I went to the salon and the stylist used the FHI on my hair. I have relaxed hair but I am transitioning to natural. I was without a relaxer for 5 months so my roots were very thick. She used a bit of pressing creme and my results were simply amazing. Here is the before and after. I would totally recommend this product.
This flat iron is the bomb!

I am an African-American woman so I must say that it is imperative that I have a good flat iron. I have had my FHI flat iron for about a year and a half and had nothing but great results. I have tried various other irons over the years and NONE of them got my hair as straight as these. I loved them so much that I went out and bought a 2nd pair (7/10") to use for pressing my 4b type hair. I love how straight and shiny my hair is after use and it stays straight for 2 weeks without a retouch of any kind. Also, I want to let you know that I use it on the highest setting of 450 degrees and have never had burned hair from usage. This iron is a must-have!

Bought the FHI platform special edition! Does it stand for Freakin' Hair Incinerator. Burns hair. I thought I was getting a deal for my salon and I got nothing in a black and white box with a $17 shipping charge. Sent it back happy now:)
5 years & still makes my hair perfect!!!

My mom gave me the flat as a gift for my birthday. I was not sure if the iron was going to work well because I have never heard of the brand and I thought my CHI iron was the best out there. I was wrong... It was love at first try!! I use my flat iron almost daily and I love it because I can go straight or curly.

im using this one now i bought it about a year ago;; but put it away when i bought my CHI. then my CHI burnt out so i had to go back to this one until i order another one.
but i have very curly thick frizzy hair. i recently got the jap thermal permanent straighting & even with that this straighter still damages my hair. its good in the beginning then kinda fads out. but yes it straightens it but not as well as i would like it to. the CHI is ok to but im sure there are better ones if you do you homeowrk :)

It is a very good flat iron ..Heats up fast and instantly flattens hair!!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone!!

I was actually about to purchase a Chi, when the employee at the store told me that I should consider FHI over Chi. Since I had never heard of the brand I decided to do a little research. I found that FHI had very good customer reviews and the particular model I was interested in was less expensive than Chi. So, needless to say, I ordered it and was very glad I did. This is the best flat iron I've ever used!

This flat iron is awesome! It is the perfect hair styling tool for me and my daughter. We love it! It heats quickly and straightens our hair quickly leaving a silky gloss finish that holds up very well. The temperature control is great to control the heat on our hair. I highly recommend this product. Our hair stylist uses this flat iron so it was a must have for us. Purchasing it from Folica online was cheaper than all the places I searched plus it came with a travel heat pad/pouch and no shipping cost! The ordering process was very easy and it arrived in five days!

I truly do love the results this flat iron gives me but I am seriously reconsidering and getting a Chi! I had two different models from Fhi both gave me great results but they both gave out on me!! one day the light just went out and it never got hott again. and this was my second one because my first model did the same the thing is i just got this one in september. atleast i still have the warrenty its just such of an inconvinience

I am very happy with my purchase. The iron has the temperature control and that is the best because I can control the heat to my hair.

I highly recommend this product..it straightens your hair quickly i only had to go over it twice & it was straight!!!
The only thing i was not happy with is that i got this product and it was suppose to come with a cover & pad and it never came...

My daughter is a hair stylist and swears by this flat iron. My hair is long with a curly texture that tends to frizz. I absolutely LOVE this flat iron! It glides through my hair without pulling and leaves my hair smooth and soft. I only recommend the model with the adjustable heat.

My hair stylist uses this flatiron, so of course I had to get one for myself! It was actually cheaper buying online from Folica than buying one in a salon or beauty store. I would definitely recommend this product- because it is of higher quality you don't have to re-iron sections of hair like you would with lower quality irons.I run it over my hair once and I'm good to go!

My daughter was to receive this as a gift. but was unable to get it on her birthday because it arrived almost 2 weeks late. They never emailed me to say there was a problem, but finally answered MY email. They stated the gift did not get shipped on time due to the fact that they were out of the free hair solution that came with the product! They never attempted to contact me to see if I wanted them to go ahead and ship her gift. They just sent a holder for her straightener rather than what was to come with it, but waited about 2 weeks to send anything! They probably wouldn't have apologized at all if I hadn't emailed them. My daughter does love the product though.

I bought it for my niece for Christmas, she loves it! Her hair looks great every time I see her. Every time she was over she used our FHI Flat Iron w/variable temp. 1. (which we, my daughter & I love) She liked ours a lot but loves hers even more. This was one of her favorite gifts she opened on Christmas. The variable temperatures are the best. The FHI is worth the money.

I have very wavy hair and this iron i just got the other day and it is the best i have ever used and believe me i try every product that there is to get straight hair..It straightens it the first time so there is no need to keep going over the same pieces more than twice... 5 stars i highly recommend!!!!
