I've only used it a couple times on my legs, and this gadget is pretty good and a lot less painful than the really old hair remover with the long coil springy thing-a-ma-jig. I plan to try it out on my face and underarms... we'll see.

I have been hesitant about trying one of the epilatory products for a while. I did not want to go through all the pain and still have to shave my legs two days after. However, as soon as I received my emjoi hair removal system I used it and I am more than satisfied. It does hurt at first and you just have to mentally prepare yourself for it, but after a few minutes the pain deceases greatly. The only thing I did not like about it is that it does not remove the really short (I mean really short) hair, but I went ahead and used it again after two days, and today (5 days later) my legs are still smooth like the baby's behind :)
Excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone.

OUCH! This product is closely related to a chainsaw torture device requiring at least two shots of alcohol intake before attempting to try such a contraption. The old fashion waxing gives the same results. I as an individual would much rather have the quick waxing experience rather than the constant and painful back and forth motion in one area to achieve smooth results. I am not saying this product is defective in anyway as it does achieve the results it promises, but if you are looking for any amount of “comfort” while trying to remove hair I would recommend waxing instead of using this product. But honestly what form of hair removal system doesn't require some amount of discomfort!

I have used it on my - what was a very hairy chest and back (I am one of the lucky few who can actually reach any part of my back with this) and it really works. It was very painful the first time, but since then I have been "topping up" almost on a daily basis (takes about 5 minutes) and the hairs get whipped out before they get set. So now the pain is almost non-existent with only the very occasional tough hair causing a little pain. I love my smooth chest now and the pain I experienced the first time seems all worthwhile. I've been using it for over 6 months now and would recommend the product to anyone who can tolerate the pain of the first effort. If you don't use it regularly though it will hurt as much as the first time each time and it will also take ages to get smooth.
