the plates aren't even it pulls the hair and does not silk the hair out at all. Left my hair feeling crunchy and dry.I wish they never stopped selling the wee chi irons!

I bought this iron at a mall kiosk and that was the biggest mistake I ever made. Of course the demo was fantastic and appealing (it worked, I bought the iron). From the minute I took it home the thing was problematic: snagging of the hair, burning my hands while I tried to curl, and then for the big finale, it stopped heating two days after I bought it. Went luke warm while I was using it. Frankly, my drugstore Conair Satin Finish is a much better product. And for the kicker, the kiosk at the mall where I bought the iron won't give me a refund only and exchange. My advice for whatever its worth, save your money and avoid Cortex.

This is an amazing straightener,and a curler. Believe it or not, it makes your hair silkier, and takes only 10 minutes to do a whole head of hair!! I love crotex!!!
