I just sent this back. I am black and my hair is not chemically straightened. I ordered this iron expecting great things and it was just okay. The first thing I noticed out of the box was that it does not have the swivel cord... kind of annoying. The next major thing I noticed was the plates were glazed... like a ceramic plate. I felt like that hindered the performance of this flat iron.

This straightener was my moms and i used it occasionaly before i got layers and angles...then i started using it more and more because my hair was soo hard to manage. It takes a while to heat up....but i LOVEEE this straightener.

my hair is thick frizzy and BIG, this straightner straightened it in 5 minutes or less. $$120 might seem like a lot but it is soooo worth it! I'd reccomend this to anyone!

this hair straightener is AMAZING and its the same one my hair stylist uses it works perfectly i love it!!

Well when I tried the straightner at first the strightner wouldnt heat up but after a while it soon started to work. And is actually straightened my hair and I have really curly frizzy fluffy hair so it was a life saver. Thanks so much Crickett(L)...
