yes. when the red light is on that means the iron is heating up. when it turns off its ready to use. the light tends to turn on a few times but thats just because its trying to keep the tempature that you set it on

Corioloss vs. Sedu
Which straightner is better!?I have the corioloss and I don't really like it much, but I'm afraid if I get the Sedu it won't be any better... I live where it gets like SUPER humid over half of the year and as soon as I walk outside [after straightening my hair w/ the corioloss] it's wavy again. I have pretty thick and curly hair.

the black one is the basic..the pink one is..well pink..my roomate had that one and it works the same as my black one and as for the other one..its got blue ceramic plates or something..its supposed to be of a better quality ceramic and have a higher ion count which is what apparently makes ur hair smooth and shiny. the black one works great tho and i have long thick slightly coarse hair

Corioliss vs. Solia
I've had my solia for about 2 years and it works great. I am looking to buy another straightener as a backup but I was wondering if the corioliss is even better. The salesclerk for the corioliss straightener say that in time the solia will damage my hair and the corioliss will not. Is this true? I don't want to spend more than a solia straightener if it is not worth it. Please help!!!!

No!! I've had the corioliss for a year now and it completely damaged my hair! Don't listen to the salesclerks, they told me the same thing and now I have dry and ruined hair! It is definitely NOT worth it

honestly the straightener itself is great but as for how much damage you get from straightener to straightner..that all depends on your actualy hair. some people have naturally fine hair while others have coarse hair. no type of heating product is good for your hair so i recommend a decent moisturizing conditioner and some form of serum or spray that protects your hair from heat..

I have been using a Chi for 1 1/2 years and love it. Last night I bought a Corioliss at Northpark Mall because they said it is 100% ceramic and won't damage mine or my daughter's hair. They said that the Chi really isn't 100% ceramic so it will damage our hair. If you can find a hairstylist who will go to a beauty supply store and buy a Chi for you, you will be spending between $90 and $100 but it will be a good expense. I used the Corioliss last night and again this morning and am NOT impressed at all.

I want that bounce hair back
I am an African Americal woman and I bought the Black Corioliss at the mall. When the sales woman did my hair it looked great and I went home and used it and I loved the bounce, shine and look that it gave my hair. Now it has been two weeks and I pulled out my Black Corioliss (the slim one) and my hair does not get that same bounce and it doesn't even have that great straight look to it anymore. I don't know what to do. Do I need to wash my hair and strip it from all the oil that I sprayed on my hair? Also do I need to apply any protectant spray to it and if so what do you recommend? Please help, I am starting to feel like I waisted my money but I know it works because the sales woman did it and it looked geat!

HI! The first thing you need to do is wash the hair from all the oils. Oils and heat do not go well toguether. After you wash it use a silicon serum no additives such as oil or perfumes. Then try again, if after this procedure you still do not get the same results go back to the mall for extra feed back...perhaps they can show you how to do the curls one more time.

If it has been two weeks, of course you need to wash your hair. You likely have a buildup of natural oils. I am an african american woman with natural hair, and I love this tool!! My hair is bouncing and flowing when I use it. All I use is the Corioliss and IC Hair polisher with heat protectant(from Walmart for about $7) to protect my hair from the hight temps. I don't recommend any other products, especially hair oil.
