I had so many straighteners. I read what everyone had said about this one. So today I went out and I bought it. I wasent happy with the results at all, and I am very upset. I should of listened to the people who left the bad reports becuase i agree with them.

THE FHI FLAT IRON WORKS GREAT. I HAVE VERY CURLY HAIR AND THIS IRON STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR WITH NO PROBLEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE. THE ADJUSTABLE TEMPERTURE IS A PLUS!

I absolutely love this flat iron. A friend of mine has one that I was able to use when. As soon as I got home, I had to order it! In less than two days from ordering my flat iron from folica.com I got it, and I absolutely love it!

I've had this FHI Iron for 3 years now and it still works great. I've used it on all types of hair and they all get the same silky smooth results. I read a review here that said it doesn't work but I'm thinking it's because she doesn't know how to straighten her hair properly. If you have wavy curly hair, all you gotta do is make clean 1/2 inch sections and clamp it straight from the root and slowly work its way down ONCE with a comb under! If you take too thick of a section then you're doing it wrong and going over your hair way too many times just damaging the same section more and more.
This iron NEVER PULLS and never lets me down. It gets me finishing through clients with long hair btwn 10-15 minutes and takes me only 5 minutes to do it myself.
I recommend it over the CHI irons and a huge upgrade from users of the babyliss and futura users.

This is the MOST AWESOMEST porduct EVER!!!!!!
I have used so mny other products sucha s the corioliss and it make my hair frizy but wiht this it is the best ever it is sooooo... srtaight better then you ever dreamed.....

I bought this iron based on reading several reviews. Initially it did a great job on my Black and Asian hair, which is naturally wavy. I liked the fact that it heated up to 450 degrees. However, the iron is no longer working (it shorted out) after about 6 months. I am looking at the sedu based on other great reviews of that iron.

I am 100% satisfied with this flat iron. I always wondered how the pretty girls got their hair to look so silky, and now I know! i love this product this is exactly what i needed for me and my three daughters hair.they love this flat iron because it doesn't burn them as much as the hot comb.thanks F.H.I for this product and thanks folica for having at such a low price and for my free pouch mat. i would highly recommend this product if you want straightened hair

I bought the FHI Ceramic Flat Iron to replace my CHI. I found that the CHI works best in straightening my hair. I was disappointed because I had heard so many great things about the FHI. My hair gets very curly and I like the straight look. The FHI left my hair partially straightened. It was not as smooth as I like. I will stick with the CHI.

This was my first flat iron purchase ever. After extensive research I chose to get an FHI iron and it is amazing. I'm african american and my hair is relaxed but I try not to relax too often. I needed a good straightener for when my hair is 9-16 weeks post relaxer because at this point its hard to even get a comb through it and this iron straightens fantastically! I love it, it gets my roots very smooth at 370 degrees and I like this iron so much I purchased the fhi technique iron that is on sale now at folica.com as well! I may stretch my relaxer longer because with this iron your hair gets relaxer straight. I highly recommend it and I find that folica has the best price on these irons.

Great product for African Americans. I ruined mines and tried Coroliss but it didn't compare so I had to go back to my trustful FHIs. My stylist uses it and they're the experts.

I love this flat iron!
I borrowed my friend's and fell in love with it so decided to get my own. It heats up quickly, and because it gets so hot and is so high quality, takes a fraction of the time to straighten my hair compared to my old flat iron. My hair stays straight too, even if it's humid.
I highly recommend this flat iron. It's such a great buy!

I had this iron for nearly two years now and after a ton of abuse I'm starting to eperience some problems. THe iron woked perfectly till I left it on for about a full day till I found it still on against my wooden desk on a carpeted floor. Miraculously, the place didn't burn down but now the iron doesn't as well and I'll probably buy a new one.

Origionally I saw everyone's reviews and didn't think it could be that good. I was looking for a straightener, like the CHI that could also curl your hair. This can definitely do both. I can now straighten my hair completely in about 10 minutes instead of 20 to 30 and it feels less damaged after I straighten it which is weird. I definitely wouldn't pay more or less for anything besides this one.
Excellent hair iron, combined benefits of ceramic and tourmaline technology!

This was my very first hair iron, I have always been terrified of destroying my hair so I never allowed myself to consider purchasing an straightener. But after one too many bad hair days I decided it was time to start considering buying a good quality straightener. I researched as much as possible on all different brands and finally decided to go with the FHI after seeing all the good reviews and reading about the benefits of tourmaline. I was still very nervous though because even with all the good reviews, the negative reviews haunted me more. But I crossed my fingers and ordered one anyway. And I am happy to say I have been very pleased with the results! My hair is long(about to the middle of my back) and is very wavy and fluffy with a mind of its own. But with just five minutes of quick touch ups with the FHI left my hair soft and silky. And when I actually spend time to iron small sections at a time the result is even better! If your hair is really thick or curly you will have to go over sections a couple times but overall I thought this was an excellent iron, I'd recommend it to anyone! It heats up super fast, the plates are smooth and dont snag your hair, the cord is long enough that you dont get tangled up in it. The end of the iron does get super hot though, you have to be really careful not to burn your ears.

I was first introduced into this flat iron by my hair stylist, but then he told me what brand and where i might buy it...so i came on folicia. I was still suspicious because I thought maybe it was his technique that made my hair(African American hair with no relaxer 3c/4a) hair swing and honestly look like a weave...but no. I purchased it and after doing my hair the first time, it looked exactly like it does when its done in the shop. It saves LOTS of money and time. I previously had a hot tools flat iron, which in comparsion worked horribly. This flat iron is definitely a keeper if you're AA and want very straight, sexy, straight hair! Also its great for turning out on the ends or curling under!

I purchased this 1" iron, my first ever! I HATE doing my hair - quite frankly, I was never any good at it! However, I went ahead and bought this iron for my hair, which is texturized, and normally worn curly/'natural', and it's been fantastic. Separately, I have been seeking ways to avoid chemicals for my two very active daughters, ages 6 (swims year round, and gymnastics) & 9 (competitive gymnastics) ... I do braids, and even a pressing comb for the six year old (who's hair is so thick you can hardly get a comb thru it!) ... and this flat iron has worked out their hair just as well as my own (keep in mind mine is processed, theirs is natural)! The variable heat setting is critical when you're in a multi-woman household. My only complaint so far would be the cord has the feature to keep it from winding up, but it doesn't work and I do have to stop and unwind the cord myself periodically.
