Better for small areas

This epilator fits perfectly in your underarm; first couple of uses sting, but the more you use it the better it works and the less it hurts...great not to have to shave everyday now!
Small and effective!

Wish I had discovered this years ago! It took a little getting used to. A bit painful initially, however, nothing like the pain experienced with waxing and tweezing. After using it a few times, it isn't the least bit uncomfortable. Everyone has different types of hair and skin so people experience different results. This is definitely worth a try.

I used this product on my bikini area and it was VERY painful. It left me bleeding badly w/ HUGE red bumps. Two days later the hair began to grow back but the bumps still didn't go away:(
The Emjoi EpiSlim Hair Remover did not work as expected.

Even when used as directed, the hair remover did not remove hair well. I could feel the few hairs that were pulled out most were left behind.
Not for me.

I bought this product. However, it hurts a lot . I have courser hair and it didnt even pull them out. It was almost like not using anything. I suppose if you have some soft hair it might work. But didnt on me and the few finer hairs it pulled out hurt a lot.

I am a white woman in my late 30's with very fair skin and hair. I also have 'peach fuzz' on my face. Since I am getting older (and during pregnancy) the hair growth seems worse. I was most concerned about the hair above my lip and on my chin. Waxing regularly was expensive and it's too hard to get to the salon on a regular basis, so I thought I would try this product. I also am concerned that waxing my upper lip will cause wrinkles - although I've never read anything to support this it just seems to me it would be a natural result. The first time I used the EpiSlim, it hurt much more than I expected. It left my skin red, so I recommend doing this at night before bedtime so you have time to heal. I was scared to use it a second time b/c of the pain, but when I did it again it was MUCH better. I think how much it hurts is dependent on your pain tolerance, how dense the area is with hair, and how long the hair is. Don't let the regrowth get too far before using this product. It is also helpful to make the skin as taught as possible when using the EpiSlim. I'm really happy with this product and would recommend it for others to use on their chin/upper lip area.
Ouch!

Product definitely does what it says it does, but it hurts pretty darn bad, and left spots along my jaw line and chin bleeding. It even hurt for several days afterwards with makeup on. I will keep searching for a removal item as this one is definitely not for me!

I can use this anywhere. My arms, bikini line, legs, back, underarms, tummy. It hurts though if you are not use to the feeling of each hair getting pulled out of the root. It doesnt pull out every single hair from my arms, but that doesnt matter as long as you cant see the hair. The shorter the hair, the less it hurts. So when I use it one my legs, i use it after I shave for touch ups. I love it, its easy to use anywhere. It is a little loud, but i can deal. Ive never used any other epilator before so I cant compare, but i do recommend it.
Beats manual tweezers!

For the size of this little bugger, it does a terrific job of hair removal and lasts quite a while on one set of batteries. It's important to use this product over tightened skin for the most comfort during epilation. There will be less pulling of hair if you do this.

I've been using EpiSlim for 2 years now and it's the best 20 bucks I ever spent. I have spent hundreds if not thousands on other hair removal products (but not laser) and this takes out the hair and I have to use it less often. I have blonde but strong facial hair on my chin, cheeks, lip and neck--yuk! (thank you menopause!!!)I use it every other night for about 5 minutes and I am hair free. Even use it on my sideburns. Just a few days ago I tried it on my arms, and whoa, it worked great! One more place I don't have to use a hair removal cream...that I use on my legs and private areas--waxing is too costly and too painful. Epislim is a lot less pain, in my opinion, or else I've just gotten used to it!
Super product!

I have to say it is one of the best things I've bought lately. For a few years now I have been using Bliss at-home Poetic Waxing kit for the light blonde hairs on my upper lip that seem to shine in certain lighting.
When I first turned on the Epislim I was immediately intimidated. But i used it and was amazed. It was not at all harsh on my skin like the RIPPING action of hot wax which my mom is convinced left her with wrinkles. This got all the hairs off my lip, with no pain (maybe i'm just used to the extreme pain of waxing) -but this really did not hurt. All the hairs are gone in less than half the time of waxing---waiting for water to boil, wax to get hot...and then i would have to keep reapplying more wax to get the stray hairs.
I used to dread having to wax my lip every month - but with the Epislim it was easy and fast. I could do it in the morning before work right along with brushing my teeth.

I ordered this because I just don't have the time to get to the salon for regular waxings and I have bruised myself trying to bikini wax at home.
This hurts just as bad as a brazillian, but without the risk of bruising. Works best if you have already removed the hair before and use this to grab the new growth and keep the bikini area shaped. It's loud though - everyone in the house will know what your doing:)
Bottom line - if you can't budget the time to keep up with salon waxing - this is the next best thing without being dangerous!

The item achieved the desired results easily, but while I am fuzzy and getting fuzzier at 54, I am blond and fine-haired so the emjoi was not overly challenged. I would definitely recommend this method over waxing for folks with annoying but not terribly coarse and thick hair growth.Thank you, whoever you are, for inventing this gizmo, and thanks for the friendly, prompt service.

Hi I've tried everything - waxing, electrolysis, laser, tweezing. But for the money, time, and results, Epislim is the greatest thing I've tried. A few minutes once a week to catch hairs in different stages and you're beautiful and hair free. Some pain, but no biggee.

I am so pleased with the Emjoi Epi Slim. I use it to remove facial hair and it works like magic. It pulls out the hair in one easy sweep and I don't get any unsightly bumps. It works so well that I only need to use it once a month. Folica is an excellent company they are fast and easy to work with.
I love my EpiSlim Hair Remover

I am in my mid-sixties, and within the past year, developed what could almost be described as a beard. I had a couple of professional waxes, which worked great, of course, but are really beyond the limits of my budget. I ordered the EpiSlim Hair Remover, and have used it twice so far, and I love it! I suffer from constant facial pain and wasn't sure I could tolerate the pain spoken about in other reviews. Well, I'm happy to say that for me personally, I experience absolutely no pain when using it, and the results are great. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with my EpiSlim Hair Remover.

This product is not what I expected. The only hair that was taken off was the fine hair on my legs. It took too long to cover the body hair that was on my legs and underarms. It HURTS! I did not get any satisfaction! Forget this one for sure.

Worked as intended, although will not remove very short hairs, must then tweeze. Slight pricked feeling when removing fine hair but I think the sensitivity will lessen with continued use. Delivery was with other items and was prompt.
