Product Rating: 3 Supposed to be quiet
Reviewer: M. Keen   Sat Feb 09 2008

I bought this travel styler because it was purported to be quiet. Although it was quieter than a regular one, it was not nearly as quiet as the Vidal Sassoon Quiet Styler and the Vidal Sassoon Quiet Traveler I'd purchased a few years ago. I couldn't find those. I returned the Conair and found one that was somewhat quieter, though still not as quiet as the Sassoons. (I don't recall what brand it was and I am not able to look to see -- a brand I never heard of.)

Product Rating: 4 better in the US, but still a good dryer
Reviewer: Audrey   Wed Aug 01 2007

I live in the US. I bought this because I was going on a trip to the UK, and also needed a good new hairdryer. I tried it out first at home (US) and couldn't believe how quickly it dried my hair (thick and medium-long). My only complaint about that is that they advertise four heat/speed settings, when actually there are two speed settings (lo & hi) and a "cool shot" button. But it's a good dryer nonetheless.

Now, to use it in the UK, you need an ADAPTOR plug, but NOT a voltage convertor - you can use a screwdriver or knife or something to turn the switch to 250V instead of 120V, or however much it is. HOwever, you are not supposed to use the "hi" setting in the UK - you just turn it to "lo" and it works like "hi" in the US. Dries your hair VERY quickly, but it does get pretty hot on "hi." The one problem is that the "off" and "hi" settings are half an inch apart, so sometimes when you turn the dryer off you accidentally hit "hi." This doesn't seem to be a big problem as it hasn't melted or burned or stopped working, but I do think it could be better designed. Overall, though, it was gloriously cheap for how well it dries my hair, and I'm glad I can use it overseas as well.

Product Rating: 3 Fine for 20 bucks.

It's a decent dryer. Good value for money, especially if you travel internationally. The voltage switch is a little deceiving. I accidentally switched it to the incorrect voltage because I couldn't see the tiny arrow pointing.

Product Rating: 3 Dryer was not what I was looking for.
Reviewer: Lynn Homan   Thu Mar 01 2007

The dryer was very nice, but I didn't like the size. I was hoping for a smaller dryer, so I did return it to the company. But the service was very good. It was here in know time and I really appreciated that.

I would recommend this product based on performance and price. My hair looks nice and dry, it does fit comforbably in my hand and dual voltage is a really nice touch!

Product Rating: 5 A great deal
Reviewer: Molly from Cambridge, MA  Tue Jan 10 2006

I bought this after breaking my Super Solano, and I like it better! The very slight difference in power (I didn't have the most powerful Solano) is well worth the price and weight differences. My arm no longer gets tired just trying to do my hair. My hair is dry in seconds, though it is both short and fine. I will definitely buy this again if this one ever breaks.

Product Rating: 5 More than I expected

I read the reviews about the hot tools travel dryer and was tempted, but I liked that the conair was 1900 motor size and well, the price was better. I love this hair dryer. I used to use a huge, heavy, metal conair dryer that left my hair looking dry and frizzy for at least 12 hours after drying and it took 45 min to dry. My new euro conair dryer takes only 10 min to dry and I can actually blow and go - my hair looks great, shiny. It is also light weight. I was concerned when I saw the heat setting was set and I could only choose low or high, but the heat is perfect, not too hot, and not too cool. And it does have the cool shot button. I also loved that I can use this dryer world wide.

Only complaint, no collapsible handle - oh well :) The price was right!

PS- I have naturally curly hair and it takes no effort to dry it straight. Love it! My husband likes it too.
