Doesn't meet any promises

This item does not meet any of my expectation. This product promised to decrease the frequency of tweezing but it did not remove any hair. I just used it and noticed in the mirror that the hairs are still there. Now my skin feels tender and I have to tweeze anyway. I'll probably never use it again.

This product scared me the first time I turned it on . . I couldn't imagine using it on my face, but it is really more gentle than it sounds.
I was very frustrated with the customer service of Folica, however. I ordered the product, was informed it was on back order, and then unexpectedly received it 3 months later with no warning. I had emailed Folica with no response, and had counted the order as ignored when a debit appeared on my account. Communication with customers should be better.
Not sure I like the pain.

I thought this was something different, but it works great if you missed a spot shaving. It definitely feels like someone is pulling each hair out individually. Not great for large areas.

Now, I have a serious problem with facial hair growth, and this is the first product that I have used that did not give me razor bumps (mind you I have never used a razor, its just the texture of my hair). Anything that can work these kinds of miracles is wonderful to me. So why four stars instead of five? It FRIGGIN hurts!! I had to do it over the weekend because it hurt so bad. The pain is worth it, but it really does hurt (and this is coming from someone with an extremely high tolerance for pain, I mean waxing didnt hurt this bad). If you are an African-American woman suffering from a facial hair problem, GET THIS!!

I haven't been using it long, so maybe that's why the hair seems to grow back faster than when I tweeze them, and it hurts when I try to use it above the upper lip...but I would recommend it over shaving any day.

Maybe I'm chicken and therefore not doing it right, but I still have to use this product nearly on my upper lip as much as I used the Finishing Touch.
It does hurt to use, but I am getting more used to it. Still, the hair seems to grow back quickly. I'm not sure I would recommend this product.

This little unit is effective for addressing mid-life facial fuzz...... some minor skin aggravation can result, in the cheek zone, but it can really help out w below the lip, even the lower arms. I did not find it could handle the random dark hair tweezing needs of the upper lip, but, again, it is good at the fine facial fuzz that begins to appear @ mid-life.
I'm glad I acquired it.

Thanks to this product...I don't have to shave that much anymore. I spend less time in the shower because I don't have to shave anymore. Because it battery operated...you can just about to remove hair in your legs anywhere! :)

I have struggled with facial hair all my life and have tried almost everything. This little gadget does the trick. I actually like that it doesn't remove ALL the hairs - it give a more natural look than having these bald patches on my face. To avoid bumps I clean the area with rubbing alchohol first, then after removing the hair I put on some neosporin. NO BUMPS! I love this thing, the very slight pain is worth it.

I have tried numerous facial hair removal items and nothing has worked to my satisfaction. That was until I purchased the epi slim. I also purchased it based on the reviews and I do not regret it! It was fast and for me, painless. I have very sensitive skin and was fearful of irritation but had none at all. And most importantly, the results were great. I would recommend this product to anyone.
If I'd only known sooner!

I bought the epi slim based on customer reviews and have found it to be exactly what I was looking for. The directions are easy to follow and I took the advice of one of the reviews and used a small ice pack before the treatment to take the sting away and it worked. The improvement was visible the first week. The hair is already coming in more like fuzz!

I used to get my chin and lip threaded, my chin would sometimes feel prickly with the new growth, but now with the EMJOI, I can remove the hair in the privacy of my own home with out any pain and without the pricklies, the regrowth feels alot softer now too. Love it.

Of course if you're pulling hair out by the root, it's not going to be the most comfortable thing in the world, but by using my Epislim, I can take the hair off my chin in 1/4 of the time I used to spend using my tweezers! I really recommend this product. Enjoy!!!

I wished I would have discovered this a few years ago. I have this one and also a larger one(Emjoi Gold Caress) for the whole body. Actually I ended up using only this one. Its perfect for the face and underarms.It fits into all those smaller curves perfectly. I bought the larger one for my legs , but after only a few weeks started to get really bad bumps all over my legs (even after using the loofa religously)so I'm back to using a razor for my legs. This one is just as powerful as my larger one. And the batteries are still going strong. I've used it about every 2- 3 weeks since August. My advice is try this smaller one first and only do a portion of your legs to see if you will be able to use it before investing in a larger one. I really wished I would have sent my more expensive one back but by then the 30 days were already up.

This is the first time I've used one of these devices. I think it's great. I just need a bigger one. No more razer burn in those uncomfortable areas. I've always waxed because my skin is too sensitive to shave. The more you use it the thinner the hair comes in-like waxing but takes longer. I even used it on my husband.
For a real facial hair fix !!

I have been dealing with extreme facial hair for 15 years now , and I literally spent thousands on everything from ALL the home products to Laser hair removal nothing has been more effective then this product . It took a week for any hair to grow back after the first use and longer spans there after !! It is easy relatively painless and WELL WORTH IT ! Buy it if you want to fix your facial hair issue !!

I really like the EpiSlim...wish I'd gotten one a long time ago. It is excellent on my chin and neck area ... a little painful on the upper lip but I love the end result. I will recommend this product to others in need...

I've been using this product for about a month. It's definitely worth the money. It takes off the unwanted hair, but not the fine hairs which I guess is okay. It's easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

This is an inexpensive epilator but don't be fooled, this is a top quality product! Works marvelously on facial hair plus it's narrow enough to use for face and other smaller areas. Not a miracle product - you may have to go over areas a few times (but not TOO much or TOO zealously or you'll irritate your skin), and you may even do some cleanup with tweezers in the end, but compared to just tweezers or other epilators (like the Braun which is requires more tweezing afterwards and is wide), this is awesome! I'm so grateful for this thing.

It does hurt a bit until you get use to it, but it works great. It doesn't alway pull out the thick hairs but everything else is gone, so a couple of plucks for a hairless face is great. Use short strokes in the sensitive areas and you'll get through it fine.
