its an okay straightener... i bought a curl master hair straightener 2 years ago, it was great but it died and i cant live without it. So i bought this one because it kind of looked the same so i bought this one... how stupid could i be. This one straightens my hair but my hair isnt soft like it was when i used the curl master one. It was a cheap straightener but the curl master was the same price. I have long hair thats curley but not out of control. I kno what im doing when i do my hair, it come out straight with this one but not as great as it could be. im not impressed and i miss my curl master... :(

i am 21 years old and i have always had unmanagable frizzy hair, nothing has worked, not even chemical straightening. Ceramic tools in absolutely amazing, my hair doesnt even get frizzy when it is humid, i wish i had a picture.
Wonderful for straighting

I have owned mine for about a year and I have had nothing but joy from it. It can straighten all types of hair in matter of seconds! As I shared an apartment with 5 other girls we all would use it in the morning and never need to touch up! It is amazing!
Love It

This flat iron is so easy to work with and the price is great. I have very thick coarse hair and this iron gets my hair nice and smooth. I have owned the iron for over 2 years and it still works great.
Spend your money elsewhere

I had one of these for maybe 6 months and living in a high humidity state (Florida) I just assumed that my hair was frizzing up so quickly because of the weather. *hankfully* this little piece of crap iron died one day totally out of the blue and I went and got a 'Hot Tools' iron. My hair has never been straighter, shinier and it is growing like crazy. I usually see this iron on sale for $9.99 and I see why now, it's a piece of crap.

At first, I thought this product was great, considering I had never had a ceramic straightener before and for the money it seemed amazing! My hair is SUPER thick and curly and while it would straighten it, it'd takea meager 45 minutes to an hour of clipping and going over and over the hair. It never really made the hair shiney, but mostly just dry, so I always had to add something to it afterwards to keep the shine and hopefully keep it straight. Unfortunately, living in Savannah, GA, the minute I walked out the door, even after all that work, it would curl up like I had hardly done anything to it.
After 6-8 monthes, the "ceramic" or the yellow stuff on the plates, started to come off. Sometimes it would even come out in my hair in what appeared to be burnt, black, goopy specks that were hard to get out, even having to cut some hair out when it was in large chunks (luckily I had the type of haircut that was the "messy look" so some missing didn't matter). After the yellow stuff started to disappear, the iron didn't heat up evenly, and as you can imagine, I was hesitant to use it when I didn't want to get that funk in my hair and have to get a new hair cut. I got another iron, same model and all, since they were so inexpensive, and same thing happened with the surface, so this is tried and tested. I would NOT recommend this to ANYONE, unless you need a straightener for a couple of monthes until you can afford a good one, that's the ONLY exception.
great value!

This iron is much better than most, especially for the $$! I've used chi and other higher end brands, but this one cost less, and gave me smoother results, w/o damaging my hair!
Ugh! Do not buy this!

Do NOT buy this product if your hair is thick, wavy, curly or whatsoever. It doesn't even straighten well PLUS it makes your hair wavy after 30 minutes, it's ridiculous! I hate this product!!
excellent buy for the price!

I bought this straightener a little over two years ago, and it has worked wonders since then! My hair is sort of naturally straight, but this flat iron made it silky smooth and very manageable! The only problem is that it recently died, now it won't heat up at all. However, I still love this flat iron, and for two years of use, it was definitly a great buy!
SOmehow, Mine lasted...

I find it odd, but my Ceramic Tools iron has lasted nearly 3 years!!! I have no idea why I'm that lucky! My mom's, however, lasted only 4 months...go figure. But it's time to retire Old Faithful....I bought a Sedu and it's coming in soon! Yippy!
didnt like it

I had one of these along time ago of course i think I broke it somehow so I've been searching for another one for awhile. When I had it, it did a great job on my hair. I know a couple people that have one of them too and they love it so its all good with me. I'm glad I found this site.

i bought this flat iron after trying many others and it was amazing at first and it made my hair stick straight and not one bit frizzy but when i went into the humidity it would just wave at the ends but it had a bad burning smell and 2 months later it just dies so i bought another one and it still had the smell and the plates started to get burnt and then it started to rub off and it started to dry my hair out and broke it if i were you i would invest into a more expensive flat iron that works alot better and will last alot longer its actually will save you money
it broke?!?!

I used to have this flat iron. I wouldnt recommend it to any1 who wants to straighten there hair everyday. I had a fine time with mine and my hair look great until it broke. After maybe 6 months it just died one morning. But if ur on a budget it works well before it breaks.

My hair was great for the first month, then as time passed My hair started to like crumble. My hair is u know regular but straight. Sleeek hair is in. I have never had split ends. Then My night mare came true. If you want to have thin hair... ( The ceramic plates take out strands of your hair!!!) Well buy it if u must, but be careful.

This Iron does exactly as it is advertised and I am completely satisfied with its performance and durability. I definitely recommend this. I have fairly straight hair to begin with, so I am not sure of its performance with curly hair.
Stopped working!

This iron did an okay job of styling my hair, but it stopped working within 4 months! This was a waste of money.
