The Best I've had so far...

I bought this straightener a year ago from the kiosk in the mall. Do not fooled by those cheesy those salespersons because the product is pretty amazing!
I've been through a lot of straighteners (especially the chi) and this is by far the best to use against humidity. It's also a great curler.
The cons: It starts to smell really bad after using it multiple times, but what straightener doesn't?? Also the plates will start to discolor if you use certain products in your hair...it turned that way when I was using the CHI Iron Guard spray.
Overall the product is very good. Highly recommended. I also suggest getting a Hai. That's what I'll be getting soon. :)
awesome iron

I have had this iron for 3 years & it still works GREAT. I have EXTREMELY thick coarse hair, & this Iron does not leave my hair smelling funky, it is soft & I have no frizz issues on humid days either. You can take rubbing alcohol & clean it. If its not working the best for you try cleaning it. & also make sure you use a GOOD hair conditioner too. It will make all the difference as well. this is what the consultants told me at the mall when I bought it. I like how it is ceramic through & through. They bought a Chi & broke it & also broke one of their own to show the public the difference. The chi's were ceramic on top but underneath they were metal, they are not 100% ceramic like these. & the ceramic is what makes it better for your hair. less frizz, more shine etc . .. but also your conditioner & keeping the iron clean does make a difference. I have NO complaints, this is an AWESOME flat iron. & I can curl my hair with it too, & flip my hair . . . LoVE IT. & I was told by the people that sold it to me I can return it ANYTIME that it has a lifetime warranty on it. even if I purposely broke it they would replace it for free.
Just bought a hot pink corioliss flat iron online it is great.

ok so i bought this straightener about 1 year ago and it works really good on curly hair! but the only thing that i hated about it was that it does damage your hair ALOT! and the people might say that it doesn't but it does! and it also makes your hair smell kinda burnt, so if you do buy this, i recommend you using a perfume kinda spray to spray on your hair so that it doesnt smell. so i do recommend it but you have to use alot of heat protectant spray or else your hair gets fried! thx for reading! (:

this straightener works extremely well when you first get it, but after a while it just starts killing your hair and pulling it out. i wouldn't recommend it.
The best flat iron ever!

I recently stopped using perms in hair so now I just straighten it with flat irons. I have had these ceramics for a year now and I love them. It straightens my hair better than any other ceramics I have used. It looks just as good as when I chemically processed my hair. I even have my sister using them. Now she is always borrowing mines... lol! Not only can I do straightening, but I can use them for big curls as well..
best straightener i have used!

honestly, i read the bad reviews and i just don't see it. I have had mine for 3 years and i LOVE it. It doesn't make my hair smell bad at all. When you straighten the ends of your hair, of course you're going to get split ends with any flat iron because the pressure and heat on the weaker part of your hair. Mine works amazingly, if you know how to straighten hair this is the perfect iron, I use mine everyday and i have thick, wavy, frizzy hair. It leaves my hair shiny and straight. It was worth my money and when i need a new one i will most definitely buy a corioliss again!
Will buy this again

I have had my iron for over 7 years and just now the lights is flickering. My hair is quite coarse and this (plus a little smoothing product) make my hair soft and silky straight. I will be buying a new one soon!
fault iron.

This was the first iron I bought outside of a drugstore, and honestly I wasn't that impressed. I have long wavy hair and this flat iron straightened it no better than ones I purchased at the local Rite Aid. Also, it's suppossed to heat up in a matter of seconds - more like 15 minutes.
However, it did last me for a little over 2 years and the protection of my hair was treated better when using this iron; although I did recieve a few split ends.
It's a decent iron, it's just not all it's cracked up to be.
Not great

I bought this iron one year ago and it was the best thing EVER. However, after using it for a few months it left my hair with so many spit ends i had to cut it twice in one month!!! If you have strong hair then it will be your best friend but if you have weak curly hair you will suffer like i did.
It works but kills your hair

I to bought this product in the mall. They were trying to get 300 dollars for it with a year membership card to get your hair done by them for free. This product works but seriously you can just touch your ends after and it all falls in your hands. I to had to cut my hair short bc of the damage it does. I used to own a hot tools one for 40 dollars and was so much better. Honestly trust me not worth it. Straight hair but looks brittle
Great Straightener

I've tried a lot of straighteners, the CHI, Hai, Sedu, Paul Mitchell, and the ion, and out of all of them I would have to say that this is the best flat iron. The plates are solid ceramic and leave my hair soooo shiny, smooth, and soft... and this is even at the lowest, yes, the lowest setting. I was weary about buying this iron after reading these reviews, but I was in for a pleasant surprise.
absolutly amazing.

okay. i got this straightener at least 4 years ago and it is the best thing that walked into my life. i have really really long kinky curly frizzy hair and this product get my hair so straight and smooth with out friz and it cuts the time in half compared to a chi or any product like that. who ever says that it not worth it. they arent worth it. because its absolutly amazing and i dont know what i would do with out it. people who hate must not know how to straighten their hair the proper way. ive been straighten my hair since i was about 8 years old and this is the best straightener that i hav ever owned and i owned many. please ignor anyones review saying this was a mistake because it is worth every penny. you will love it as long as you know how to straighten your hair the correct way and it doesnt pull or rip your hair. ive had it for about 4 years and my hair is perfectly fine. if you want silky beautiful hair then you've found your product. =]
i hate i9t

i had my flat iron for a couple of years and it sucks.
once you straighten your hair and then walk out into the humidity it looks like you didnt even flat iron your hair.
the spring breaks easily and it takes forever to work.
it drys out your hair and gives you split ends faster.
bottom line- this flat iron is crappy.i would recomend the
paul mitchell one or a CHI
i like it

I bought this straightener less than a year ago and loved how well it straightened my extremely curly and frizzy hair. I had bought many other cheaper straighteners, none of which had worked as well. However, this straightener, which was promised to heat up in less than ten seconds now takes more like ten minutes to heat up to the desired temperature and i have only had it for a few months. It makes my hair smell burnt and has given me the worst split ends imaginable. Besides this, i recently went out of the country and used the straightener with a voltage converter but it would not work. The handles would get hot but the plates would not heat up. Though i thought it was a problem with the adaptor, i had another amika straightener that would actually heat up, so i knew it was a problem with the corioliss. I asumed that when back in the United States, the straightener would work again, yet even after leaving it plugged in for twenty minutes, the plates would not heat up. So, i am left with frizzy hair, a broken straightener, and one hundred dollars less in my bank account.
Amazing!

I'm reading these reviews and I don't get it. My hair is reallyyy curly and thick and extremley long. I used the CHI since I was a sophmore in high school and it worked wonders but after a while it started to lose it's heat and hold. I used my cousin's product while I was in Florida, where it's obviously hot and humid, and it was amazing. My hair came out pin straight and shiny. It does pull the hair a little but I'm soo used to that. I think the people who wrote it doesn't straighten as well don't know how to straighten hair. Everyone says my hair looks naturally straight when I use this product.
ok, but there's better stuff out there

I used Corioliss for almost one year and just changed for a Sedu. Here's my opinion...
Positive sides : easy to use, great design, gets hot really fast, and for many months it works to curl or straighten (way better than cheap irons from the drugstore like Conair!)
Negative sides : Really breaks the hair and gives split ends (and I was using a heat protectant)...its the main reason why I changed for a Sedu, couldn't let my hair grow because of that.
If you have 20$ more (Sedu 1"), don't hesitate and get the Sedu!
don't waste the money.

I bought one of these off of ebay (30 dollars with shipping). They had their lil' stand in the mall and a friend had one. Her hair always seemed to look awesome, so i thought i would get one. also considering i had been through about 6 different starighteners at the time. At first it worked pretty good. Buuut when i tried to make my hair flip out, i would always burn my fingers on the plates. The outside of the plates actually gets pretty hot too, so i never wanted to touch it because it was too hot. After a few months, i found it just didn't heat up as good and i stopped using it. Also the groves on it get sooo dirty! And its a complete pain to clean them out. Overall i think it is a waste of money. Currently i am looking into getting a chi. i have used my friends many times and have never heard any complaints from ANY of them. On folica.com you can get a chi for the same price as this one. so click on over to the chi!! I would recomend it to anyone! Never had it snag my hair, it stays straight smooth and silky for days!!! the only reason i wash it every other day is because my hair gets really oily, otherwise, it would still look fabulous. And let me add that i have VERY thick hair. when i let it go natural its a mess! it looks frizzy and a bit poofy. My best hair days have always been when ive used a chi, so my money is going with them. Hope you've found me helpfull!
This is great.

Ok, I have read some of the bad reviews and most of them are because of the hair type of the user or the climate the user lives in. When buying an iron you have to take these things into consideration. I live in Kansas where the weather could change at the drop of a hat, and have very thick hair. This iron is the only one I have been able to find that has both quality and consistent heat. I would recommend it to anyone!
