Lighter dryer and better drying time
I just purchased a Conair tourmaline Ceramic Styler, Model 174T/XT. I have used it once and I find it heavy (2.8lbs) and it took my hair longer to dry than my previous dryer. Is there a light weight Ionic dryer that is better than this one in the same price range. I paid $30.00. Would go to $60.00. My hair is very thick. Question posted by Deb Sat Mar 01 2008
is this a ion hair dryer?
I bought but have not used this dryer. I asked the woman at the beauty supply store if it was an ion dryer and she said yes. But now I'm not sure if it is. Question posted by Anna Fri Aug 26 2005

I would say YES, because the air comes out through ceramic vents. There is no on-off "ion" switch. I used to buy ionic dryers that have that switch, but I finally realized that what I really needed for stick straight, smooth hair was a narrow concentrator nozzle---which this dryer has, by the way. I haven't sent in a review yet, as I've only had the dryer for 2 weeks).
