when you buy a hair straightener you really have to consider what type of hair you have and how your hair reacts to heat. this straightener works REALLY GOOD for my hair. i think its great. my hair is pretty wavy and curly naturally. semi thick not too much. anyways before i use it sometimes and after i wash my hair i use john Frieda frizz ease hair serum thermal protection. dont expect dry frzzy hair to work without some type of serum that helps protect your hair. and i put cocoa butter in my hair sometimes. anyways. its a good flat iron for me and depending on your hair and what you do with it and what u put it in will determine how well your results are.

i think when some girls read thes reviews, they need to consider their hair..and also, when some girls are trying out the product..are you using it correctly? some people use too much hair, some go too fast. you need to use small sections of hair, and go slooooooww... i have shoulder length very curly, somewhat thicker hair and it works fabulous for me. now let me tell you something else...
when the woman at the mall did my hair, i went outside to test it. it was very humid.( we live in FL) i sat in the car for 20 min becxause it wass raining but i wanted to get the real effects..see how this really held up. 20 minutes later..my hair was perfect. so i went back inside and tested it. my suggestion is you do the same if you are buying it from a mall or sales rep..have them straighten your hair, then go outside when its humid. im very happy with mine. i also dont color my hair, which is damaging, so if your doing other damaging things to your hair, maybe that also effects the way the iron works? but iknow im happy. heres a before and after pic. the pic of my hair curly is when it was still damp so keep that in mind.

My CHI was fizzling out - and so I tried to replace it with this pretty, pink Corioliss. In hindsight, I should have just forked out the extra $100 for another CHI.
The Corioliss is good, but not great.
I have two complaints.
1. I don't like the fact that it doesn't notify you when it is ready to use.
The red light comes on immediately when the iron is plugged in, and it stays on until it's unplugged...no notification (blinking light) when the iron is hot and ready to use.
2. More importantly, the straight smooth hair achieved by the iron does not last!
Using the CHI, I could literally use it once thoroughly on my hair, and not worry about it for the entire day, sometimes DAYS.
With the Corioliss, my hair begins to wave and frizz throughout the first day. The shape does not hold.
Even in humid atmospheres, the CHI kept my hair straight and smooth. With the Corioliss, it's a lost cause, I just go curly!
On a good note: the Corioliss is similar to my belived CHI in it's shape and size. It's easy to handle, and it's size makes it easy to pack when traveling as well.

This is a good hair straightener...when I first tried it. It really did straighten my thick, short, poofy hair and made it straight. It would've been better if it had a temperature setting because it does get too hot when left unattended and with just one touch of my skin from my arm...it left a scar. Other than the heating problems...it's an overall good hair straightener. In this my senior picture, I used my hair straightener...doesn't it look great ? ( ^ _ ^ )lol

I worked in a salon myself and was around good products for a very long time the chi was pretty common and I tried it and liked it however last dec I came across this IN A MALL and should never believe things in the mall they are usually a scam. I liked how the lady did my hair and I was pretty impressed do they have a secret method cuz when I was there she made my hair look so healthy ect ect but after even the first time I just noticed that my hair seemed to get more and more damaged I let it do since I dye my hair alot but now over the past year I realize that it is my flat iron ITS CAUSEING SOOOO MUCH DAMAGE TO MY Hair I would suggest you use a protector so your hair doesnt break off and look horrible! And for the girl that doesnt know how to curl I didnt for a while all you have to do is spin your hair around the flat iron or I grab the hair hold it upside down and start spinng it you'll start to get the effect but ne ways with it. I know you might not be able to tell but the first picture is recent and if you look closly maybe you can see the breakage the bottom picture was right before I purchased this flat iron maybe you can tell the difference in the health

My mother purchased this for us when the girls at my local mall tried it on her hair. My mum uses it and it works great for her hair, it turns out silky and smooth. When i straighten my hair, it's usually at night and I go to sleep and my hair is even smoother and flatter (don't ask me how). So I decided to use this and at first it looked amazing. When I woke up the next day, my hair had sooooo much static! It was also really frizzy! Even my $30 Remington does better. For the price, it isn't great.

When I tried this product out in the kiosks, i thought it worked well so I bought one. When I got home, I found smudges on the plates and did not even use it yet. The next couple of days I went back to exchange for a new one, you wouldn't believe how TERRIBLE customer service was here in the parks mall in arlington! They were outright rude to me and were angry with me just because I wanted an exchange. I told them about the smudges and how I did not use it yet, but they didn't believe me and told me to just get a cottonball to clean the smudges off.
I am still outraged and dissatisfied with this product! When I tried it out after I came home that day with a "decent" exchanged curling iron, I could hear and feel my hair being PULLED out from the curling iron. It did not curl my hair at all and worked like a cheap curling iron you could find in the drug stores.
NEVER AGAIN will I waste so much money at a kiosk!!!

i got this for christmas a year and a half ago but for about 9 of those months i didnt use it because i cut off my hair but now that it has grown out till about my shoulders i used it everyday but i have noticed it has gone down hill the last couple months; it's been snagging my hair, and it doesnt get as hot. i wouldnt say it is worth the full price but i got it at a bargin price. i would recommend the brand sedu or chi. i dont think you can go wrong.

just have 2 say i wood never ever recomend this flatiron or ne flatirons made by corioliss ive had 2 differant ones by this company and both of them the plates have melted off and has ruined my hair and 2 top it off they wont refund my money!

I love mine to death i have Really curly hair. And no other straightener leaves ur hair as soft and shiny as corioliss. even my friends went out and brought them and they also love them

I have to say, this is a vert great iron. EVen though, like most of you, i was stopped at the mall to and basically forced into getting it. I was amazed with it when i got home. The only thing is that there are no other heat settings. I also have a solia, and (i have really curly hair, but it's not really thick so it doesn't take that long to straighten) the solia takes less time to straighten than this one. I would recommend this iron though, to people who have really curly hair because the heat setting is pretty high and it would probably burn people with thin hair.
It's amazing. One of the best!

I have had this straightener for 3 years now and it's amazing.It's durable, it straightens my coarse and extremely curly hair perfectly. It took me about a year to really get the hang of it, but now everyone compliments my silky smooth hair. If you buy it it is worth your every penny. The only thing is that i wouldn't recommend it to people that have really thin hair due to the fact that there is only one heat setting and it can get pretty hot. This can burn your hair. And this is why i gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star, because i would like to have the flexibility of changing the heat settings. But either way, GET IT IT's AMAZING! <3

So i bought this at the mall 4 years ago. So i've had this flat iron for 4 years it was great at first but then i noticed my ends started splitting and it really damaged my hair. Im filipino but i have really thick wavy unmanagable hair. The cord also sucks it started ripping and It became so unsafe but i still used it. Also the flat iron started looking really nasty so I decided i had to buy a new one & I bought Sedu revolution here on folica.com

I have really curly hair but is really fine. I have had this flat iron since 2006 and it still works great and it doesnt break the ends off my hair. Before i had ths one it took me at least an hour to straighten my hair and now it takes me 30 minutes. This is great for someone like me.

WELL i bought this when it first came out a couple of years ago, for 200 dollars. NOT worthe the money. it burned my hair so bad, it also was starting to not heat up as quickly over time. today it just would not turn on i tried almost all the plugs in my house. NOPE. really i regret ever buying this, especially for that price. my hair is so damaged now and now i will be straightener-less for a good month to get enough money for a new one. overall not good.

My roommate has a Corioliss and I use hers sometimes. In my opinion, it's just average. The design and color are appealing, but it straightens like any other straightener, which is disappointing for the price you pay. There is no temperature adjustment either. If you are just doing a touch-up, you wouldn't want to use the same temperature as if you were straightening just after washing your hair. If you are going to pay that much for a straightener, go with a different brand.

I have really curly hair it’s hard for me to straighten out my own hair, but out of the five flat irons that I own this one works the best. I don’t need to pass the iron no more then two times. So from 40 minutes that it took me to do my hair I’m done in 15…. It works better then the CHI..

I bought this at a mall after they did my hair and i was amazed it worked magic the next day but then it started to burn my hair right off!! so i decided i would take it back because the lady told me it had a 2 year warenty so i show up at the mall where they were get there their stand was gone so i ask managers of stores around it and they say it only moved 2 days before and the lady working it said it was cuz there were to many returns!!! i mean r u freakin sereous!!!this is all crap if you are going to buy this product look at others first like the sedu its magic i have had it for a month!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY THING!!!!
