinier and healthier hair. The FHI Platform Series with nano titanium oxide and nano silver technology also helps to remove any harmful chemicals as well as kill bacteria. These ceramic heaters with a maximum temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit and ultra rapid heat up time has consistent heat across the entire surface of the plates allowing damp to dry styling, ultra rapid heat recovery and improved reliability. All Platform Series irons allow temperature adjustments from 140 degrees to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, which greatly increases their versatility as a hair styling tool. Features:

I spent $200 on this flat iron thinking, the more money it cost, the better it is for your hair. Was I wrong. I am so disappointed in the iron that I keep going back to my old one. It's too late to return it for a different brand. I just thought if would work better on my hair and it doesn't. If you have thick hair, don't bother buying this iron. Of course, this iron worked well when I first bought it. It straightened my hair very well and left it shiny and smooth. I was wary about buying it because i read reviews about how it would break very easily. I thought to myself, oh i'll take care of it well. Well, it broke after i dropped it once. luckily, i bought it a couple of weeks before i broke it so i could get a full refund from the store. If you do end up buying it you MUST take extra precautions In general I like the FHI flat iron but there are some serious design issues that you should consider when buying one. The most significant thing (that I've noticed) is the very bad swivel cord design. This is an extremely cheap design and the cord *will* eventually fall out of the swivel. How much use you'll get out of the iron before that point seems to vary. I would prefer to see the iron built without the swivel "feature" so that the cord attachment is more durable (untangling or untwisting a cord periodically is a small price to pay for a more reliable iron). The other design issue is that the ceramic heater plates are held into the iron with very cheap plastic clips. If the iron is dropped or used at high temperature for extended periods of time (e.g. straighteners) then the clips will crack and the heater plates will come loose. This could have been fixed with the use of metal clips but even their runway ($400!!) iron still uses the cheap plastic clip design. A warranty would usually cover such failures but FHI's warranty specifies (other than purchasing directly from them at very high prices) "OTHER SELECT AUTHORIZED BEAUTY PRODUCTS RESELLER" which is *very* ambiguous and seems to give them a good reason not to honor the warranty when you purchase from online retailers (perhaps they aren't in the loop with regard to the 21st century and online shopping?). I have used these straightners, and I must say they are one of the best. I am transitioning from relaxed to natural and this flat iron gets my hair very straight. It leaves my hair soft and it feels healthy. It will not leave your hair dry like some of the other straightners that I have used. I simply love this flat iron. Like any other tool that is new you have to experiment until you get it right. It glides through my hair easily. I have used sexy straight balm with goldwell highlight protectant and it stopped the breakage. I also use It's a 10 miracle hair mask once a week which will cut down on drying your hair out. Just remember what you take out must be put back. I have used all kinds of flat irons and the FHI platform seems to be the best by far. Read all 31 customer reviews ...
