I don't understand all the hype

It's ok but nothing fantastic. I don't really get it. I am a huge product junkie and have tried so many protectants and this one does't seem to do anything noticeable for my hair. I got it a gift from someone who swears by it so I'm glad b/c I would never purchase it myself. There are many better products to try (Kerastasse Oleo Relax Spray is my favorite to use before flat iron)

I decided to purchase this product because I've been getting a lot of split ends lately from using my Sedu flat iron everyday. I read all the great reviews and decided to try it and hope I can find my miracle product too. This bottle is very small, but keep in mind, you only use a nickle size amount every time. But this product makes my hair look greasy and weighs it down. I have somewhat long, fine, straight hair that is damaged and this product did not help restore the moisture in my hair, as it claims. I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now, and I have seen no improvement. My ends are still split, my hair is still dry. I don't recommend this product for people with fine hair, especially if you don't have a lot of it, like me. I disagree with some of the reviews here saying that there is not such thing as too much hot sauce. Well, yes there is. But, it depends on the type of hair you have. BEWARE, this product contains Alcohol for those of you who have hair that is easily damaged.
On the plus side, it doesn't leave residue and it doesnt have any odor. The "magic" of this product is the crystalized jojoba. I've actually used a bottle of pure jojoba for my hair and that works pretty good.
I was impressed!

This product was recommended to me by my hair dresser. I am hooked. I have a lot of hair, but it is fine, so it helps with the dry feeling you can get from over styling. I feel like my hair has a fighting chance.

I don't know what some people think but I know for me a black woman who has NO CHEMICAL PROCESS in her hair this product works. READ the directions and it will do exactly what it says. I live in HOTlanta so I know about heat and this works great on my hair. It's about the only thing that has kept my hair straight and frizz free. I like the other customers wish the bottle was bigger....... A little does go along way though....

I bought this product based on the reviews that I read. I am amazed at the results. If this product protects my hair in addition to the results that I have achieved, after only one use, I will be a life long user. Usually, anything that I put in my hair that has any moisture at all, causes it to frizz. I have NEVER acheived the SHINEY, SILKY look tht I have today. Who cares if it is natural . . . it works.
False advertisement

This product CLAIMS to be without silicone (a natural product that leaves hair smooth but over time causes damage and dries the folicle) but check out the ingredients:: dimethicone, amodadimethicone! FYI shoppers- If it ends with CONE it is a synthetic of silicone. So your not even getting the natural ingredient, your getting a man made plastic based type of "silicone."
Buyer beware false advertisement is not what u want in a product supplier, plus the bottle is tiny- get ready to break out your microscope
FHI Hot Sauce: Tiny bottle, decent product

The marketing gambit is clever: with a bottle that looks like Louisiana hot sauce bottle, the online images are captivating. Customer reviews are good, and I also found that this product works well as a heat protectant and moisturizer. But the bottle is *miniscule*. I should have paid attention to the volume, but I was quite taken aback to open the box when it arrived and to have to hunt to find the bottle. Not much product for the price. Caveat emptor!
Great stuff!

My hair looks so much healthier since using this product. I have tried so many products to try to make it look less dry and this works better than anything else I've tried.

This product works great. It is a pricey for the size, but it's a definite must for flat iron users. Buy this product! You won't regret it.

I came across this product by accident while on the Folica website. After reading the reviews, I thought why not try it. Well I ordered it, and I will tell you this, this is the best product I have ever used on my hair. My hair used to always look fried, even though I would use good products on my hair. This stuff leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking even after blow drying. Granted it may be a little pricey, but you know what, it works, so to me it is worth it. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I agree with the others who rate this product excellent. I've used 10 or more expensive flat iron protection products. FHI Hot Sauce is the best so far. My hair is colored & abused frequently with heat. This product actually does make it silky & healthy looking & lasts till the next washing. Next time I will buy the big bottle. I hope they never stop making it. Thanks to all who have rated it highly, otherwise I never would have tried it.

The bottle was too small for the price and the quaility of the product for the price. I won't be buying anymore.

This product works wonders with the FHI flat iron. The first couple of times I used it, I could tell that it made my hair a little weighed down so I make sure my hair is very wet or I make sure to use very little; however it doesn't leave a build-up in your hair.
Leaves no residue

Unlike other products I have tried (and expensive ones), this product does not leave any residue. In fact, after my hair is dry, I can't even tell that I have used it. A little bit goes a long way. All I need is a drop for my entire head. I use it on all of my hair, not just the ends, because I am trying to grow it out much longer than it is currently, and I want to protect it. It must be working because I use a flat-iron, and my hair is not dry, and it shines, even without the flat-iron.
Great protection for ends

I usually don't use any products on my hair except shampoo and conditioner. My ends have been splitting lately so I decided to try this product. It's really great. I use it after towel drying my hair but before blow drying it and then again before using my curling iron. It really gave a nice definition to my curls and my ends look great. I highly recommend this product.

This hot sauce is absolutely ASTOUNDING! I love how it is packaged like a real bottle of hot sauce, yet on top of that it performs beautifully. I find a great difference in using a plain heat protectant and this one. This hot sauce left my hair soft, shiny, hydrated, healthy, and basically looking its best. I love this product and I will definetly continue using it. It is very much worth the 7 dollars per ounce. It is absolutely amazing.
Awful Stuff! And very drying ..

Look at the ingredients:
cetearyl alcohol, amodimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Dimethicone!
I haven't put all that crap in my hair i 20 years!
I know better!
Alcohol????
For what?
Yuck!
"Hot Sauce" gave my hair a lot of body, and it's bouncy, BUT my once silky bangs feel crunchy, .. like straw.
I'm staying with CHI Silk Infusion.
