I bought a centrix 5000 dryer two years ago this past Christmas and Saturday the motor burned out! Thats alot of money for two years of service. I'm the only one that used it and I house it on a hook, taking good care of it. I'm very disappointed principally because it wasn't cheap.
Fantastic, but wish it lived longer

These dryers are fantastic to use....they just don't have a long enough life! Super-Powerful air stream, the high heat is very hot, and the low heat is just right. Problem is, my first one lasted only two weeks before it actually sparked flames through the rear intake opening...scared me to death. The replacement one performed beautifully, but lasted just over a year---yes, just long enough to void the warranty. wow. perfect timing :) For this much money, it's not worth it. Even one more year would have helped.

It is great to begin with, but after 6 months something goes wrong. Speeds do not work, stuck on high. Electrical sparking. Not worth it.

I have been a hair stylist for 7 years now. My first day as a proffesional I bought the Centrix 5000 hair dryer. Quickly I discovered that blow drying was a passion! I have a huge blow-dry clientel....many of my clients come in once a week for this service! It is amazing to me that I have been using this same dryer this whole time, and the thing just keeps on ticking without missing a beat! Without a doubt, my bessed investment yet

Working in a professional hair salon, I have not found any other dryer that compares to this one. It is so powerful and cuts my drying time way down. I also can not believe how smooth my hair is after drying! I will never use another dryer.. ever! Worth every penny!!

I first used this at my cousin's house and couldn't believe how smooth my hair came out...intantly I was in love. It doesn't cut down on drying time, but if you have super thick hair that can get very frizzy when not dried thoroughly like I do then you won't be disappointed. A little pricey, but worth the investment.
