I disagree with all of the negative comments about this product. I have used this product to remove Manic Panic and Special FX. It removes a majority of the color, leaving behind only a slight stain that is easily dyed over. I love this product and highly recommend it. It saved me a lot of time and a great deal of shampoo.
Not to mention, it'll remove hair dye from your skin, the sink, your clothes, or any other surface you may have spilled it on.
Sort of worked

I tried this on a semi-perm. dye job and it removed some of the tint. I dyed my blond hair auburn and it ended up looking magenta. After using this one time, it was a decent looking red, but by no means blond. It definitely stings though.

I tried to remove a semi-permanent tint because it was too
dark 3 times and it didn't budge. It smells horrible and is a complete waste of time and money, i think we should all be refunded !!!!!!!!!

I used this 17 hours after I colored with Clairol Complements Demi. Followed instructions to the "T" and nothing happened. A big waste!

Don't use this product. It will only damage your hair and leave you with just as bad, if not worse color than you started out with!
i totally disagree

I have used this product many times and I love it. If you use it for what the product is designed to do it works great!

WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER USED!!! If you are even thinking that this would be a good product to try think again....i know many other girls and myself who have tried uncolor and it hasn't worked for any of them or me. It's burns your scalp after a while and you see nothing change from the color....but sometimes if your lucky you can have your hair change to colors like green! DON'T DARE TO TRY IT ON YOURSELF BECAUSE IF IT HASN'T WORKED FOR ANYBODY ELSE IT PROBABLY WON'T WORK FOR YOU EITHER...just trying to save you the time and the money AND the DISAPOINTMENT of this product.

I attempted to remove a dark color from my hair with this product. Things did not work out in my favor. The product in conjunction with my resisitant dark color actually turned my hair GREEN ! It was no where near Saints Patrick Day so I had a mess on my hands! The next day i went to the local wig store and purchased my first wig. Using Clairol's Uncolor was a big mistake :-(

I bought this a few days ago to get rid of a Natural Instincts shade that's simply not fading fast enough for me. Should've came here and read the reviews first. I've tried this twice with no results. I thought that maybe it was just me, but I'm glad to know that it's not. This is an absolute crap product. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be damaging or drying out my hair.
It's unanimous

I had the same results as everyone else - nothing happened. Better spend your time using One n'Only ColorFix, which actually works. But follow directions.

I put many applications of Clairol Uncolor on my hair with almost no results!! I had very blond hair and put on a Clairol brown semi-permanent. It came out black! The only thing that removed any color was Dawn dishwashing liquid!!! I used a Clairol conditioner that was supposed to remove build up of hair products, and that worked better than the Uncolor product. I love Clairol products but the Uncolor was a huge dissapointment and it was expensive with shipping and handling. But, it's nice to know you like feedback on your products.

This disappointing product had absolutely no effect on the "semipermanent" (no alcohol, no peroxide, no ammonia) color I wanted to remove. It did, however, dry out my hair and leave it with an offensive odor. My hair is the same undesirable color as before I used Uncolor, but in worse shape.
Does not work!

This product had no effect. I tried it six times and followed directions carefully. It had ZERO effect at removing (or changing) the color on my hair. It burned my eyes and scalp...but NO EFFECT AT ALL! Don't waste your money or time.

THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK. FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS EXACTLY 2 TIMES AND NOTICED VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE IN HAIR COLOR. CHOSE A MEDIUM BROWN INSTEAD OF A LIGHTB BROWN... WHAT A MISTAKE... UNCOLOR DOES NOT WORK... SOMEBODY SHOULD TELL CLAIROL

I tried in vain to have the dark tones I covered my naturally gorgeous red hair with (don't ask why!) But this product was just a complete waste of my time, money and effort, I tried 4 times to remove the colour and it's still there, my hair also feels dry, thinned and unhealthy, unlike what it did feel like before I coloured it, full of life, texturised and healthy.

I used a semi-permanent black haircolor and hated it. Wanted to go back to my natural dark brown color, and used this 4 times now to get the color out...and so far - no change! Very frustrating. Try something else before wasting your money on this.

This product doesn't work at all. I tried it twice to remove a Semi-permanent Redkin Shampoo color. I was trying to cover some gray and wanted to go back to natural. You would be better off to wash your hair in some dish detergent a few times. That is a beauty shop secret. It will be a lot more gentle on your scalp and hair than this. And also on your pocketbook.
not the best

After purchasing this product, I was quite eager to remove the semi-permanent red streaks in my hair. But this product was of little assistance. The water-like consistency of the liquid had a hard time staying in my hair, and after two applications, the color remained in my hair, now a pinkish-orange hue. The only thing I actually got out of this product was a burning sensation on my scalp.
