MAY BE SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE CORIOLISS NEW FLAT IRON, BUT I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL I REACHED THE GOOD RESULTS.
YOU NEED TO PRACTICE. THE CORIOLISS IS THE BRAND NEW FLAT IRON IN THE MALLS NOW!!!
I DON'T REGRET IN GIVING TO MY MOM MY CONAIR-INFINITI STRAIGHTENER, WITH CORIOLISS IS MUCH LESS THE DAMAGE ON YOUR HAIR.

I just purchase the coriosliss pink 1" for my daughter at the Palisades Mall paid $140.00 however it does not work like they said it does or should, they don't refund your money. This is stiling,robbing the customors.

WARNING: Do not buy this product from a mall kiosk! The sales reps tell falsehoods regarding warranties, return policies, using on wet (damp) hair, etc! I tried to return this product w/in hours after realizing I had "STUPID" written across my forehead. I eventually involved the property manager of the mall, and was able to get the difference in kiosk and online price ($55) returned to me. Product gets way too hot, and damages thin, thick, color treated, non color treated hair...the list goes on. I denounce any so called "stylists" giving positive reviews for obvious reasons!

I bought these straighteners about a year and a half ago and after about a yaer they stopped heating so hot and stopped straightening by WAVY hair!!!
In my opinion these are awful and do not compete to GHD'S you would be FOOL to but these straighteners, they are a complete waste of money!!!
It works just Fine for me!

I think I bought this Flat iron back in 2005 in the mall of course. My hair was already straight, but I let the sales person test it on me anyway, and everything he did seemed to work. But, when I took it home and tried to do it myself, I obviously didn't know what I was doing because to me it didn't work.
Eventually I sat down and took section by section and took my time and did it properly, and my hair turned out great! Other reviewers are right, the light indicator does not let you know when the iron is ready to use, but the plates turn a deep pink color when they are hot if that will help anyone out. I still have my flat iron to this day, and I must say it is still hanging in there. I don't think anyone will be too dissappointed with this product if they use it properly!

Yes, I am a sucker for being pulled over in the mall and talked into purchasing things. Well, This iron was put to my head, and I was impressed. When I went home and tried to use it, I didn't know what I was doing, so to me... the product didn't work..
Fast Forward a year.... (this is how long I had it sitting in my dresser) I pulled the iron back out and decided to take my time and use it properly. And, I must say... It has not gone back into my dresser since. I can actually get my hair salon straight like I like it. I have very thick curly hair, and it works well at giving me the bone straight look I love!

Okay, so like many others, i first saw this straightener at the mall, at a kiosk and the lady was standing there offering to show me how it worked so i said what the heck sure! well she did a portion of my hair and it worked great! so i pleaded with my dad for this as a gift and he talked the lady down on the price a bit which was nice and so i got this as a gift in November of 2005. It is now almost November of 2007 and my straightener JUST broke!!! the light went out a month or so ago which wasnt a big deal but then this past month my straightener fell on the ground for the first time ever and the metal plate that gets hott came out of the part that it is incased in. but i just put a hair tie around it and it works still... but i am disappointed that i will just have to buy a new one! but it is well worth the money! BUT make sure you test it out at a kiosk if you can so that you KNOW it works on your hair or not! :D

My friend and I both purchased pink Corioliss at the mall kiosk and was told it was made with solid ceramic. The sales girl said solid ceramic causes the least amount of damage to hair. A couple of weeks later my friend said hers had a light scratch and now she could see metal under the pink. We called the store and spoke to the manager who said it was not solid and what we purchased was better for our hair. He gave me a little money back since I complained I spent $160. I used it from time to time and have been happy until 13 months later the plastic body which covers the end the cord is attached to is cracked. The mall kiosk is no longer in business for me to ask for an exchange and it is now a month past the one year warranty. I took great care of my flat iron and believe this is a defect. My next flat iron purchase will be a Chi or a lower priced flat iron.

In the beginning I was having hard time using it as the end was getting hot (part where you hold), so this is the only thing I did not like but other then that the product ROCKS!!!!!
I have naturally curly hair and I have to say that each time I use this straighner, it gives a professional stylist's look...so two thumbs up for the product.
It REALLY works!!!

Don't be discouraged about these other reviews. One of my best friends has this iron (and i just ordered one). I spent the night with her and it straightened my hair SO perfectly. It only took one swipe! And i have really thick hair. Also, that friend has African American hair and it straightens hers in one swipe too. My other friend has a CHI and it doesn't even work have as good as this one! :-) It works so buy it!!! :-)

I got this 2 weeks ago and I got it at the mall and the lady did it on my hair and it made my hair silky and smooth and soft and STRAIGHT. But my hairs easy to straighten so I wasnt that convinced. So i had the lady do my moms hair and my mom has really really curly frizzy hair and she CONSTANTLY colors it. I had the lady straighten my moms whole hair and I told her if it works on her head that I will buy it. IT WORKED my moms hair was straighter and softer than mine! I recommend this 100%!!

I got it April of 2006, now I'm getting the solia. My hair is mostly striaght it just curls up on the ends and has a little body. It would not always staighten it correctly and when I got it to it would go back in about 1 hour. I would always borrow my friends striaghtners to fix it because after awhile it got annoying. Then last week I threw it across my room and it slit in 2 so now I'm getting the solia

I saw it at first in the mall but I did'nt buy it cause it looked too good to be true. I just bought it two days ago in the mall and it's pretty ok. It's just that before I left the mall I really wanted to return it because I was having second thoughts. The service was abismal!!! When I told them that I was thinking of buying it they were so nice and then when I asked them to take it back they were such b***!!
If you are thinking of buying it then really think about it. The product itself is fine(I've only used it once). I just think Corioliss need a better return policy, or at the very least they need nicer employees.

I bought this from a mall cart and have regretted it. It is not adjustable and heats to 410. After just 3-4 uses my hair started breaking off. (I have easy to curl, fine, color-treated hair.) I also believe the salesperson made misrepresentations. She claimed the plates are 100% ceramic, and I think they are ceramic coated. She also said I could bring it back, but it turns out I can only exchange it. Don't impulse buy at the Mall like me. I am out $180 and have some seriously damaged hair.

i got the pink corioliss about a year ago cause my flat iron broke and i didn't want to order a chi, sedu or a solia cause i flat iron my hair EVERYDAY and i couldn't wait for it to be shipped to me. So i went to the mall to find a chi and the store that sold them closed, but as I was walking out of the mall I saw the corioliss kiosk. So i picked out the pink cause i thought it was cute and went home.
The flat iron works pretty well i mean i have really curly hair, and not the type that most people claim they have and their hair is acutally really thin but curly, mine is thick and curly and when not properly cared for it expands to 3x the width of my head...but back to the flat iron. it works very well, i mean it get my hair very straight and i get compliments about it, but i feel that you coud do better with a sedu or solia (which i haven't tried...just speculation)
i borrowed my friends's sedu and T3 for a touch ups, and both worked well but i don't know how they will work if i flat iron my hair from curly.
so in conclusion, i think that it is a great iron, it does the job and i get ery similar results from my hair dresser that uses a CHI, but i feel that other flat irons can work just as well or mayber better. i will also say i have never had and mechanical issues with the flat iron i even take i tin my suit case and i also have accidently dropped it (a bunch, but on carpet...so not that bad)
lastly, it is key that you used REALLY good products because it does greatly improve your results with ANY IRON you use.

I paid $180 for this a few months ago and I found out the $25 Revlon one works better! I have thick, curly hair, and it does not work at all.
It works for my friend who has wavy, thin hair, but I do not recommend for anyone with thick or curly hair.

the only thing we were told was that the end does not get hot.(the part you hold on to) well, it gets very very extremely hot! Tammi

i had spent the night @ my friend's house she had this pink straightener, i thought already its cool cause it's pink i happen to LOVE pink so yeah anyway, i took a shower let my hair dry then used this straightener and let me tell you! wow it make my hair perfect with just one swipe through my hair i was amazed! its the best out there you should def try it i'm going to ask for it for xmas!
