Everyday is a battle to keep my hair (thick & curly)smooth and straight, when you live in -swamp counrty- southern louisiana.... I just got the Da Vinci 5000 and it's great.I found it fast and quiet. It took me awhile to get use to hurricane force blower... because, I have to section my hair to dry it.I would definately reccomend it to any one, I love it.

Best hair dryer I've ever used. Cut time in half and my hair is so straight and soft!!!! Love it!!

I love this dryer. more powerful then my others, the reason for 4 stars is that when ur holding itit keeps pressing the "cool shots" button. thats annoying. Honestly has not cut down drying time. I think thats because of my hair which is real course and frizzy, takes my hair dresser a while too. Does get super hot, a little heavy but i didnt mind. It felt like a quality product!

Just recently purchased the Elchim Davinci with coupon and very fast shipping from Folica. I've used the dryer about 5 times now and it's been great. It has multiple settings for air flow and heat - I use the highest blower speed and the "warm" setting on the first pass and use the highest heat setting on a 2nd pass for just a short time to ensure hair is dry. The blower combined with the concentrator nozzle makes for precise drying and my hair has felt softer since I first started using it. There's an extra long and very durable cord which is great for me since outlets are not in easy reach. I was hoping there was 4 1/2 star option because I haven't really noticed a difference in the time it takes to dry my hair and the dryer's a little on the heavy side. I have fine, curly hair that I straighten - takes 10-15mins to dry and this hasn't changed. Other than this, it's a great dryer, looks great too! It has a cold shot button which is truly 'cold' - much colder than others I've used. I chose this over the more popular and lighter weight Elchim 2001 because of the ionic generator, cold air switch, and the higher flow of air so I can use less heat to get hair dry. The Davinci claims to have the same long-life reliability of the 2001, so I'm hoping this is a long-term investment.
Oh yeah, the color's fab too :).

I was waiting for Folica to get this dryer. I had read so many good reviews about it and wanted to try it. I absolutely love this blow dryer. It dried my hair super fast and it turned out shiny with lots of body, something I never got with any other blow dryer. I am known for returning things that I do not like, but I will not be returning this dryer.

So I was using my Chi dryer, which I really liked, and then I got the Elchim Davinci....which blows Chi out of the water!!! I have long wavy thick hair which usually takes at least 45 minutes to try. With this powerful dryer blow drying is easy and results are awesome. Leaves my hair shiny and with lots of volume. I would definately reccomend :)
