Better than the Chi

I bought two flat irons. I can honestly say that the Coriollis is easier to use since the handle is longer and it is much faster in terms of heating up to its maximum temperature. I think the Chi is overhyped and overrated. I bought the Coriollis on ebay for the bargain price of $24.99 and boy what a steal of a deal...I bought the Chi flat iron for around $70.00 on ebay and even though it does the job, the Coriollis is easier to use...I would recommend you do your research first since not all flat irons are the same. Given the fact that manufacturers know the women will spend oodles of money on looking good, I can say that Coriollis works better than Chi...like any product, flat irons should be treated with care so that they do not get damamged.

Don't waste your money on a Corioliss...I bought mine in a mall. I took it overseas, and even though they said it was multi-voltage and can be used world wide with the proper adapter mine messed up...only the handles would heat up not the plates....I took it back for an exchange, and then ended up exchanging 3 more (they all had shorts in them, and would not stay on....now I'm on number 4...get right mad slam it down, and break the plates!!! It was worth it to me though...now I will finally end up with a great product, after much research, I have now ordered a Sedu!!
really good!!!

I got this hair straightener at the mall last week at the mall. I brought it Home and used it. It work pretty good. The only thing is that it took awhile, but I understand that being that my hair is extremly curly and puffy. So If you have hair like mine I would advise you to buy this straightener, BECAUSE IT WORKS!
Love it!

I just got mine for Christmas and love it! I have easy hair to work with (naturally straight and midly thick) and I wanted one to curl my hair rather than straighten it... and it looked great after I used it! I still have to get the hang of it but it was easy to use, quick (heats up in seconds)and I didn't have to use hairspray to get my hair to stay curled.

I use to want a CHI until my cousin starightened my hair with the corioliss, i absolutly love it. My hair is the kind that curls from the roots and takes hours to straighten.
I straightened my hair with this in only 20 minutes. First time throught straighten awesome.
i love thisss!
Not bad on a budget but if you got the cash invest in something else

It got too hot when I first used it to straighten my naturally thick, coarse, african-american kinky hair and it would leave burnt areas. After three uses at the lowest setting finally the iron cooled off to be usable and straighten hair with out burning. Been two years and it still works but my stylist began using a chi and I'm almost sold but I keep hearing they break. Also this nasty gook has developed on the sides that smells and makes my hair smell, also I am unable to revert back to my natural texture I beleive it has damaged my hair a great deal. So I wouldn't reccommend if you desire to wear your natural texture occassionally
Pulls out hair!!

This flat iron does well as far as actually straightening, but it snags the heck out of your hair! You literally cannot run it down a strip of hair or you'll be missing a clump. I'm seriously disappointed and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
Ok for Straighting, but is not for curling...

I got my at the mall thinking it was the best one that did curling and everything. But I realized after a year that my hair straightner was not performing as well as I was hoping. I would watch others people demostrate how well the Sedu, CHI and GHD. I think it will do great for straighting, but curling and stuff is not what it is meant for. I would say also that this straightner will pulls your hair, just a lil. But it is ok, but I would buy something better and do your research first.....
Works pretty well

I have this Iron and it works pretty good. I have wavy, frizzy hair and it does it's job. I also previously owned a chi and that one did work better. It took more of the frizz out of my hair, but it burned it more. So it is pretty much what you prefer. This flat iron works very well on my hair. It doesn't leave it board straight, but it gets the job done. It all depends on your preference. What I like about this flat Iron is that it definetly doesn't burn your hair as much. I am satisfied with it.
Got my money's worth!

I have had the pink limited edition Corioliss for a little over 2 years now... I absolutely got my money's worth... This straightner works wonders! I live in south east Louisiana where it is about 85% humidity 24/7. I never had a single problem with humidity while using this straightner. I have fine/curly hair that is mid-back length. This straightner definately did its job and then some. My Corioliss has finally stopped working =( Hair straightners seem to have a short life expectancy and 2 years of straightner life is pretty good. The swivel cord on mine started to short out... I never had any heating up problems or hair damage. Overall, this straightner was worth every penny. I think I am going to try the Solia 1 1/4" next. Hope this review is helpful =)

I bought two at a mall in Honolulu. They both quit working right in a couple of days. I sent them back by mail on a Tuesday and had them back on Thur. Good turnaround. I love this so far- best flat iron I've ever had- better than the Chi and Solia.
It straightens my hair without product- but it won't stay straight if it's rainy. With Silk Therapy and Heat Sauce it stays straight for days even in the wind and rain. Amazing.
Hope it lasts.
awesome!

PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE, DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE INVESTING IN A FLAT IRON THEY TEND TO BE PRETTY EXPENSIVE SO YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE TO BUY THE RIGHT ONE THE FIRST TIME.
Purchased this flat iron at the mall thinking it would be a good investment. My hair is naturally staight thick and heavy and I like to have that just out of the salon look. However I found I would have to run it over the same section of hair about 6-7 times probably because it just doesn't get hot enough. And you don't get that healthy shine and dead straight look. I borrowed my friend's flat iron and hers worked great. It got hotter thusstraightening my hair a lot faster.
Hope this was useful.
Best I've used!!

My daughters and I were visiting Dallas, Texas. We went to the Collin Creek Mall in Plano and watched a demostration of this flat iron, my yougest daughter has super tight curly, fuzzy hair and they used her to demostrate the hot iron. It was amazing. That was over a year ago and I have been searching for another one and found this website. I will be ordering another one for my oldest daughter because she will be going away to college soon. They can't survive without it!!! The transformation in my yougest daughters hair was unbelieveable. It is so shiney, smooth, and actually can be done in a style. This has been the best ego boost ever!!!!

This is the worst product that I have ever spent over a 100.00 on! I was also convinced in the mall and was highly disappointed when I brought it home. Does not stay hot and is just a big waste of money. Sadly I am sure these people know about the reported problems and apparently they still sleep well at night knowing they took a innocent person's money like that. Dont even consider buying this horrible bogus product. I don't think they are even really using the one to demostrate as the same they really sell you. And no refund!
it's awesome

my roomate bought this product at West Edmonton Mall(180+tax) and it worked great but i kept putting it off buying one because i had a cheap one that worked great..and still does..then my best friend(100+tax) and another girl(125+tax) i went to high school with both bought this product at the same location in west ed and they both loved it so i figured what the hell..the only prob was it was retailed for 200+tax but i knew you could get deals on it (as shown above)so i researched it a little an found it here for 90+tax, so i bought it and have had it for about two months now and i love it! it heats up fast and just as well as it did the day i got it, my hair is in the same condition it was to start..the only flaw i can think of is its hard to use when u wanna curl...but im a little obtuse when it comes to that. I would recommend this product to everyone. its amazing
Metal plate under all that pink "ceramic"

I of couse purchased this flatiron at a mall about a year ago and was wowed by the lady who pulled me aside to show me I could get my kinky curls straight in just on pass of the iron. I loved the result and plopped down the cash. Now don't get me wrong it worked wonderfully for the entire year until the "paint' or whatever started flaking off the iron and metal was underneath!! What's worse is I didn't even notice that there was bare metal until I had used it serveral times!! Luckily, no damage to my hair, but I think that's because I use alot of heat protecting product. I will not buy this procuct again EVER and am irritated I got suckered into thinking it was really ceramic. Bottom line: Don't believe the hype.
Fairly decent straightener, but should be in a lower price range.

I bought this straightener after someone demonstrated its effects on my thick, slightly wavy hair at the mall. I was impressed by the quick heating time as well as its ability to both straighten and curl hair. However, this straightener's quality deteriorates with age. I've had it for two years now, and for the last six months or so, I've found that it does not reach as high of a temperature as it used to. Additionally, it takes longer to heat up. The straightener no longer straightens as well, leaving my hair frizzy and coarse instead of smooth and shiny. I discourage anyone from choosing the Corioliss unless they don't mind replacing their straightener every year.
Better than the Wack

It was a stretch for my money. I purchased it in the mall for about $100 (they will go as low as $80). I am happy and have been since I've brought it home. It straightens very well. I am black so my hair was used to a double heat process: a straitening and a curling. I now do them at the same time. If I want it straiter for an extended period or for a party, I straiten with it first and then bend or curl.
For those complaining about the time your hair lasts - your hair maybe a lil wild and needs a bit of product. I can use it without product but my hair last much longer with it. It stays pretty hot but I do notice with bad sockets that it does lose some temp.
I like that I can spiral with it but I'd like to have a smaller size for my sorter hair.
There is prob a better flat iron but this is a major upgrade from a hot tools or a conair!!
