I AM ABOUT TO BUY MY FOURTH CARUSO HAIRSETTER IN TWENTY YEARS, SO IT DOES LAST AN AVERAGE OF FIVE YEARS, WHICH IS GREAT FOR THE PRICE. I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT AND RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE WHEN THEY ASK ME ABOUT MY CURLS, THEY ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW WHO DID MY HAIR.

Caruso curlers too expensive

Fantastic hairsetter but why don't they just sell the foam part of the roller? I have a whole bag of rollers with no foam, it's too expensive to have to keep buying rollers. The foam has to be the cheapest part of roller so why not sell that!! If you need a lot like I do it's just as expensive as buying a whole new hairsetter. Wait!! Maybe that's the idea. It's a terrific system though, curls last forever!!

I have been using this product for years and I love it my curls will still be in my hair the next day, a little less tight, but they will still be in my hair. I am done rolling my hair in 20 minutes,go have breakfast,brush my teeth,and my hair is ready.
My only problem with this product is the steamer does not last. The one with salt lasted about 7 years.
The ones without salt only last about 6 months,or less.

I have fine hair which typically takes well to curlers (its long and very easily styled) and this product is the absolute worst. It does act quickly and the curls fall out just as quickly - I dont recommend it at all!

I love these steam rollers I bought them back in 2002 and it still gives me amazing curls I don't use them as much as I use to but it definitely does the job sorry for those who didn't have any luck with it but not all hair is created equal but for me it was definitely worth the investment thanks Caruso!

I BOUGHT MY FIRST SET TWELVE YEARS AGO, LAST WEEK MY CURLERS (THE SPONGE PART OF THE ROLLER) FINALLY STARTED TO FALL OFF. I WAS SO UPSET. I WENT TO A LOCAL DEPARTMENT STORE AND BOUGHT A HOT ROLLER SET, AND I TOOK ALMOST TWENTY MINUTES TO HEAT UP, AND THEN MY HAIR WAS COMPLETLY FLAT BEFORE I WAS TO GO ON STAGE (I AM A MOTIVATIONAL PARENT ADVOCATE) NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS SO UPSET. I WENT TO FOUR DIFFERNT STORES TRYING TO LOCATE MY STEAM-SETTER. AFTER I HAD ALL BUT GIVEN UP, MY DAUGHTER SUGGESTED TO TRY THE NET, AND SURE ENOUGH I FOUND IT. I BOUGHT A WHOLE NEW SET,AND I RECIEVED IT TWO DAYS LATER, (JUST IN TIME FOR ANOTHER LECTURE) AND IT WORKED GREAT. THANK YOU RICHARD CARUSO AND FOLICA.COM!!!

I've used this product for years and recently bought the newer version which does not require salt. I love that convenience but found the newer curlers don't absorb moisture as well as the old ones so the curl is less tight than in the past. I suspect someone got a major steam burn so they revised the design of the curlers so they don't hold as much steam. Regardless, I am still sold on the product. It is fast (2 mins per curl if you just want smoothness + body) and a lot better than frying your hair with other heated products.
Yes, it DOES work for colorful women!

I was afraid that this product wouldn't work on me. I am a million and one different flavors, and as a result I have wildly naturally curly hair---all sorts of mixed textures and sizes of curls. I was told that it probably wouldn't work on me. Well, the lady at the store can eat her heart out because this product makes my hair GEOOOOWWW--GEOUS!
I do have to smooth out my hair with a flat iron after blow drying first. I use the rollers afterwards, and it creates big, luscious, smooth, shiny curls. I've tried to achieve this type of curl with curling irons, but to no avail. The curls from Caruso last for about two days for me. I have received A TON of compliments on how gorgeous my hair looks.
For anyone who says that their hair ends up in a wet mess from using this system--you have to know how to use the product! I only leave the rollers on the steamer for about 30 or so secs each, so that they are hot and damp but not wet! I don't put any products on my hair prior to using the rollers, either. No need to--the steam is gentle enough and moisturizing enough not to need protective or conditioning products! Try it!

THIS IS THE BEST HAIRSETTER I HAVE EVERY USED. I HAVE SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TRYING DIFFERENT HAIRSETTERS AND THE BEST ONE I FOUND WAS THE MOST REASONABLE IN PRICE.

I have been usung these hair setter for years. MUCH better than a curling iron since it doesn't cause any heat damage!

About to give up on my fine straight hair, I was going to get a perm. I don't like perms but I don't like my straight hair either. I decided to try these instead. They worked wonders! Curls is exactly what I got. They stay in tight for the first day and go to strong waves for the second! I'm impressed and will NEVER be without them again. A little tip: make sure your hair is dry-dry-dry before you take the curlers out. Put them in first thing and then get ready for your day. About 30 minutes or so is what my hair needs to really set. WELL worth the time and money.

The Caruso Steamsetter is the best hot roller set I have ever used. I got my first one 15 years ago and would not be without it. I have a back up unit in case this one should die. It is the only hair setter that really curls very straight hair. If I get a perm. wave, I can straighten my hair to my liking with these steam curlers, or use small curlers for lots of little curls. The only thing to remember is your hair must be bone dry befor you start. I would recomend it to anyone. It has truly been a lifesaver for me.
Thin Hair keeps the curl!!

I love the Caruso hair products. I actually wear them out!
Old fashioned hair curlers were too hot and drying and got tangled in my hair. Plus my hair never kept the curl.
With the Caruso setters, my thin yet plentiful-with-zillions-of- cowlicks hair stays curly, healthy and shiny.

I have used this product for 10 years..have even purchased from friends. The directions don't tell you this but are a must:
- You must use an end paper. You can purchase at any beauty supply store. Place on the end of each section first before rolling. I put a little oil on my ends first, then end paper, then roll.
- After removing the heated roller you must give it a "flick" of the wrist so as to get the excess water out, then roll your hair.
-Remove rollers and let curls cool for a minute or two, then style.
I have used these rollers for years and although I have always had long, think hair...I'm now 36 and still have the same long thick hair...I can't say it is all because of the rollers, but they certainly helped.

I have been using this product for over 10 years and it is the easiest system with the best results I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this hair styling unit to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of time on their hair. It is fast and easy to use.

Well this is my 2nd time purchasing this product and i have to say the quality is worse than the first one. After only one week the unit started slowing down for making the steam. By the end of the 2nd week it had stopped altogether, i have used this particular one a total of 3 times....not exactly a bargain! The store where I bought this would not take it back stating as its electrical in nature i have to contact the company. Please do yourselves a favor and look into another product. I dont know which one im going with but i'll be sure to do some research first.

I have had two Caruso hair setters in the last 20 years. The one I got 10 years ago is still working but the screws that held the top on rusted through so I had to buy a new one. I have not used the ion setting on the new one but have used it twice and it is just as effective as the old ones. I just hope it lasts as long. I am going to buy another one just for back up and am scared to throw the old one away. It still works without the top fastened down. I had to use it for a month until I got the new one. My husband said I am going to electrocute myself using it without the top screwed down, but I would have to risk it in a pinch! I would have to call in sick at work if my Caruso didn't work. I wonder about these reviews from people who have the new one and say it doesn't work like the old ones did. Mine works exactly like the old one. And as far as the foam rollers? When the foam wears out, I just buy those cheap foam rollers on the little plastic clip for wet hair, pull off the foam and stretch it over the Caruso roller and it works beautifully! I'm wondering what difference the ionic setting makes though. I haven't used it yet.

I have had a Caruso Molecular Hairsetter for over 20 years (the one you add salt to). I really loved the way it made my hair feel and beauticians were amazed at the sheen with my thick hair. When it went out, I was devastated (and on vacation at the time). I had to deal with it and went to Walgreens and bought a hot air brush - hated it!!!! I ordered this unit and had it shipped 2nd day air - I just couldn't wait to get it!!!
I received my order on July 2nd - this morning, July 16th, the unit fizzed out on me - it just quit!!! I am very disappointed with this product and wish I could find the old type of hairsetter! I would gladly reorder it - even though I had to use salt with it. I am not reordering this model - I will try a different model as I am very leery of exchanging this for the same thing!!!

I have purchased 5 sets of this product, probably more, but I’ve lost count. The first set lasted almost 2 years, the others worked less than 1 yr. I’m sad to say that my current unit, which lasted not quite 1 yr, has gone out, what a disappointment. It’s been an investment on my part, with the first one costing $30 and this last one about $45. The curling set, when it works, is great, and I love the results. With the exception of the 1st one, which I ordered by telephone (TV Ad), the remaining were ordered locally, at a beauty supply store. When the 2nd one burned out, I contacted the store and was told I could not receive my money back, but should return it to the company for repairs. I couldn’t justify my spending more money. All I have left is a supply of rollers, but no unit. As you can see, I’ve been a faithful user, even though it’s been quite a disappointment. How can we fix this problem!

THESE ROLLERS WERE TOTALLY NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I HAVE UNRELAXED, COLOR TEATED HAIR SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME TO USE HAIR PRODUCTS THAT WILL HELP ME MANAGE BUT NOT DAMAGE MY HAIR. AFTER USEING THE CARUSO ROLLERS I LOOKED LIKE I HAD BEEN ATTACKED BY A WILD BEAST. ALL I WANTED WAS TO BE ABLE TO HAVE FULL BOUNCY CURLS EVERYDAY WITH OUT USING DIRECT HEAT. AFTER HEATING THE ROLLERS WITH THE STEAM THEY BECAME WET, WHICH MADE MY HAIR WET! THIS IS A DEFINANT NO NO FOR WOMEN OF COLOR WITH NATURALY CURLY AND FRIZZY HAIR. I RUINED MY BLOW DRYED LOOK. I SENT MY BEST FRIEND A PICTURE OF THE NEST THAT HAD REPLACED MY BEAUTIFUL HAIR, SHE IS STILL LAUGHING AT ME WEEKS LATER!
