No the CHI is the best of the best not a crappy conair one

will this flat iron damage my hair?
i already have kind of dead hair, so i am looking for a flat iron that will straighten my hair but make it look and actually be healthy. right now i am using an iron that badly damages my hair so i hope this one is nothing like that?

well, this straighener has tourmaline in it, so it's not going to dry your hair out. this straightener is actually one of the best i've had. also, before you straigten yur hair put a straightening product in your hair. i suggest any Rusk product, which is a brand by Conair .. Hope this helped =)
