I bought this product from the Crabtree valley mall in Raleigh, USA. It worked great at first & I was promised that it would work anywhere in the world & I just needed an adapter for it!! Well the staff who were selling the product, particularly this girl called Gail made it almost too good to be true by throwing in the pouch & the hair styling spray for free. I should have known that when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is!! I might have used this product not more than 5 times & it just stopped working. Since I am in Australia now, I have no idea where to go for support or how to get this fixed. I would certainly not reccommend this to anyone else.
Excellent!

I absolutely LOVED my corioliss when I got it! Sadly, the cord has been ruined it no longer heats up, but to anyone looking to buy a flat iron this is definitely the right one for you. Not only does it straighten quickly and efficiently, but it lasts all day. No frizz, short time, definitely worth the money!
WOW!

I absolutelly love this straightener! I bought the same version @ the mall 6 monthes ago.. Unfortunetlly for me mine broke because of a dropping it way too many times mishab.. =] Otherwise though I cant live without it.. I used to buy the cheap 30 dollar straighteners @ Walgreens but after I got the Corioliss for Christmas I would hate to go back to those!! This straightener leaves your hair feeling soft && silky. It used to take me about 30-45 minutes to straighten my hair but with Corioliss it took me about 10-15 minutes a day! I love love love this straightener.. Im already buying a new one.. Once you buy this straightener you wont be able to live without it!!
I highly recomend it. It is deff. worth the price!!
i hate it

I bought a Corioliss flat iron at the mall about nine months ago. The product was great and really straightened my hair to a smooth, silky shine (my hair is very curly/frizzy). At first, it worked fine but recently, it has started to show signs of malfunctioning. It won't get hot sometimes. Or, once you have started using it and get halfway through straigtening your hair, it quits and you have to turn it off and hope it heats up again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT BUT WOULD BUY A CHI INSTEAD. They are just better period. I regret purchasing the corioliss iron and am buying a regular CHI and a WEE CHI since it's what my hairdresser always uses for perfect results when she does my hair. I have a great short style and it LASTS even in humidity when I get it done with the CHI. Don't know why I let the guy at the mall talk me into buying the other when I already knew that CHI flat irons are a better product. If they can last through multiple clients week after week and month after month at a salon, they are definitely the BEST BUY for an individual who is the only one using it. DUHHHHHHH!!!!! Just buy a CHI - or two, like me - they are so totally worth it.
worst straightner ever

i bought this straightner from a store in the mall. WORST DECISION EVER. i have REALLY THICK CURLY HAIR. i mean REALLY thick hair. i went home to use it and it would NOT straighten my hair. my hair was wavy and poofy 5 minutes after i was done. BELIEVE ME.
and this straightner doesnt stay hot enough for my type of hair.
so DONT GET THIS STRAiGHTNER if you have really thick curly hair. TRUST ME. :)

It breaks your hair because it gets stuck in-between the iron plates and the plastic. It straightens okay besides that but the straightness wears off after like a few hours. It also seems not to work as fast as it gets older. I would recommend a different straightener.

I bought 1 of these at the mall a little over a year ago after the saleswoman tried a piece of my hair and told me I could straighten my head in about 20 mintutes. I had a Hot Tools straightener before and my $20 straightner works 50x better than this. My hairdresser also told me that it looks like its pulling out my hair and one of the plates fell apart today. DO NOT INVEST!
LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

I bought this model about a year ago at my local mall. I really didn't want anyone to show me how "wonderful" this product was at the time, but I said "What the heck, ok" I was really impressed with the way it quickly straightened my thick, wavy curly, often frizzy hair. I already had another less expensive flat iron that worked decent that I had spend almost $50 for at a local beauty store, so I was very apprehensive about buying another one. Well let me tell you that it was the best 100 bucks that I have ever spent. It works so much better than any other flat iron I have ever used. My hair lasts for days. (at this point I need to wash my hair because it's dirty, not because it goes curly) I live in South Florida where it's ALWAYS humid and I am in and out of my car all day long for work. I have been rained on and it still looks good. My only regret is that I didn't buy this product years ago! I used to spend over an hour blowing out my hair or paying someone $30 to get my hair done. Who cares if some people say it doesn't last forever. I don't use my flat iron all the time like some do though. Sometimes I like to wear my hair curly. I feel that in the end it's well worth the money and saves you from having to pay extra money at the salon for a blowout. This is not a Rolex watch. Use it, enjoy it and if you have to replace it after hours and hours of use buy a new one. My friend had a CHI that she eventually had to replace after hours of use too. Eventually these things will burn out. Mine is still going strong after one year though. I recommend this Coriliss to everyone I meet. As far as breakage, my hair is healthy with no breakage. ALWAYS use a protective silicone spray/serum when using any flat iron. It not only protects your hair but it makes it easier to straighten and leaves your hair shiny and silky. Good luck!
I Agree- Only Lasted One Year

I bought this item similar to how others did- I was at the mall and they did my hair and I was happy with it so I invested in this item. And it worked great for the first year or so. Then it would not get as hot as before. And now, about two years later it has stopped working altogether. Best to invest your money in something that will last.

i bought this about a year and a half ago at the mall. The first time i used it, i thought it was the greatest thing ever. little did i know that it was gonna stop heating up correctly just after having it 2 months. it doesnt protect against humidity at all. and after i had used it a couple of months, i started losing hair. like it pulled it out and burned it off! i really dont recommend this to anyone, it will only work for like 2 months and then it stops working. I bought this straightener at the mall for $150 and i didnt have a warranty.
It only lasted a year

at first i was amazed and i loved curling and straightening but one day i found a glob of gunk that burnt and stuck to one side of the iron plate. i dont know what it is but a few months later it just stopped getting hot. it did also damage my hair alot. i dont recommend this cause your better off adding more money and investing in a sedu which i will be buying soon. oh yeah and i wasted $100 !

I felt bad spending so much money on a hair product ($80 at the mall- salesman gave me a discount for being Italian), but it works so much better than anything else I've ever tried. I have wavy, poofy Italian hair and it cured all the problems I've been having for years. My hair looks great and I love it! I use it every day. I was concerned with my hair drying out so I make sure I use a deep conditioner and my stylist also recommended a hair syrum because it can cause breakage- but so can any other straitener or curling tool. Also- always wait until your hair is dry to use it, or you'll only end up with a frizzy mess. I believe they have a new model now that you can use on wet hair. Otherwise.. awesome product!

ok so it was christmas time and we were at the mall and they asked if they could do my hair. i said yes and i was very impressed with the end result. we bought the corioliss for $104. it worked fine until about 3 months later. my hair started falling out and splitting at the ends and just frizzing like you cant even imagine. i cant go anywhere with out doing something with my unruly hair. do not buy this straightner its a piece of crap!!!! i think when they test your hair they actually have a chi with their name on it! my hiar is an afro now and it cant get fixed! im going to go by the chi its worth the money totally
One of the best ever !!

Corioliss 1" Flat Iron Lasted Only 1 Yeart

I purchased my first flat iron in a mall December, 2006. I thought it was the best thing ever invented. It was a Corioliss 1" Ceramic Flat Iron. About 9 months after using it, only 1-2 times per week, it started to come apart where it is joined near the plug. I was able to put it back together every time it became loose until 2 weeks ago when I turn it on I heard a loud pop sound, saw a spark come off the unit. It also caused the fuse for the electrical plug in our bathroom to turn off. Needless to say I threw the flat iron away. I spent too much money for this unit to last only 1 year. I read a few reviews about this same product on the folica website and read that the same thing happend to a few other customers. Instead of purchasing another Corioliss, I purchased another flat iron via folica.com that received a lot of great reviews.
