Replacement ceramic plates?
Is it possible to replace the ceramic plates? I too bought my cortex at a mall and was ripped off royally. I recently dropped my flat iron on the floor and now both of the ceramic plates are cracked. Is it possible to replace just the plates or do I have to purchase a new iron? Needless to say, the one-year warranty is bogus and I have no way to contact the people I bought this from!

Not knowing I could purchase this online i just purchased mine at the mall today, thankfully i only paid 85! That being said, they told me that as long as i have the receipt that they will replace it if ever broken. I i don't feel too ripped off cause i see online the warranty is only 1 year but at the kiosk they told me I have a lifetime warranty. If I were you I would try taking it back to the kiosk and see if they will replace it.

Why are they so expensive at the mall.
My husband bought for me at the North Star Mall in San Antonio, Texas; he knew I wanted one for Christmas; but when he show me the receipt he paid $150 plus tax he paid $162.38 with tax that was a rip off! We went back to return the next day since we were in San Antonio for the weekend the young person refuse to refund our money back! I will not recommended to no one!
