The website/box/instructions all say that there are "four speed/heat settings" on the dryer, but all I see is a switch that goes to off, low, or high, and the cool shot button. Am I missing something about how to use two other settings? (Or are they just pretending that "cool shot" plus lo or hi equals two more heat settings?) Question posted by Audrey Wed Jun 27 2007 Submit your answer Plug
Is this a two prong plug like used in through out Europe or a three prong plug like used in the UK? I am a bit confused about how you do not need a converter/adaptor. Thanks! Question posted by Sarah Sun Jun 24 2007 Submit your answer | Reply by Audrey

It's a two prong plug (looks like the ones you use in the US). There's a switch to convert the dryer from 110-125 voltage to 220-250 voltage, so you don't need a voltage convertor. However, the instructions do say "a plug adaptor may be necessary in certain countries," so you'll need the adaptor to plug it into the wall in the UK. That's where I'm going, so I'll write a review once I use it there with my plug adaptor! | | Reply by Audrey

Can this dryer be used on a cruise ship? They say up to 1500 watts. I need a dryer that I can attach a diffuser. Question posted by Shelley Sun May 07 2006 Submit your answer concentrator nozzle, need for outlet convertor
Does the concentrator nozzle have a very narrow opening or a wider opening? I would prefer a very narrow openingALthough it is dual voltage, you still need a plug adaptor to fit European plugs, correct? Question posted by susan derby Sat Mar 25 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Audrey

It's narrow and flat - it looks like the attachment in this picture: http://www.folica.com/Hair_Made_The_H_d1542.html
It has American 2-pronged plugs on it, so you will need an adaptor (but not a voltage converter) to plug it in overseas. | 240v UK???
Heading to England this summer... and wanted to buy a hairdryer that would work over there without an adapter. I've burnt out a couple of them in the past.Anyone have any success with this dryer? Question posted by Nikki Wed Mar 22 2006 Submit your answer Use in Europe
I am traveling to Italy in the fall and looking for a good hair dryer. This one says that is has a universal adapter and I was wondering if you could provide me more information. Last year when I was in Italy I used a hairdryer with a adapter and the power was just not right and it made a funny sound. Do I need to use an additional adapter with this hair dryer?
