It really helps to use an over-the-counter antibiotic cream or hydrogen peroxide after using the Emjoi so pores don't get red and infected. Your hair follicle is in a resting state (meaning it doesn't grow) for around 6-12 weeks after epilation, so remember to follow up with AHA or BHA lotions to exfoliate the area in the weeks and months following epilation to keep ingrowns away.
