I have the variable temp control--- I rarely use it, I bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister. She loves it! It does such a great job. My hair is naturally curly--- you never have guessed this does as good a job as the salon (she uses a chi). Just be caerful leaving it on your bathroom counter--- I have a few brown marks on my marble counter from leaving it on all day by accident--- no auto shutoff on these.

I bought this for my Niece and she Loves it. The Ones she had owned previously were so cheaply made this is the best quality.

i have medium length, VERY poofy, curly hair. I have spanish, indonesian, arabic, and indian heritage, so i think i got the worst of all those worlds, lol. The FHI is a great hair straightener! It makes my hair pin straight, and looking thin! I reccomend it to everyone, all my friends always wanna borrow it! lol

I love this flat iron? It is the only one I have found that really does the job. Bought one at a salon March 2007 and at Christmas time bought 1 for my 2 daughters (they would fight over mine in the morning) for half the price via Folica than what I had paid at the salon.

This iron turned out to be just what I was looking for. My hair is always soft and bouncy and I now get great compliments from friends and family. I love the fact that I get to create any kind of style (curly or straight) with this one iron. My hair never looks dry. Thank you folica!

I first got a CHI, which broke on me, so I thought I would try this FHI. It didn't straighten my hair very quickly, and it PULLED my hair like crazy! I thought I didn't let it heat up enough, so I waited and when I went on vacation, it just died. I do not recommend this to anyone...go back to CHI!!
It doesn't get hot enough.

This straightener was disappointing. I have waivy, somewhat frizzy hair, and this straightener didn't get hot enough to do the job. I had to go through my hair many times, and even then, my hair didn't get very straight. This product may work better for people with fine hair. The straightener I've had since 2001 works much better. I may have gotten a defective product, but if that's the case, that's even worse. I would recommend buying a straightener that has different temperature settings. This one doesn't have them. I was actually disgusted when I started using this product and discovered its deficiencies.

I have been doing hair for 17 years and the FHI flat iron is truly the best and Authentic ceramic flat iron around.
The irons plates actually deepen in color when it's warm....
This is how you can tell if the flat irons plates are truly
ceramic, I highly recommend this flat iron to all stylist and there clients. Thank you FHI!

so i have a conair !! and i was over my friends house and i wasnt ready when i went over her house so i had to my hair there & she has this iron and i only need 140' and i lvoe it i ran it through my hair it was straight al ready i didnt have to go over it !!!i love it i want one NO NO!~!! i NEED one!!!

I love this flat iron...My soon to be sister in law showed me how awesome her CHI worked on my spiral curly hair so I decided that I wanted to buy one too. Just as I was about to go out and buy one for about $150, I came across the PHI. The name kind of through me off a bit, but I thought...hey if I can spend $50 on a PHI and it work just a as good, its worth a try. I will say that its been the best investment...if any at all. I've had my PHI for about 2 years now and within that time she's had to replace her CHI twice. 3 flat irons in 2 years seems like a rip off to me. What do you think? I LOVE IT and I believe that anyone that is looking for a GREAT FLAT IRON and at a GREAT PRICE...GO WITH FHI!!

I bought this for my daughter a year ago from a salon that said it's what their stylists use. Well after a year of listening to complaints about pulling on her hair and not being hot enough and it takes so long (she has medium length basically straight (she says wavy) and borrowing her mom's straightener (who doesn't live with us) I am going out to get another iron.

Hands down this is the best flat iron I have ever used on my hair. I recently just upgraded from this iron to their RUNWAY which is their top of the line iron and I have never had hair that is more silky or smooth (and I usually have really poufy and thick hair) And I just saw it in UsWeekly the other day and A LOT of the top celebrity stylists now use FHI Heat like Jennifer Anniston's stylist Chris McMillan and Angelina Jolie's hairstylist as well. So if its good enough for them its good enough for me!! Highly RECOMMEND, I absolutely LOVE my flat iron!!!!!!

I Recently bought the FHI. At first I was not that impressed with the product but the more i use it the better i feel about the purchase. I am an African American woman with out a relaxer and I always have people who think I do. The only thing I wish this flat iron had was a dial so that I can control the temperature. Other than that I say FHI IS GREAT!

I absolutely love this iron. I have fine hair so I was concerned about it not having a temperature setting, but this iron does wonders for my hair. It leaves it feeling super silky but not thin.

Here is a little story for you. I have short very THIN hair so I invested in some extensions. Which by the way change everything about my look and my pocket!! I loved them. Then I received this as a x-mas present. I was very excited. I used it for about a year and half while using a damage control so really did not notice any issue. Then I went to Italy. I purchased an adapter for 120V which is what was supposed to be used with this product. WELL guess what there is no warning label on the box that states do not use out of the country. The iron got so hot that it burned my entire head of hair. NOW you would think why didnt you notice this.. Well it did not smoke or smell like burned hair which would be the ultimate warning sign. It wasnt until after i was finished that i placed it on the BATHROOM counter when i noticed it had melted ITSELF and the counter. I could go on to tell you the amount of money i have lost and the amount of times i want to look into the mirror and just cry. If you buy this product be very careful. I bought this from my salon that i have been going to for 7 years and their reply to me was .. cut your hair off. YEP can you believe that. GOOD LUCK

This FHI flat iron is great. I get the same results as my hair stylist does. I am African-American with thick, wavy, frizzy hair. My hair has changed a great deal since I was in high school and has been a bit difficult to manage, leaving me frustrated and less than sure about my appearance. Once I used the FHI iron, the clouds parted, heaven shined, and the angels sang once again. My hair is straight and does not revert back to its original state. I called my sister and told her my results, and now she is in the process of getting one also. The key to using this iron is to make sure you have a heat protectant spray to achieve the results you are looking for.

WOW. the FHI is amazing. i love to straighten my hair but my old one was really bad and killed my hair and my best friend had the CHI, so i used it once in a while and it was pretty good. but then my aunt told me that there was something else, the FHI. so i said okay why not try it and see if its good. so my aunt got it for me and i love it soooo much!! it does give off a little smell from the heat but it does NOT go off on your hair which is good! i would definately recommend this product to all girls who love their hair straight. <33

I just upgraded from a FHI Iron because my friend did my hair for a wedding with her chi, AMAZING and it held up in the heat so let me just say it was nothing short of a miracle
