Product Rating: 1 Don't waste your money!!!!
Reviewer: Kelly Anderson from Saxonburg, PA (near Pittsburgh)  Fri Aug 08 2008

This is one of the worst straight irons ever. I wish I could return it!! I wasted my money and my time. Hair gets caught in the plates and pulls it out. You cannot staighten or wave hair with this piece of junk. I am a professional and I have tried a lot of different irons. You definitley get less than what you paid for with this iron. Thumbs way down on this one!

After about five to ten times using it, my wife just had this curling iron arc and short circuit to the point it was smoking. I took it apart because I always like to check out why something like this happened. There are two barely insulated wires that go to the heating elements throught the hinge. The insulation got pinched in the hinge and cut the insulation off. It ridiculous they don't have a sleeve or channel for these wires to move freely.

yeah, I have thick curly hair, and this product does absolutly nothing for me.

I did not purchase this item, but my friend has it- she allowed me to borrow it, but it only made my hair poofy.

I would not recommend it.

wow! this is the worstttt straightener i have ever used ! i have thick shoulder legnth hair so usually it takes me 45 minutes to do a good job straighteneing my hair. This ones took me 2 hours and it came out horrible ! Instead of straight hair, it was veryy poofy and frizzy. I had to re-wash my hair and blow-dry it to atleast leave the house looking half-decent! DO NO BUY !!

OMG!!!! it is the worst flat iron i've ever used!! I have natural straight hair but I wanted to buy just a cheep priced flat iron so I could straight it in the morning when I had bad hair days and it made my hair all frizzy and puffy! Everyone at work was asking me what happened to my hair!!! ConairPRO!!! Ya right!!!!

I'm a freshman in High School too. This model was not designed for thick hair and honestly for the price did you expect it to be too spectacular? If you are going to use a straightener everyday splurge and purchase one that caters more to your individual needs. I myself have babyfine hair but a lot of it and it doesn't fry my hair but I do prefer some of my other ones for longer results.

I bought this almost a year ago and it works fine for me. I have really long, thick, curly hair and it only takes me about 30 minutes to do. It heats up quick but I would still recommend straightening when hair is dry. Straightening in layers is easier and less time consuming.

Product Rating: 1 It made my hair wavyer

i am a 14 year old in high school, and i have wavy, thick hair. This is the first straightner i bought and it sucks. its crap and it takes me about 10 minutes for one chunk of my hair to even begin to resemble straight. it takes a long time and it is not even a good straightener! dont buy it!

Product Rating: 1 HORRIBLE!!! THE WORST EVER
Reviewer: Madeliene   Fri Jan 07 2005

i purchased this iron about 3 months ago and i was sooo disappointed. it pratically RIPS my hair out. it has no on a off switch, and the size of the iron itself is so small it would take you forever to straighten your hair. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Reviewer: Morgan   Tue Dec 28 2004

This thing is horrible, and we all should know this, because...duh!...its a Conair! My hair is very, very, curly and thick and frizzy...but, u no...with my other straighteners that i've owned i've been able 2 straighten my hair in a matter of abou 45 mins. , well, not with this 1! it took about close to 3 1/2 hours! and it didnt even last but about 2 hrs.! DO NOT BUY IT!!

Product Rating: 2 YUCK
Reviewer: Tori   Sat Nov 27 2004

Ugh, it is so small and your hair gets caught in the sides. It takes me 2 hours to straighten even after blow drying! My hair is shoulder length and a little wavy and it still takes that long!

Product Rating: 1 WORST FLAT IRON EVER!!
Reviewer: Anonymous   Thu Apr 01 2004

I bought this iron a few weeks ago, and it is HORRIBLE. I doesnt do ANYTHING for you!!.I sat their straightening for like 2 hours, and it did not do anything for my long wavy locks. Now I have the Solano Sapphire Iron and I am sooooooooooo happy with it. If you must use this iron, blow dryer it first and save yourslef the aggrevation.
