Everyone's hair is different. I believe we can say that a high quality expensive hair straightener is best tested on thick thick thick curly coarse hair. No one's opinions of thin straight hair count really, because this product is super hot and heated for those with hair that is naturally extremely curly and coarse. It also depends on how you use the straightener and how you take care of it.
My hair took about 5 mins to straighten with this and i have the thickest curliest hair you can imagine. The expensive chi i had to go over 5 times to get the same effect. consider your hair first...

This iron is amazing, I bought it from my hairdresser that works in a Paul Mitchell salon in Florida, I have tried TONS of irons including a CHI, SEDU, T3 and this one by far is the best, I have VERY frizzy curly hair and it straightened it out perfectly! I would recommend this iron to EVERYONE!!!!!! A+++++

This is worse then the cheap revelon one. I have thin short hair and yet i cant straighten my hair with it. I have never used a straightening iron this bad.

i bought my pink coriloss a year ago. omg how wonderful i thought it was when the lady at the mall demenstrated it on me. I thought it made my hair so silky and straight and it curled to!!!!!! MY hair is very thick and curly so this was a big deal 2 me so i bought it even though $130. The weirdest thing is when i tried it at home it wasnt all silky, it takes me about 3 times to get a strand straight and it does not hold up the humidity in florida. I swear i thnk they sell u a weaker verson of the one they demedtrate on, my corioliss still works but ive notice its even weaker in power. Not the best straightner if u have thick , curly hair dont waste ur money there are no refunds i am thinkng about buying a chi

I bought this product last year. I used it on my daughter's hair.(African American) It made her hair very silky and smooth, so I was extremely pleased at first. However, over time, I noticed her hair getting shorter and shorter. I did not realize that it was the Corioliss damaging her hair. I thought maybe it was the hair products I was using. I asked my beautician about the Corioliss and she said that it was too hot for my daughter's hair. The temperature is not adjustable. The temperature is set at 210 degrees C. I found out that that is 410 degrees F.

I bought one iron and the sides turned black from the heat. I returned it and the new one I received did the same thing. The iron itself works great but it shouldn't turn black along the edges. I wouldn't buy it again. It's more trouble then its worth and now I'm stuck with a really bad looking iron.

i just bought this and havent used it yet and i see the reviews and im gettin sad! now im scared to use it lol =( but a bunch of people not working their were likethey bought it and it was an amazing product and if i make an appontment and they do my hair 4 me so i dont no!!!!

I really like this flat iron, it works really great, but i ended up purchasing the purple one, and when i turned it on it ended up leaving purple streaks on my countertop. Now im not telling you to not put an interest in this iron, because it's really one of the best that i have ever used, i just wouldn't recomend buying the purple one.

This is a Wonderful Flat iron, I've been using it NON stop for almost 2 years. Every day use just about.
the only bad thing that happened to mine.. and it's probably my Fault, one of the ceramic plates fell out because the four prongs that hold it in broke. My husband was able to fix it since he works on electronics all day. But am defiantly going to be buying another one soon if the company wont send me a replacement part.
A++++++ product!

This straightener is about as good as any flat iron you can get from a store for about twenty bucks. I used to have a Hai and when i blew it out in itlay i got this straightener . . . don't get it, it isn't half as good as the hai

I have a LOT of curly hair. When i decided to get a new straightener i went online and researched and found the Sedu straightner. I was going to get that but one of my friends had just recently purchesed the Corioliss and told me to get one so i went to the mall where they sold them. The lady there tried it on my hair and it looked amazing at the mall. I got home and noticed a BIG difference from the Corioliss and the Conair (what i had been using). But a couple months later i started realizing how long it took me to straighten my hair. I have meduim, a little longer than shoulder lengh hair and it is not supposed to take me that long but i did. I also noticed that by the end of the day my hair would be VERY wavy or if i slept on it it would be curly in the morning. If you have wavy hair thats not to thick than this is a pretty good straightner but if u have thick curly hair i would not recommend this!

i have had the pink corioliss for about a year. in the beginnig i liked it alot. but now all it does is make my hair frizzer and not that straight. do not buy.

This straightener works to straighten hair but hard to curl your hair. It dosen't even come with directions that tells you how to... how laim is that! After using this product i regret buying it!! no refunds

i bought it for christmas and about 3 months later i dropped it 1 time (not a hard fall) and the bottom piece just broke off! I got soooo mad and now im gettin a pick chi that must be better

dont get me wrong, i mean it does straighten...it just makes it frizzy...like REALLY frizzy. and damaged. i borrowed my moms...it doesnt work. however, i have also used (a long list, i know) conair ones (great, and cheap). chi (works GREAT!). paul mitchell (nice, pretty pricy...but worth it, however, do NOT wrap the cord around). ion wet to dry (just got it like the other day, but from what i can tell, great). and sedu (awesome, again, not one to wrap the cord around, tho). but this one just isnt good.

i have used this iron for 3 years and it has been incredible, my hair is think and extreamly wavy and it tames it to straight shiny beautiful and most of the time not very frizzy...it is extreamly light weight and i could not have lived without it for these past few years...its getting a bit and starting to smell a little if left on for a while. after using my friends irons i see how incredible mine is and whenever they come to my house the love to use it..the only issue i have with it is that it is very skinny which is desirable for some people and hair styles but for my long layers its easier to use a 2 inch...rather than a one inch...but even with this one inch iron i straighten my hair in less than an hour right out of the shower....it is a great product :)

I had a chi and it blew out when I plugged it into an adapter in Europe. My hairdresser talked me into getting the Corioliss Limited Edition Pink 1" Flat Iron. It was supposed to be better for my hair. I do not like the results. My hair is not as silky as with the chi. In Florida as soon as I walk out into the humidity my hair frizzes. I'm getting another chi.

i got myne from the austin,tx mall for $163; and it works really great the lady even curled my hair within 8-10 mins! and my hair is a little past my shoulders! it works great; but it takes alot of practice to learn how to curl it, i still dont know how exactly how she did it; but it also straightens really great!

I like this hair staightener because it is fast and easy whenever i use it i get like a billion complements!! But u shouldnt use it every day or it will damage and dry out your hair but any hair curler/straightener will do that. Nothing is perfect but this is pretty close!!
