I color my hair with Colora, but here is what I did to keep the color fresh every day, here is what I did:
I took one large (22.5) oz bottle of Suave Naturals Lavender conditioner and emptied enough out to put in one bottle of Colora Henna Creme and mixed it together. (I used Colora "Mahogany" color). I use this formula in place of my creme rinse. I leave the creme rinse on my hair for a few minutes before rinsing out. For shampoo, I used Klorane (sold at Folica.com) shampoo. It is very mild and leaves my hair clean and shiny without stripping the color. After towl drying my medium length hair, I use a small amount (dime sized in palm of hand) of Biosilk Silk Therapy before using the blow dryer.
I am very pleased with the results.

I read on another site that when used henna coloring products you should cover the hair with a cap if you want to accentuate bluish or burgandy tones but leave the cap off if you want more red beased tones.

The longer you keep it on, the richer the color. Once I put on Colora Henna, I wrap my head with plastic wrap, then put on the accompanying plastic cap, and cover my head with a terry "turban" type head cover. I place an old towel on my pillow in case of spillage (has never spilled, so far) and sleep with it on all night. Once I awake, I wash it off with my morning shower. Color is richer, hair is thicker and alot more manageable.
