Flip, twist, straighten and curl with this technologically advanced 1" ionic flat iron. Model 205RFI
Dry, damaged and frizzy hair has positive ionic charges. In order to balance that you need negative ion ceramic plate to neutralize the charge in the hair and thus create smoother, shinier and calmer hair. Product Features:
Avoid any direct skin contact with the ceramic plates while they are hot. Never leave iron on when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Never place your iron in water. If iron falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water. Do not set the iron on delicate cabinet surfaces or near any flammable materials. Set the iron on a damp towel or place in an iron holder between uses. New wrap cord around the ceramic plates until the entire iron has cooled down. Styling:
In addition to straightening your hair, your FHI styling iron can be used to create many different hair styles. You may experiment by twisting your wrist to flip, twist, and curls your hair. Product Reviews and Rating: FHI Ceramic Technique Flat Iron 1" is rated

I have naturally curly, sometimes frizzy, color-treated hair, and because there's no temperature setting onn this one, the excessive heat that it comes to (I think someone here said 410 degrees. No flat iron should have a "carte blanche" heat setting!! I'm sure FHI, when designing this flat iron without a temp. setting (for whatever reason I'll never hazard to guess why) they of course made it heat up ultra hot so it would straighten a moose's mane. Problem is, if your hair is more of a fragile state like mine is, you're cooked!...literally ! My hair is so broken off...too much damage was done before I figured what was going on...FHI appliances are probably fine...but only those with a heat setting. Whatever in heaven made them decide to make a flat iron with no way to alternate the heat settings, I don't know...but I'll bet there are a lot of damaged heads of hair out there...they ought to pull this one off the market without delay!!! I have actually burned my hands when going to grab the section that I just ironed through! It's a hazard...are you listening FHI??? I have the new FHI technique (G2) in pink. I love this straightener! The ionic technology really helps to straighten my hair without frying it... I can also straighten my thick hair in record time. One word of advice though: do not buy this straightener if you are looking for a curling device, because it gets too hot (410 degrees) to curl and burns your hands. Otherwise, it is an excellent straightener, especially for the price. It has very similar features to its higher end counterparts (such as the platform), just without temperature control. Personally, I don't mind that it doesn't have temp control, because it hasn't fried my hair thus far. I am 25 and have been flattening my hair since I was 14. I have had 4 different flat irons. The FHI was the worst ceramic iron that I have owned so far. I have very thick, coarse, wavy hair. It's possible that this product isn't good for my hair type. I don't think it got hot enough and it didn't maintain its heat. I had to stop half way through flattening and allow it to reheat. I recomend the CHI over this one. I bought this after having a CHI for several years to do my daughter's hair-she is African American and Caucasian & has fine, very curly hair that is relaxed. The FHI didn't work well-where the CHI left it smooth, the FHI left it puffy. The CHI straightened well, the FHI not so much. I think it would work fine in Caucasian hair such as mine, but if you need more power, look elsewhere. I just bought mine today (it's purple!!). I have long wavy hair and it straightened it in 5 minutes flat. My sister, who has think, coarse, frizzy, curly hair -- 15 minutes. It's amazing, and it hasn't snagged a single hair. My only gripe is that I know I don't need the full 410 degrees to straighten my hair -- I wish I could adjust the temperature to minimize the damage :( Read all 65 customer reviews ...
