This is a thousand times better than what I have been using for years! The very best things are that it heats up to temp in less than a minute and it maintains the temperature without waiting between every curl. It took a few times to get the hang of it, but now my curls are fantastic! If you are looking for a new curling iron and want scrumptious curls, this is the one to buy! Thanks go to Folica too because the price, the service and the delivery were superior.
doesn't last

Worked well for a few months. Now I, like another reviewer, have a giant brown burned spot on it in addition to areas where the gold "ceramic" has worn off. Now all it does is fry my hair! SAve your money.
The jury is still out on this one

I have been using this for a week now and I am still on the fence. I think it works well but it makes my hair fuller (this may be becuase I ordered a smaller size that what I am used to) I am going to continue to use it and see.

i have the typical long dark thin asian hair, and usual iron curlers, the curls doesn't even last before i get out of the door. but this is amazing! i didn't even have to use any mousse or hair spray and i have beautiful bouncy hair that didn't feel like i just burnt it.. i highly recommend it!!! it's great!
Not that great in the long run...

The durability of this iron is not so good. I bought my about 8 months ago. It was great in the beginning. Now, the gold, ceramic plate has turned into a dark, brown that looks "burnt". That discoloration cannot be good. I wipe it clean after I use it but the color is still there. I am shopping for a new one that will last longer.

I haven't used a curling iron in quite a few years for fear of damaging my already chemically-processed hair. The fact that this iron is ceramic is a big plus for me. It heats up very quickly and has many heat settings. No "burning hair" sizzle either ;)
Definitely worth it

You definitely get your money's worth with this curling iron. I bought the more expensive one and it didn't do as good as a job than this one. It had a tight grip on your hair so it can tug at the hair. But for the price and the results, the $40 is worth it!

This curling iron is a great value for the money. It heats up quickly and gets VERY hot. I was skeptical that it couldn't be that good because I had to spend a lot more to get a good flat iron. This curing iron is great...the only drawback being that if you have fine hair it will tug some. For those of us with thick and unruly hair it's great. I would definately recommend this product.
Love it!

This curling iron is exactly what I was looking for. It heats up quickly and works great on my fine, thin hair. The best curling iron I've owned!
Not as Good as Ceramic Should be

I bought this iron thinking that if my straightener is so good, why not get a curling iron made out of the same material? Maybe this is just a cheap version (it probably is) but is tugs and doesn't work as well as my gold plated curler.
Love this thing!

I have had my share of curling irons, but thought I would try a ceramic one, since I use a ceramic flat iron. This iron is a world of a differnce from a regular metal iron! My hair looks so healthy, and less dry than using one other than ceramic. In addition to my Chi Flat iron, this is a great pair!! I definitely would reccommend this iron if you are in the market!
Great!

This curling iron is fantastic especially for the price. I was impressed with the smoothness it gave my hair, fast heat up and loved the range of settiings. I wish I had chosen a barrel a size smaller but that was my mistake. I'm sure I'll do just that in a couple of weeks.
Much Better All Around!

This curling iron is much better than others I've bought for the same price for the following reasons:
-heats up quickly and at a much higher temp. than other irons, making styling quicker
-temp. setting not as easy to accidentally reset as other irons
-cord doesn't tangle
Highly recommend!
Loving IT!

I used my new curling iron this morning for the first and I just had to say how much I loved it. I like the fact that there are so many different temperature settings. It only took a very short time for the iron to heat up and I was done curling my hair in much less time than usual.
My old curling irons are already packed in a box to be donated to Goodwill. I will never go back!

I like this very much. I haven't used a curling iron in years. Ceramics make a huge difference and this model has a huge range of settings for different styles and hair types. I also like that I can turn it off without unplugging it. I did have a problem with accidentally changing the heat settings in the beginning, but hardly do it at all anymore.

I find this product to be superior to the old metal curling irons. It provides the benifits of a ceramic tool and is much cheaper!
easier on hair than my old curling iron

Ceramic definitley gentler on my hair than my metal one & for a good price. Only problem is that it takes quite a bit longer for it to heat up.
Tugs at my hair...

I was excited to get this ceramic pro curling iron but it has an odd surface that tugs at my fine hair. It does get extra hot and I'm sure it would be good for thicker hair but I'm sending it back because it was a no go on my hair.
