I read all the reviews on this product before purchasing. It does work. After the first use it really dosen't hurt that bad. The only thing is that it dosen't get the really short hairs. So you still have to tweeze, but not as much. I used it on my legs as well and it does take awhile to get your legs done but once you do it is easy to keep up with.

I was hoping the product would be the thing to deter me from getting LASER HAIR REMOVAL. I suggest using the EMJOI EPISLIM instead of Waxing. But I am still considering getting Laser Hair Removal after seeing how the Emjoi Epislim can't remove hair that is just coming up.
The hair has to be 5mm (milli-meters)or longer (not to long) for this hair remover to Remove it. I bought this product for the bikini area - so Laser Hair Removal may be the best way to go for that area.

This is a terrific epilator and you can't beat the price. I own three different ones, one for the legs with interchangeable heads, one for the lips and this one which I bought specifically for the underarms and bikini area. I've been shaving and waxing my underarms (of course I preferred waxing, but it can get expensive), so I decided to buy this epilator to see how it worked. I was pleasantly surprised how well it removed all the hair under my arms. Every bit of it! And it left my skin smooth and free of bumps. However, you MUST make sure you pull the skin as taught as possible. A little tricky to master with only two hands, but it can be done. Yes, it's a little painful, but bearable. I just love it!! Especially when I go on vacation, no worries about shaving every day. I've yet to try it on my bikini area, but I will brave it soon. I recommend it as a must have.

Ok I just wrote a review saying this product did a crappy job...Well I left my legs alone for a couple hrs and now just used the epilator again - It is working, and my red spots did go away! BUT I do think you really have to get one of the larger epilators - It just takes way too much time going over the same spots over and over with this little guy. Good luck! They will work - just ...have to have a lot of time on your hands.

My tweasers works better then this product. I bought this because I thought it got a fairly decent review. You have to go over and over the same area for so long that it is way to time consuming. It barely removed any hair, course or light. I tried it in a variety of different places. I don't know maybe I should have gotten one of the larger sized more powerful epilators...but I don't want to waste any more money.I'm not saying it didn't remove ANY hair at all, but it was VERY random. I don't think it does a good job AT ALL of removing hairs from the root. I have a feeling I just created some ingrown hairs in the process of using this product. I was trying to take a pciture of my leg to show how it is red and irritated and still stubly...but I used my batteries all up on this epilator!~
Much better than waxing!

As an ex-chemotherapy patient during which treatment I lost ALL the hair on my body, my after-chemo facial/neck hair regrowth was atrocious! Waxing left redness and bumps. I found Emjoi, have used it 4 times(with some pain/discomfort) but I'm thrilled with the results! It doesn't grab the stubble on my upper lip where I continue to shave since it's a very sensitive area, but over time I'm sure I can make it work there too. Overall, VERY happy with Emjoi. I highly recommend it.

i have only attempted to use it. but the spots that i have tried it on is still smooth a week later, but i haven't brought myself to try it again. there is pain. not excessive, but enough.

This is a very good product and a perfect tool to get rid of unwanted hair. I have used on my legs a big epilator for more than 5 years, and though I'm not using this new small epilator on my legs, it has shown just as powerfull as that one.
I have very sensitive skin prone to ingrown hair, however, this epilator does not irritate my skin a bit.

It is a painful proeceedure but hey you're pulling out hair the only place I use it is in the face I think for thicker hair buy the bigger one.

This product removes hair very quickly. I had alot of small hairs on my chin. However during the initial hair removal process it took a long time, but now the hair grows back slower. I use this product for as few hairs here and there about every few days. I was hoping the hair would be pulled from the root, but I am happy to just have them removed. Also the product does leave darks spots, but they go away in a few days. Overall I am continuing to use this product and I do recommend it to others.

I was very worried that it might hurt, because I had tried an epilator on my legs a few years ago, and whoa that thing HURT!! But the epi slim did'nt hurt my chin at all! It hurt a little bit on my lower cheeks, but nothing I could'nt bear!! I have already let both of my sisters try it, and they have both ordered one!!! Thanks Much!!!

This little machine is a great item. As long as you use it as directed it does the trick. I have sensitive skin but it did not leave blotches & it did not hurt to use as I expected. For the price you can't beat it.

I have been battling chin hairs since my thirties. I was having a lot of trouble keeping up with the course ones (I have about 30 or so). As soon as you think you've plucked them all, another pops out. Epi Slim is the best thing EVER! I have never used an epilator before and it doesn't hurt at all. I just use it every five days or so whether i feel anything or not. I never have to obsess about chin hairs again. I can't say enough for this product. It saves loads of time and doesn't leave any behind as you would if you plucked. It also works great on underarms! I have sensitive skin and have had no problems. It gets the really short ones too so as soon as you notice one, you dont have to wait to use Epi Slim. Thanks for a super product! I really don't usually go on like this but it's so rare that you find a reasonably priced product that does what it says it will do and leaves you wondering how you lived without it.

I just wanted to write this review to let others know that my experience with this product has been outstanding!!!!!! I have recently tried those waxing strips to no avail it just about ripped along layers of skin along with the hair off my face and it took about a week for that to heal, what a sight......Then this product arrived just yesterday and it was so easy to use and manuever on your face. It works fantastic on your upper lip and chin. Compared to waxing,,,, this is far more comfortable. I would also like to add , the next day my skin was not irritated with little red bumps as it looked the next day from waxing. I love this little product you can touch up and remove hairs as often as needed...I highly recommend anyone to definitely give this product a try and you will not be disappointed, TRUST ME!!!!!!

I absolutely love this product! I have been shaving daily for the last fifteen years and now I only have to do a touch-up every week or so. The first time you use the product it does indeed cause some discomfort, but after two times the pain was gone and I can now enjoy being stubble-free for the first time that I can remember. I have already recommended the product to all my friends and plan on buying other products from the same company - excellent product for a cheap price!

I've been reading these reviews for a real long time but never got around to buying this epilator until recently. I really liked it and it worked just as I thought it would.
Run it over the area a coupla times and the hair is ALL gone!
I think people who find that it doesn't work too well are maybe not using it right; the trick is to hold it 90 degrees to the skin, with the logo facing up, and run the epilator up and down or in steady circular motions (as the manual says). Both work fine for me, I rather think the circular way is less painful but that could just be my imagination :)
The only reason I gave it four stars was because I had the bigger Emjoi which I used on my legs, and it gave me awful ingrowns :( It usually appears over a period of time and not after the first few times, so I'm waiting to see what happens with this.
Otherwise it's definitely a great buy! And much cheaper than other epilators.
Hurts, but worth it!

Well after reading all of the reviews for a couple of weeks, I decided to try it for myself, so I bought it. I have to say I was afraid of getting it near my face, because it was SO loud, but once I did, I got over it. It sounds scary, but it isn't. And it does hurt, quite a bit. But of course, the more you use it the more you get used to the pain. I tried it on my legs, but I don't think it's good for legs because it's just too time consuming. But for the face, it's perfect!!!!

I bought this product a year ago and I love it! It takes the hair out so fast that your barely feel a thing. Great for if your traveling...
