Much better than the CHI!!!

I have owned this iron for about 3 1/2 years now. I have absolutely loved it! It has started to look a little old so I had decided to replace it back around Thanksgiving. My hairdresser told me they were having a sale on the Chis so I decided to buy one. After two weeks of continual use...I hated it! I decided to go back to my old beat up FHI that still works much better even after using daily for 3 1/2 years! I just can't say enough about this. I have above the shoulders highlighted hair & it's perfect every day thanks to FHI!
Wonderful flat iron!

I've tried over-the-counter ceramic flat irons in the past and finally decided to purchase a professional one. I purchased the 1"FHI w/variable temp controls and love it. I can totally straighten my daughter's natural, kinky hair on 425 degrees. I can wear my relaxed hair straight or curl it with this flat iron at 300degrees. It also makes it possible for me to go longer inbetween relaxer applications because of how it straightens my new growth. If anything ever happens to my iron, I'll be buying another one immediately!
Works Wonders

I bought my FHI straightener about one year ago and it still works like it is brand new! The last few straighteners I purchased (HOT TOOLS), worked less and less as good as each day went by and they didn't even last a year. I dont even have to think about buying another any time soon because this one is perfect. The plates dont even burn out like my previous ones. And it is so easy to clean. The plates are still shining like new. My sister in law has curly hair and can never get it straightened and the FHI honestly does work wonders! I get compliments about my hair every single time I go out. I LOVE IT! I would definitely recommend to anyone!!
Great flat iron!!

My daughter & I both have thick, naturally wavy, defiant hair. We have tried a few cheap flat irons that really didn't straighten our hair that well. Our hairstylist uses a CHI which works well for both of us so my daughter wanted a CHI. The reviews for the CHI were not that good and were much better for the FHI. I actually tried the WIGO first because of the price(bad move....you get what you pay for)but it didn't straighten much better than the cheap irons so I sent it back & bought the FHI. I could not be more happier with the FHI. It staightens our hair in half the time the cheaper irons did and leaves our hair straight & silky. It works every bit as good as the reviews said and as good as the CHI! I would definately buy another FHI!!
Great Deal!!!

This is one of those lucky deals. Price is cheap and product is great. I`m a hairdresser and own 10 diferent flat irons, and this one is high up there with T3, CHI and Paul Mitchell, but for a bargain price.
Like having a new hairstyle!

I purchased my FHI flat iron a couple of months ago and am very pleased with the results. It's exactly like the one my hair stylist uses. My hair is a bit coarse and has slight wave and cowlicks. It was a fight to get my hair straight for my new cut and then it wouln't last through the day. Now it's easily straightened and stays pretty much all day. It's so great not to worry about those few places sticking out by noon. So far I'm pleased. I'll have to see how long it lasts before I say I'll purchase another.
I've seen it all...

I have really curly hair, I'm talking thick, tiny ringlets. It's great curly, but I love it straight. I've tried several straighteners. I started with a conair, which didn't do it for me. The straight never held if it even got that straight to begin with. I used a Helen of Troy straightener for a while which was good, but then I knew I could have better. My hair stylist uses the CHI, and it was great. I wanted to buy my own and saw the FHI was much cheaper. I have had this straightener for about 4 years and I know it is fantastic. It straightens my hair and the straight stays. It works just as well as the CHI and it is cheaper. I love the adjustable setting which allows you to find the best fit for your hair. It is great for when certain parts of your hair may be thinner, such as bangs or etc. My friends use my straightener too, everyone knows it is good. I have recently just purchased a new one because I dropped mine several times, but like I said I had it for 4 years. Also one of the reviews mentions how they recieved a pink heatproof iron pouch and was unhappy with it. I recieved the black one with mine, and haven't had problems with fitting it in the pouch or anything. Honestly, overall this straightner is great, the few people who have listed bad reviews are really a surprise to me because my hair is basically as curly as it gets AND its thick! This straightener gets my hair straight and it stays that way untill I wash it. The price is great, and it is better for the thickness not to be much bigger then this one because it does less damage to the hair. I also recommend some sort of hair protectant spray with any straightener.

I love the vary temp control and the smothness of the iron gliding on hair and the finished glossy look. You can obtain salon beauty results at home I especially love that but I am also a licensed cosmetologist and use this iron on clients hair and have acheived great results

My 11 yo daughter who just entered middle school has been costing me a fortune going to the hair salon to have her hair straightened. Our stylist told us what to get and so I went on line and found the exact straightener that we wanted and at the best price! Delivered super fast to our home and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this product and also Folica.com

I have used a really cheap version before that was a complete waste of effort.
The key to all flat irons, though, is applying an heat protector on your hair prior to flattening it.
This flat iron heats up quickly and does an excellent job. My fantastic stylist uses three different sizes of this brand and the results on my hair are incredible. I use this particular one on my daughter's hair (for special) occasions and it looks spectacular.
I highly recommend this flat iron.
Works well

The flat irons work wonders on my naturally curly, non-chemically treated hair. My only gripe is that they sent with a bright pink felt case, not the black one that is advertised. Its pretty cheap looking and you have to wrestle with the irons to get them in.
Just okay!

I researched flat irons and this one had a good review, however, I'm not very satisfied with it. It doesn't leave my hair silky straight, and I have to go over my hair several times. I had a sedu, which was better. Next time I will try the Chi.
The best of many!

I have tried many flat irons, from the old Solano thru the CHI and I've spent a fortune. This iron is perfect for my highlighted hair - it doesn't burn the hair and leaves it straight and smooth. I love it!
wasnt all that

to me this item wasnt worth the money. i payed around $40 for a flat iron at sally's and it works better. this is just a waste of money. u dont have to use it to see that its made of cheap material. unless you really know what you want its better to buy your flat iron at an actual store. as for not frying your hair, all you really need is good thermal protection. for healthy hair all u basically need are the right products and a descent flat iron. id also like to add that i have course african american hair as well.
Excellent straightener for African-American hair!

I am an African-American with natural/unpermed hair. I have spent lots of money in the past on several flat irons to straighten my hair. They would straighten my hair, but leave my ends frizzy and knotty. My beautician used an FHI flat iron and would straighten my hair beautifully and leave it feeling silky. I would get compliments on my hair from strangers. Some people were amazed that my hair was so straight even though I didn't have a relaxer. So, I decided to get an FHI flat iron and style my hair myself. The FHI flat iron works great and I am saving money on visits to the hair salon! I recommended it to friends!
