This is the perfect hair removal system. Emjoi has helped me save a lot of time in my daily busy schedule. All you have to do is read the instructions carefully and follow them. It can remove hair on literally any part of the body. So, good luck to all the women who want clean and efficient hair removal!!!

This product is just too good. I bought it recently. It works wonders. Picks up each and every hair. sometimes you have to go over some hair again. But at the end removes all your hair.
The only thing where you have to compromise is PAIN. this method is more painful than waxing. Anyways i am so happy i bought this. thanks to all those who wrote reviews which helped me buy this product.

I love this epilator. I've been using it for 2+ years on my bikini line. It's great, effective, and fast. I used to wax and find the epilator to be the same in terms of discomfort. It hurts a little at first, just like the first time you got waxed, but then you get used to it and it's really not a big deal at all. I will never go back to shaving or waxing my bikini line. I think it's completely worth the money and love the rechargeable option. It's nice for travel too. If you haven't tried epilators since Epilady, then I definitely recommend trying the current Emjoi technology. Things have improved a lot and the new epilators are really really great.

Product Rating: 2 Not for Me!!
Reviewer: jenisha from Chicago, IL  Mon Jul 09 2007

I bought this thing thinking it would actually work. But the thing looked scary right when I turned it on. I thought it would cut my skin if I use it. I tried using it but it HURT REALLY BAD!!!! It pulls one hair at a time so I returned it and I'm just going to stick to waxing.

Product Rating: 3 Ouch!!!

This epilator works, however you must be willing to go through a lot of pain. It is very painful, it made me shed a tear or two!

Product Rating: 5 Works great!!!
Reviewer: Susana from Sarasota, FL  Thu May 24 2007

I've been using it since 1999. The hair is actually thinner and it lasts forever, 4 or 5 weeks. You can barely see if I have any hair because is very thin, like baby hair. Hightly recommended.

Product Rating: 5 This is the best, really!
Reviewer: Laurie from Ohio  Wed Apr 18 2007

I have used a couple of different hair removal systems for seven years now. This one really is the best, in my opinion. It gets even the really short hair, leaving my legs clean and smooth for several weeks at a time. Follow the manufacturer's suggestions for optimum results. Mine came with a little light on it that is terrific for illuminating the hairs so that I don't miss any!

Product Rating: 5 Love it!

Okay, yes it hurts like H - E - double hockey sticks, but it is soooo worth it. I've always had red armpits due to shaving - no matter how much nice shaving gel I used, they would get irritated and raw. Using this on my armpits was hard because it hurt, and I had to stop and start again several times, but I got through it and the next day they were so smooth and perfect and hairless and not irritated at all, and they stayed that way for days and days! I just kept looking at them, they were beautiful! :) Legs are also good, they didn't hurt nearly as much as my armpits, but the ankles are the most senisitive area. I think the shorter your hair is when you do any part of you, the less it hurts. But it can't be TOO short or the Emjoi won't catch it. My bikini line, yes it hurts a lot, but just go slow, stop and start, go back again after awhile, and eventually you are good to go. The more you do it, the less it hurts, and the less often you have to do it because your hair grows in cycles and once you get the first few cycles out it's much longer between epilations. Highly recommended.

Product Rating: 4 a little scary, but effective
Reviewer: beth from florida  Thu Mar 15 2007

this was my first epilator, and i was pretty intimidated by how loud it was, but it didn't hurt as much as i'd expected, especially on my bikini line where i'd waxed before. the more you use it the easier it gets, and if you use something like tendskin before and after, that helps. also take a hot shower, but only for around 5 minutes, and exfoliate right before. i only give it 4 stars because the curve of the head makes it difficult to reach certain spots, especially under the arm and in the bikini area, so i usually have to go around with a tweezer after.

Product Rating: 4 A good epilator for beginners.
Reviewer: pollypop from Alabama  Tue Mar 06 2007

Before I bought this epilator I'd never done anything other than shave. Now I don't ever want to shave again!

Don't get me wrong... It hurts like hell the first time you use it, but once you get past that initial stage it becomes easier and easier. The hair gets finer, and you have to use it less.

Just make sure that you soak in a hot bath to open your pores and exfoliate with a loofa before use. It definitely makes a difference. That simple act reduces pain, as well as aids in keeping ingrown hairs to a minimum.

I also recommend getting a product like Tend Skin to help reduce redness and bumps, as well as to minimize said ingrown hairs.

I was able to use this product on my legs, underarms, and a bit of the bikini area. I say a bit because it is rather large and there were certain areas I just couldn't hit right for hair removal. If you really want something for that area, think about trying something a bit smaller.

The only reason I've given this product 4/5 stars is because the cord wasn't really long enough for me. Though that's probably due the the odd layout of my house. Next time I'll probably go cordless.

I definitely recommend this product.

Product Rating: 5 Throw away your razors!!!
Reviewer: Nicole from Jacksonville, FL  Mon Jan 15 2007

I have had this Emjoi epilator for over two years now. It is the best invention ever!! I have not bought a razor since, and I never have to worry about next day stubble. A lot of people talk about the pain. It's not really that bad, and I use it everywhere. My friend bought the more expensive version, but this one works better. You won't be disappointed with this product.

Product Rating: 4 Buy it!

I am not going to lie, its painful, but you are pulling hair from the root. The more you pull your skin tight, the less painful it is. You have to go over the areas SEVERAL times, but it does work. And the hair doesnt grow back very fast, which is great!

Product Rating: 4 Hurts so good
Reviewer: Sharron from Land O Lakes FL  Thu Jan 04 2007

This product works very well, though it is not painless. Pain level was moderate to medium high, but it works very fast, so at least you finish quickly. Leaves area super smooth and it lasts several weeks, so it was worth the pain. Far more desirable than plucking or waxing, and does not leave any redness.

Product Rating: 5 Finally!!
Reviewer: Bethany from Minneapolis  Mon Nov 06 2006

First of all, Please let me acknowledge that I know this is going to sound like an ad but I am truly telling you the truth.

I have spent well over $500 over the last decade trying to find the perfect cream, epilator or at-home electrolysis kit for unwanted facial and body hair. I've got a few strays that I started plucking as a teenager. I'm a brunette and at the time didn't really think about the consequences! They were very fair and short; and now, years later, are almost whisker-thick. Although no one else may notice them... I do and they drive me nuts! I purchased this product about a month ago and I have to say how utterly thrilled I am with it. It's not a cream or electrolysis but it pulls out hairs with ease that in the past have spent minutes trying to get at with tweezers, leaving a red mark or slight sore and they stay away for at least a few weeks. Any discomfort or slight redness disappears within less than a couple of minutes and leaves my skin smooth, smooth, smooth! Thank you so much for this awesome product and for pricing it so that I could finally afford something that truly works!

It is really good.First it was painfull but afret it if fine

Product Rating: 5 Awesome!
Reviewer: anon   Thu Sep 07 2006

This epilator works fast and removes hair well. I have used other epilators before, so there wasn't a big problem with the pain. I like that it has a cord, so I don't have to worry about replacing the batteries. This model works best on the legs. It's worth paying a little extra for this one!

Product Rating: 4 Not bad but not great
Reviewer: T from New York  Wed Sep 06 2006

Results: I think this product is good if you have thick hair. I used it for my underarms, where the hair is thicker and it works great. Takes a little bit of time to get everything but it is effective. I also tried it in other areas where the hair is thinner (my arm) and it didn't work well for that area so I wouldn't recommend this product if you have finer hair. It would be better to wax those areas.

Comfort Level: It definitely hurts the first time but as you get used to it, it hurts less.

Product Quality: It's a solid product and the pouch it comes with is very handy if you need to travel. For some reason I thought this was a battery operated product, however, it plugs into an electrical socket so not a great product if you travel internationally frequently.

Other comments: It does make a lot of noise and the spinning "pluckers" almost make it look like a lawn mower for human hair, which I found intimidating the first time I turned it on but so far I haven't hurt myself on it and I'm pretty clumsy.

Product Rating: 2 My Opinion

Not happy my old epilator worked much better, than this one. I have asked for a refund. This product may work well for others just not for me.
