I had long hair and I decided to cut my hair into a short bob. At first I was very unfamiliar and frustrated with the frizz on the top of my head and the hair in the back that were hard to reach with a flat iron (without burning my self). My hair dresser recommend this product and I must say, it leaves your hair super soft, and smells sooo good. The shampoo really does cut down the frizz. My hair is thick, I was using a generous amount. Worth trying. My brother's wife works at a high end salon in Chicago and bought me this for Christmas. I loved it. The shampoo won't lather like other shampoos because it only lathers when your hair is clean so you might have to wash it twice. I also used it along with the conditioner and absolutely loved it. My hair would always be manageable and would never be frizzy even after I woke up the next day. The price is high but it is well worth it. I voted it the best. I am always in search of a great product for my naturally curly/frizzy hair. When I read the reviews for Davines LOVE Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner, I didn't hesitate to order two bottles of the shampoo and one jar of the conditioner. I was terribly disappointed in the results. I saw no marked improvement in the shape of my hair after using it. In fact, my hair came out dull with absolutely no shine. I depend on customer reviews when buying products, but rarely write them myself. Since I have decided to return these products -- a first for items ordered through Folica -- I thought it was only fair to share my thoughts. This Shampoo and Conditioner combination is called Love, and the feeling is definitely mutual. I have naturally curly hair coming out of the shower, but this turns the curliness into natural waves or loose curls (otherwise they'd be ringlets. its weird) that I can either straighten super easily, or leave it alone. Not only that, it makes my hair super soft and keeps if from drying too much! I'm bi-racial. As a little girl, my mother resorted to cutting all off my long curly hair after the bristle pads of several brushes came off in my hair. I've struggled with my course hair since I've been able to style it on my own. I've tried all of the popular salon products and store brand products. Davines has been my own personal miracle. I'm so glad I was referred to this product. I'm able to comb right through my long wet hair after only a few strokes. My hair is super glossy after it air dries and I've even wore it naturally curly for the first time ever after using Davines. I'm so glad Folica added it to their line-up.
